We used Bioscapes to install a rock path in our backyard. Pete responded quickly and showed up promptly to review the site. He provided detailed written estimates of the job and was competitive with other companies that we contacted. Bioscapes did an outstanding job installing our rockpath despite the rainy weather that caused the job to take longer to complete. They even came out and brushed and cleaned the mortar because it rained heavily after they finished the installation. We are so happy with the work on our backyard and driveway! BioScapes tore down and put up a brand new fence, poured a concrete patio, installed sod and beautiful garden beds, installed river rock and a flagstone walkway, as well as put in a new black-star gravel driveway that suites our home so well! After contacting and meeting with multiple companies we decided to move forward with Pete and BioScapes. He was able to understand our vision, worked within our budget, and ensured we knew exactly what materials would be used and how long the project would take. He also left us with a detailed written plan which was very helpful. Despite the non-stop rainy weather Pete continued to communicate with us and got his team in to work on any days they could to keep the project moving. The crew was kind, courteous, and worked hard to get the work done quickly with out sacrificing quality. The finished project blew us away and is even better than we envisioned. Our backyard was muddy, dirty, and a mosquito haven. It is now one of our favorite places to be! We are so thankful to have a beautiful space to hang out and can't wait for backyard BBQs. I called on a Friday morning for an estimate on a drive way extention, signed a contract that afternoon, and they begin the work the following Tuesday. I highly recommend Bioscapes. Pete and his team are everything you want in a contractor--skilled, professional, conscientious, communicative, timely, fast, reasonably-priced, and very pleasant. I had a plan designed for my front yard and just needed a landscaper to bring it to life. And that is exactly what Bioscapes did. Pete took the plan, incorporated my comments, and added his expertise to create me a beautiful front yard! It took Pete a couple of weeks to get me a quote since he is very busy, but once he was able to get me scheduled in, the job was completed very quickly. His team was always arrived on schedule, worked quickly and thoroughly, and left the work site in good condition. Pete was very responsive to my calls and texts and also provided me with excellent instructions on proper care of all of the plants when he was done. I have my whole backyard resurfaced, and Pete's costs were very reasonable. They did good, quick work. He re sodded, created new flower bed with edging, and resurfaced a patio area. Wow! That's the least I can say about our new paver patio. Pete did a great job with our project. We started out with a basic plan for a paver patio and to fix parts of our fence that were somehow still standing. Part of the yard we wanted to occupy is an odd shape so after some discussion between my wife and I and some helpful and valuable input from Pete, we ended up with an awesome outdoor living space. Bioscapes constructed our main paver patio space, large limestone slab stone with Colorado gravel, landscaping a beautiful garden with space to grow, stone work, AND fixed/constructed my fence. The entire process was simple. In our initial discussion, Pete broke down exactly how our project would be constructed. He was able to answer all our questions. Pete communicated any concerns or updates regularly. Plus we work from home few days a week so it was great to see the transformation and talk (bother , lol) Pete whenever we had additional questions. Bioscapes/Pete is a complete professional. He's very personable, easy to talk to and most importantly, he knows his stuff. I am so appreciative for Bioscapes work to make our idea come to life. BioScapes did a great job on my landscape project. I had Pete and his team place metal edging around by back yard, burry 70ft of French drain, lay 52 pavers, spread gravel, and pour a concrete porch. I had a clear plan for what I wanted to do, and I provided drawings to make sure my vision was communicated clearly. Pete followed my plans closely and communicated with me throughout the project to make sure we were on the same page, and to let me know of any potential changes.When I pointed out small details that weren't quite the way I wanted, Pete was happy to fix them to make sure I was satisfied with the project.The one piece of advice that I would give if you use BioScapes, or any other contractor, is to make sure you communicate every detail of what you imagine to make sure the project comes out the way you expect. I've worked with several landscaping companies over the years, BioScapes stood out among them. As soon as Pete came out to give us a bid, I knew this was the company we would be using. Out of over one dozen bids Pete was the only one who actually recommended multiple solutions based on the space, described the process for each, and left us with a detailed written plan. Once we got started, there were some delays due to unexpected weather changes. The communication was superb and I always knew the plan and what was going to happen next. I met Pete of Bioscapes while he was doing a job for neighbors and was impressed with his skill and HOW he worked...focused, tidy, etc. Hired him to install a walking path just outside my gate where the grass turns to a swamp after a good rain. We are getting ready to put our house on the market and desperately needed a landscaping overhaul on the front yard.  I met with Pete and explained our need and my "vision".  Pete was able to see my vision and advise what would look good and what wouldn't work - all w/in a limited budget.The transformation is unbelievable.  It hasn't been a week and I've already been told by different neighbors how good our yard looks!I'm blown away that Pete saw my vision and then surpassed it, and did the job in one day.Pete also replaced an 8 foot fence section in our backyard and then went above and beyond and fixed a few fallen down pickets on our neighbors fence that backs to our front yard to help with our "curb appeal".I will definitely be using Bioscapes for any future work on our new home! I could not be happier with Pete and his team.  As long as the money keeps flowing on my end, I will continue to have BioScapes do as much as possible with my old house in Hyde Park.  I've dealt with a lot of dishonest and incompetent construction services people here in Austin, so my BS detector is now always at high alert.  Pete has proven to me that honest, friendly, fair, and highly competent construction service people do exist in this town.  (I was spoiled in Chicago.)The first project Pete worked on was laying concrete to the entrance of my backyard, which was formerly dirt and rocks, and was just awful.  His workers did a perfect, timely, and reasonably priced job.  I then showed Pete a picture of a gorgeous two-door gate (again, for the entrance to my backyard).  Pete's construction skills are quite extensive, and though he'd never made such a door before, he made a precise replica of the door I showed him.  It is, bar none, GORGEOUS.I've now got other projects on my list.  I will have Pete replace a small section of my exterior siding because of some "old house"-related problems, and at some future date have him replace my entire fence (pretty extensive) in cedar.I've read the low-starred reviews and it's not at all the Pete I know.  He's majorly responsive and an extreme perfectionist (the latter quality of which aligns perfectly with  my own tendency towards extreme perfectionism). How these guys don't have more 5 stars is beyond me.  Pete and his staff are incredibly hard working. I've continued to use Bioscapes for both my personal property and my rental property.  They were consistent in the weekly care of my rental property while it was on the market to be sold and never did I have to worry about the curb appeal being less than perfect.  They also did some other landscaping improvements at that property when I was preparing to be listed.  Pete's team perfectly trimmed the two trees in the front, took out an over grown "shrub", planted some flowers and grasses, enlarged the back "stoop" into more of a "patio" and geve the entire LARGE yard a really good sprucing/cleaning up.  I was extremely pleased with the work completed for the price I paid - outstanding.For our personal property, I work with Pete periodically when it needs care that we just can't find the time to provide.  The ONLY complaint I've had (from my ultra particular partner) is that he needs to sharpen his blades and get use a mower with a bag (rather than a mulching mower).  The only reason this is a concern at our home is because we have Zorro Zoysia grass, which is "sensitive" and "fine blade" grass that doesn't like being crowded by clippings.  I would (and will) use Bioscapes Landscaping services in the future (and recommended them to the buyers of my rental house!)
