James is a brilliant personal trainer and all round great guy. I've been training with him for nearly a year now and don't see myself stopping any time soon - he has made me genuinely look forward to exercising (quite a feat in itself). James is a wizard! After suffering a severe heart attack a few years ago, I've been hesitant to get back into the gym. My health and fitness levels took a big hit. However, James has been training me for 2 months now and I genuinely can't believe how much I've achieved. I only wish I'd signed up sooner. He's tailored a training plan to help me build up my strength and stamina in a safe and supported way. The progress has been consistent and we're taking notable steps forward each week. I really enjoy training with James, he's a stand up chap and and I look forward to every session. He has a way of striking the perfect balance of pushing me a little harder each week and remaining understanding of my heart condition. He's a true professional and I thoroughly recommend him. I have been training with James since earlier this year and I have already lost a lot of weight and become much fitter. James is not only great as a Personal Trainer but he has also become my friend (and also my therapist at times ! !) . James has trained myself and is currently training with my 14 yr old son who is preparing for pro football academy trials. James has devised a specialised fitness and nutrition programme for him and within 5 sessions we are already seeing results. James is inspiring and encouraging and always gets the best from those he trains. He tailors every session to the individual. We would wholeheartedly recommend him. More...

James is a very understanding and supportive personal trainer and will go above and beyond to help you meet your goals. I enjoy every session and the results are amazing. Back in 2015 my fitness journey started with James at Body & Soul Fitness and I am thrilled with the progress I have made both physically and mentally during our weekly sessions. I had been to the gym long before meeting James with little or no results, and if anything those early attempts at getting in shape did more harm than good - setting me up mentally that I just wasn't strong enough or didn't have the genetics to gain muscle. I lacked focus, direction and as a result my motivation suffered. But James turned all of that around - proving that through an individually tailored program I can make a real difference to my fitness. I'm now a lot stronger and toned, to the point where colleagues and friends regularly comment on the positive change in my physical appearance. I'm also much more motivated and dedicated in achieving new strength goals and I know that with James' expert direction I will succeed. This is all underpinned by the fact that James is such a nice, congenial guy who makes the sessions fun and varied. I was recommended to James by my wife who has been training with him for some time. James varies the sessions so that they are always different and manages to keep my motivation levels high. My fitness has undoubtedly improved since starting and I always look forward to the next session. I have grown in confidence and knowledge about my body and have been able to take control of my nutrition thanks to his knowledge. He has a small studio but it's perfect for 1:1 or small groups. James is very inventive and although I train multiple times a week the sessions are always different and changing. I would definitely recommend Body and Soul Fitness to anyone. More...

My mum (56) and I (32) have been seeing Jame for 7 month now. The results have been amazing. Physically we are losing inches, our health has improved so much it's given me the courage to join a running club. Which is something that was only a dream before I started training. I find james able to adapt not only to our health differences but also our personalities. He knows how to push us beyond what we think we our capable of. I have been training with James for over 3 years now, and look forward to going to every session. I was never into going to the gym before as I found it boring and repetitive but training with James is so varied i can't remember the last time we done the same session!
I would highly recommend James to anyone I know looking to either loose weight or just get fit.

If you are looking for a dedicated and experienced Personal Trainer then James is the perfect choice.
I came to James wanting to lose weight and educate myself about food and nutrition.
He helped me begin my weight loss journey and week by week see changes in myself both mentally and physically.
Ive met other personal trainers and i can honestly say none of them are as passionate about their job than James. He cares about his clients and is always on hand to answer any questions you may have. He always will go the extra mile.
If your looking for someone to push you past your comfort zone, James will push you and make you stronger than you ever believed you could be.

James has given me the guidance, motivation and will power to achieve my weight and strength goals!

I’ve always struggled to put on weight, and with a number of food intolerances, ridiculously quick metabolism and a naturally small frame, I always felt it was a near to impossible task!

However, with him pushing me that extra mile, providing me with the right programme and nutritional advice I’ve been able to put on a stone and half in muscle! I’ve still got a way to go to reach my target weight but I’m well on my to achieving this!

If your looking for a personal trainer then I couldn’t recommend James highly enough, not only does he know his stuff but he’s very personable and easy to get on with, which I think is important when you’re training with someone on a regular basis.
