I had my first, but certainly not last, experience with Missy Burns and Black
Velvet Desserts. I contacted Missy for my daughter's birthday.
Edelyn Parker had written about her love for these desserts so I decided to surprise her.
I called on very short notice. Missy was so helpful and Edelyn loved the dessert as she always has.
I will certainly use Black Velvet Desserts again, maybe even sample the desserts
myself and I recommend Missy and this company to all.

I recently got married and I have a huge sweet tooth so cake/dessert for my wedding was very important. My fiancé and I went to about 6 cake tastings around central Ohio before discovering Black velvet desserts. The tasting black velvet desserts provided us BLEW OUR SOCKS OFF compared to everyone else. The presentation of the desserts are beautifully done and so unique! And the taste of the desserts/cake are just as beautiful and yummy as the outside. Every single thing we tasted throughout the planning process were mouth wateringly delicious and unique flavors! Most, if not all of the flavor combinations were new to my palate and that says something because I love and eat a lot of desserts. The cake and desserts we asked for the wedding were everything we wanted and more! We got a lot of compliments on both! Missi was so great to work with, very flexible, accommodating, and sweet! We would definitely recommend Black Velvet Desserts for your wedding or future dessert need! More...

Black Velvet Desserts is the “Jeni’s of cakes”!!!
They offer so many exotic flavors that will blow your mind (Lavender + Lemon, Earl Grey + Hibiscus, etc).
These are creative/high quality cakes. My birthday cake from Black Velvet Desserts was so amazing and we can’t wait for them to make our wedding cake this October! �
