What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The greatest secret I can talk about is understanding light and how light affects a photograph. It's so important to understand the photography gear you are using and the ability to modify and manage light-either natural or artificial strobe produced. Clients also want and need someone easy and fun to work with and my experiences over the years helps to make subjects feel at ease and natural when I focus my camera.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
The first thing I try and ask a new client is how they want their customers to see them.
What do you love most about your job?
I really love meeting and working with an incredible diverse group of clients. Each shoot is a new experience and I feel so blessed to share my talents with them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I spent over thirty years working on staff at various newspapers and magazines and when changes occurred in the publishing business, eliminating a lot of full-time jobs, I wanted to walk through a new door and be inspired by the new experience of working for myself for the first time.

Hopefully, my work speaks for itself-that a new client can see the high quality of work that I can produce. Also, I hope that they can see that I love what I do, get excited to focus my camera and that I truly care about making great images that speak to what my customers are all about.

Editorial Photography
My years of experience as a photojournalist has allowed me to focus my camera all over the world. I have traveled to the world's greatest cities and smallest tribes, reporting on wars, natural and man-made disasters and many professional and amateur sporting events. I have covered the Olympics, Super Bowl, World Series, Stanley Cup, World Series and the NCAA Final Four and National Football Championship. I have made portraits of Yogi, Shaq, Kobe and Cam. I have also focused on many Presidents and a Pope.
Sports Action and Portrait Photography
I have spent most of my career making photographs under deadline for the Sports pages of daily newspapers as well as sports magazines. My assignments have taken me to many professional and amateur championships and I have shot portraits of many of the greatest athletes that have ever played a game.
