I’ve pretty much been allergic to the gym for my entire life. In fact, I still am. Luckily for me Blue Fusion Fitness isn’t a mere gym. It’s an ultra-supportive community of people interested in exercise. No judgement. No competition. No drama. Just hard work, fun, and encouragement. The stellar atmosphere comes from the amazing instructors and trickles down to the person putting in work next to you. No matter your fitness level or workout interest, BFF has a class for you: spin, yoga, barre, surfset, HIIT, TRX, and dance. With that amount of variety, you’ll never be bored or feel like you’re stuck in a routine. Beyond the great instructors and students, it needs to be mentioned that the facility is immaculate. It legit feels like a spa when you walk through the door. While you might not be going in to relax, you’ll feel amazing when your workout is complete. There have been plenty of times when I’ve felt less than great walking in the door, but I always feel happy and like a better person ready to tackle my day when I leave the building. I can’t think of a time when I haven’t left with a smile on my face. If you’re allergic to the gym/faceless chains and prefer to be around supportive people who truly care about your progress and well-being, look no further than Blue Fusion Fitness. More...

I have been attending classes at BFF since March of this year and have seen such a transformation in myself, not only physically but mentally as well! Blue Fusion Fitness has given me the confidence I was missing. There are a variety of classes to choose from, so you never get bored. From Barre to Spin to Yoga, even HIIT, TRX, Surf Set, Roll + Stretch, and Bounce, I have tried them all. I love that I can go to ONE FITNESS CENTER and get all the workouts I love, plus they are available for personal training too. The instructors are all amazing, very friendly and motivating. They have really helped me and made me feel at ease, especially with Spin and Yoga, which I was new to both practices. The owner Grace is so welcoming and she truly cares about each and every one of her clients! From my first day there, she’s always pushing me and encouraging me and because of that, I have come so far on my fitness journey. While my journey is not finished, I’m excited to continue taking classes in the newly renovated space and to get even stronger and more flexible! More...

Amazing little studio in Waltham. I took the blue barre bounce class with Grace and loved all the jumping that was involved. It was a small class with 6 people in it. Grace helped me set up the barre on the trampoline, which is around your waist area. This is a cardio-centered class with lots of jumping up and down and side to side. We used weights for as part of an arm workout and barre section after each cardio portion of the class. Grace was great at keeping the energy up and the playlist was very upbeat and bouncy to go along with the class. The only thing I found weird was that you're facing the back wall and not the mirrors. The studio itself is in great shape. There are two rooms and they offer a variety of classes from barre, to spin, to a surf class. There are lots of different options for purchasing packages from a 5 or 10 pack class as well as membership options. I will definitely be back to try their surf class in the near future. The bathroom has lockers and showers (with towels and amenities). If you check in on Yelp, you can purchase 3 pairs of barre socks for $20! More...

Grace and her staff take the time to get to know each client and make you feel as if you are the most important person in the class. Grace and her instructors are knowledgeable, challenging and fun. I love the wide variety of classes they offer, so there is something for everyone. I love the attention of the smaller class sizes since Grace has helped me with my form and consistently challenges me to strive for better form and alignment. Joining Blue Barre is truly one of the best things that I've done for myself! I started in May of 2017 and it has become an essential part of my life. Grace and her staff are fantastic! Everyone seems genuinely happy to be there both the staff and the clients. I really love that besides Barre there are so many other class options. Even with just the barre classes Grace mixes up her routines enough to keep workouts interesting. She continuously works the core muscles, while alternating between unique exercises that strengthen additional muscle groups throughout the body. She's always pushing us beyond our comfort levels but it's what we need to get the best results and it definitely works! If I'm not able to attend a class for a while, I notice results almost immediately after starting back up again. Within 2 classes not only do I feel a tightening throughout my body (especially my core) but I can begin to see it. Blue Barre offers many classes at different times starting from early in the morning to later evening classes. The 6am classes allow me to get a workout in before my kids are up and have to be out for the day. With so many classes offered daily I'm at least able to make 1 if not 2 classes each week. I always say early morning barre class is better than any cup of coffee! I leave feeling mentally clear and fully energized for the day. It's a great way to start off mornings year round and especially in the winter. It's also helpful that there are affordable package options so this leaves little pressure of when to attend a class if some weeks happen to get too hectic. With all of the class options I can easily create my own work out routines each week. I usually do a barre class 1-2x a week and then I use a Blue Cycle to get in my cardio. Another class that I enjoy is surfset. This class is great for building balance and coordination. I would highly recommend every class I have taken at Blue Barre and I look forward to trying some of the newer ones soon! More...

I've been going to Blue Barre for two years and I absolutely love it. I originally came to try out barre classes since I'd never done it but the studio has a ton of other fun classes, too, and I got hooked. All of the different levels of barre are fantastic, the TRX class is a great new challenge, and the cardio classes are fun workouts. Grace is always trying new classes so things never get old. I just started taking the pound class which seems good.I'm a big cheapo but I've been happily throwing down money for these classes because the workouts are great and Grace and the other instructors are so welcoming and encouraging. You won't find a more personal connection to a studio. Grace is so accommodating and worked with me while I was pregnant to alter the workouts based on movements I should be avoiding, which allowed me to keep going to class until I was too pregnant to do anything anymore. And from time to time when there are enough new moms in the studio, she sets up mommy and me barre classes geared specifically toward working out with a baby strapped to you. All the instructors make sure to check whether anyone has any injuries and works with those afflicted to avoid further damage and strengthen the problem area. Grace has a PHD in molecular biology, fer chrissake, so she has really good insight about some aspects of the body. The only warning I have is that the cancellation policy is no joke (three hours before a normal class and eight hours before a morning class) so don't sign up for classes until the last minute if you can help it. Some of the more popular smaller classes (like the TRX or Surfset ones) fill up quick so you have to pre-book them but the barre and cardio classes usually don't fill up completely so you can safely book those not long before it starts. If you sign up the night before for a class and then have a tough night and can't attend, you're out the class pass. If you're looking for a workout you'll actually look forward to doing definitely try this place! It's not scary at all as a new person. It's very easy to try out all the different classes to see what you like. More...

I recently started to go to classes at this studio and have taken Barre + Cardio, Pound, Piloxing and my favorite Barre TRX. I love TRX and haven't found a lot of places that offer it. I was dripping in sweat and my upper body was sore for days (in the best way possible.)All the instructors have been great, but Grace in particular, who is also the owner, is funny, approachable and has a great teaching style.
