Absolutely breathtaking. This was the first of 4 venues I toured and immediately came back to and booked - no comparison to their obviously beautiful venue, friendly staff (a million thanks to Dana, Marion, and Kelly), and efficient and thoughtful layout (bridal and grooms suite just steps from the altar and another 20 and your in the reception hall! ) But don’t let the closeness fool you this place is HUGE!! Do you want to have the wedding of your dreams? Then look no further. Big Sky Barn made all our wildest dreams come true. To start off this is an incredibly beautiful venue, which honestly needs very little to shine . You can actually save a decent amount of budget by the fact that you don’t want to add a lot of distraction to this already elegant venue. We had some really bright floral arrangements and honestly that could have been enough. The colors and feeling of this building naturally make it feel like a home of celebration and joy. But let's be honest, a venue is nothing without a good staff. And boy does this place have an excellent one. Be prepared to feel like you have a bunch of best friends working your wedding. Kelly and her team are the nicest, sweetest people I know. They will go above and beyond to give you the best wedding possible, and will wow you at every turn. Very very popular venue for a wedding and it's absolutely perfect for one. Despite its name, it doesn't have too much of a "barn" feel to it. It's very beautiful inside and out and if taking pictures is important (probably is) then I'd recommend it. There's a back porch with a beautiful swing, there's a big wooden bridge, trees wrapped in lights, a trellis gazebo, etc. Inside the chapel (which you can decorate to whichever religion or none) there's a big glass wall perfect for a garland/rectangular arch way. It has plenty of seating (probably 200~) and is also where the bride and groom suites are (to get ready) and it's really cute! In the reception hall, there's lots of room to work with! A beautiful fireplace and mantel (that you can decorate), chandeliers, a bar and kitchen, etc. And the best thing about all of this is the people who run the venue. They were easy to work with and can recommend good people for the DJ, catering, photography, etc. So talk to them if you need to, they were happy to answer questions. Beautiful venue tucked away in the woods. I love the the Chapel because of the large window. Great landscaping with plenty of picture opportunities in front of the barn and chapel with a cement round about driveway. Plenty of parking on a gravel lot. Coming from the back parking lot there is a rustic walking bridge that would make a great picture. The barn has gorgeous textures, accompanied with beautiful chandeliers coming from a high pitched ceiling.... with an outside back balcony.... where the trees at the bottom are lit up nicely. Our wedding was absolutely remarkable! The venue was such a gorgeous backdrop for all of the decor and festivities. We wanted a venue with both indoor and outdoor attributes, which BSB definitely has!
The courtyard area was perfect for the cocktail hour and they even have a gorgeous pathway below the barn with festively lit trees lining it and an intimate gazebo area (great for pics and guests who want a little quiet). The chapel and reception barn are each beautiful in their own ways as well, and will definitely take your breath away! We received so many compliments from guests about our venue!
The bridal suite is to die for! Absolutely stunning and large enough for 12 girls and women to get ready in (would fit more).
We especially loved how wonderful the staff was. We worked specifically with Joanna, and she was a gem. She was easy to get a hold of and always tried to make room in case we wanted to swing by to take a look at things before the wedding. So pleased with everything! We had such an amazing time and memorable wedding with our families and friends!

Came here for a wedding last Sunday on Cinco de Mayo!!! The grounds were well kept and clean and the landscaping was pretty! You drive in and there's a small sign that directs you to the right for Big Sky Barn. There is someone outside directing you where to park - either in the small parking lot to the left or some spaces to the right. Ladies, there are a few rocks so be careful walking to the Chapel and the Big Barn with your heels! The Chapel was a decent size and you are met with amazing windows in the front that shows the green trees outside! Makes for an amazing backdrop to say your vows, though the lighting coming in may not be the best contrast for photos! I liked the beams and the rustic barn wood used to decorate the chapel - the only thing I saw wrong was the pews were not evenly spaced and you can move them back and forth so it may look a bit in disarray in photos. They should take the time to line them nicely prior to each event.The Big Barn was where the reception was next door. Fairly large, held a party of 100ish comfortably. The tables were decorated nicely with flowers and the combination of long wood tables and round white table clothes were a nice contrast from each other. I liked the beams and drapery but those light fixtures were fantastic - I was a huge fan of the chandeliers with the bird cages around them, added a bit of character to the space. The grounds between the chapel and the big barn was nice for cocktail hour - there were games, like cornhole, to keep the kids busy but they were mainly running around the large space. You can walk down the stairs to this gazebo covered in flowers, the trees were covered with twinkly white lights and there was a "little" (actually really steep) bridge below to take photos at. This makes for a really pretty outdoor space at night. You can look down from the large deck as well, and the deck has it's own wood burning fireplace as well as a chair swing. Definitely nice to be outside after dancing on a lovely Texas night.Overall, the venue was pretty and if you want the rustic barn feel, this is it! It's so close to Conroe though and the water, I wish there was some water views or even lodging on site for guests/wedding party. They have enough space for it.
