BLA is the best gym I ever have been to. I am a former D1 Basketball player and a current D1 Basketball Coach. Jeff, Chelsea, and Corey and are not only amazing people, but great coaches. They have transformed not only my body physically but has helped me so much mentally. I am stronger because of them, my mobility has never been so good, and I have made amazing lifestyle changes that have not only helped me professionally but has given we confidence in my everyday walk of life. I met them when I was coming off a knee injury. I could not squat all the way, my mobility was awful, couldn't even bend down and kneel. They modified and scaled for me, helped my nutrition and now I am stronger than I have ever been, even stronger than when I was in college competing. I use a lot of their coaching at my work, I am able to transfer their teaching points to my athletes. They have also worked with our College team and our individual athletes seek them out for training as well. This is the best gym in Orange County and it is because of the 1.COACHES 2.Workouts and 3. THE PEOPLE. Its a great atmosphere if you're advanced or just starting, they will get you where you want to be and I promise you, you will have a fun time doing so! I joined BLA first week of January in an attempt to try something new and get into better shape. I honestly considered myself a potato in terms of fitness level. Chelsea was patient, knowledgeable and thorough when showing me different movements. I'd never lifted a weight before joining this gym. Always too embarrassed or worried that I couldn't do it. Crossfit style workouts are my new favorite thing, I would highly recommend this gym for newbies-- or even if you're well into it already! The coaches are all so nice, but beyond that, they know what they're doing. They watch carefully even though it's a class, you do get personalized attention.The programming is fun and different every class, and you're able to view what it is the night before to mentally prepare. I have never gotten bored. Getting PR's (personal records) are hugely motivational in continuing and getting stronger. The coaches push you as hard as they think you can handle, and they almost always think you can handle more than you think you can! The other gym members are also very friendly and fun to work out with. It becomes a little gym family. I'm really enjoying my experience here. :) More...

I love the positive and motivating energy at Black Label Athletics,. The trainers are friendly, very knowledgeable and will push you to achieve your goals. My trainer spent the time to discuss my lifestyle, stress, body, food. etc. and put together a custom plan specifically for me. The classes are great, and everyone is super supportive. I'm beyond happy that I made the decision to better my health and choose Black Label. What makes Black Label Athletics gym different from others out there 1. PROGRAMING. They use different strategies to achieve strength, power, speed and athleticism2. INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION You actually receive quality instruction on your form and get critiqued on your LIFTS versus other gyms with  larger group classes it's all about packing in as many people as you can without a qualified Coach's Eye watching your form to ensure you're doing the movement properly and safely.3. NUTRITION COACHING every couple months the gym runs nutrition challenges to help motivate members to continue to lose weight or gain muscle depending on their goals. I've found it to be very refreshing and informative information. After all results are 90% based on nutrition. I would highly recommend this gym if you're a beginner, intermediate or even an advance lifter looking for a gym that takes its programming, nutrition and coaching serious. More...

Jeff is hands down one of the best trainers in the business. He figures out what you need, designs training programs around what works for your body (especially if you have chronic injury prone areas) and tells it like it is. I made more gains in the first six months with Jeff than I did with any other trainer in 10 years. Black Label is legit. They know their stuff. Plus, they're a fun crew to train with. More...

All the trainers are experts at instructing proper techniques, motivating clientele, and making workouts fun, but the majority of my experience here has been with Jeff. My goal was not the typical weight loss,  but rather to gain weight by putting on more muscle mass while decreasing percent body fat. Jeff understood my goals and developed workouts aimed at achieving my goals. He has also helped me understand my nutritional needs to help meet my goals. All the trainers / owners are super knowledgeable, experienced, focused and energized. And most importantly they care about you as a person and as an athlete. This is my favorite gym and believe me when I say I've been to many. I'm a gym rat but BLA is more than a gym it's a community. I love working out with the people there. They are so encouraging, helpful but still competitive. The trainers are the real deal, no joke. They take the time to program great workouts. They accommodate everyone   from all skills. Classes are full of energy, great music and plenty of toys to workout with. Plus coach El Jefe is all kinds of eye candy. More...

