What do you love most about your job?
I love it that every day is different and every job is different. I may be designing a garden or organising other designers which is very stimulating creatively. We get a great deal of satisfaction form building gardens and standing back to look at them. The best gardens look like they have always been there and you struggle to remember what they looked like before. It's great to visit a garden a few years on and see how it has evolved and matured. I also love working in a team, now the business has grown a little there is a great camaraderie.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I didn't intend to start my own business but I took a course in organic horticulture one day a week for a year and people kept asking me to work for them in their gardens. That was 12 years ago and after a few steep learning curves I soon started creating gardens from scratch. I hope it continues in this way.