I don't know where to start but here goes, being over 40 and a cancer survivor this gym has literally saved my life...BLA has helped me both mentally and physically! I can still remember coming on my first day scared and just not knowing what to do, but all the coaches were very approachable and most of all patient! I've been through surgery and they would modify the workouts for me and still got results! I love the support and encouragement from everyone at the gym. Only those who commit & step foot into BLK Label Athletics know what's up! So many good things to say starting with the top notch attention-to-detail training from ElJefe, Chelsea & Corey. Quality coaching and knowledge, passion & energy is what separates these three & the gym from the rest. I love that all of the gym equipment is top of the line and clean. One of my favorite parts of BLA is the sense of team & community. Being an ex-athlete I felt lost for years trying to find the right fit/balance/accountability in my workouts. What makes BLA special? A lot of things: 1. Class size - classes are typically around 6 individuals, with sometimes as few as 2, and rarely more than 10. This means that the level of coaching and one on one attention is way above that of other gyms, which is important because...2. Programming - BLA has a unique approach to programming, where most classes are broken into three phases, warm-up, strength/technique training, metcon/cardio blast. This means that in every workout you have time to train skills and learn new tips and tricks to improve your technique & help you get stronger, this is great and results in more....3. GAINS - BLA has allowed me to take my fitness to another level. My weight has stayed consistent, but my body composition has changed drastically, with noticeably more muscle. I set goals at the start of the year for weights I wanted to lift and 5 months in have already achieved almost all of them, with 20-40% gains on my lifts. Abs, arms, shoulders are all stronger and more defined. GAINS come from consistency, and it's easy to be consistent when you have such a good...4. Community - The people at BLA are great. The coaches all keep motivation high in class, and really care about gym members goals and growth. The other athletes will push you and support you, and it feels bomb.com to start the day working out with the same people, and seeing the whole class progress together. Black Label Athletics is an amazing place to be.  The coaches are not only good at what they do, they also care about the athletes.  They make sure you are doing the moves right, support you, challenge you, and motivate you to always keep improving.  Every day that I workout I feel like I am getting stronger.  I have such a good time at this gym that I don't even think about how hard working out used to be for me.  I have been there for a little over a year and thanks to the coaches and fellow athletes constantly pushing me, I got a pretty a pretty awesome transformation Tuesday post as well! :) More...

Black Label has been my home for the past year and a half. The gym is amazing from the coaches, programming, group structure to the music they play (most of the time *cough Jeff cough*). Their open door policy and flexibility to work with their athletes is unlike any other gym experience I've had. I truly love everything about the place and they make it a great time for everyone. This placed saved my life.  I have always had some sort of exercise in my life, but my life had become overloaded.  I was introduced to CrossFit by BLA and they were able to take someone a bit older than most and never made me feel left out.  The coaches took the time to make sure I did all routines with proper form and modified (yet safely pushed me) to keep developing my strength and skills.  The other athletes that make up the community are great and are equally supportive.It never felt like I was working out, but rather it put me in the best shape of my life in spite of everything else that was going on.  I looked forward to each session.  Take an hour break from life and do something good for yourself.  You'll enjoy it here. Love Black Label!! the coaches really get to know you. They capitalize on your strengths and advise how to improve in other areas. The programming is great and you'll find a community of positive members who will encourage you to push through the workouts together. When I started with them, I couldn't do box jumps or jump rope and now it's easy like Sunday morning :) Never thought I could do half of what I am able to now. Q&A

I start with bodyweight on a lot of movements to assess your body awareness and go from there. We squat, deadlift, push ups, ring rows, rowing, jumprope, etc. A very wide variety of movements to keep the body changing and keeping your workouts interesting.

Discipline and finding ways to train that you enjoy!

Seeing peoples results and how it affects their confidence in all areas of life. As well as leading a higher quality of life because you have little to no physical limitations.

My clients and not answering to someone, when I know I can do a great job as my own boss.

You will see in your first session. I like and prefer people that want to work hard. As well as keeping a great attitude during your training. I am the same way as a coach so Id except the same from my clients and athletes!
