Well, we visited big D’s in Branson on Friday, 8 March in the evening and the mail. There were several of us and the mail that the wife and I had which was a brisket sandwich with about a half a handful of fries. The brisket had quite a bit of fat, it was very very salty and we didn’t have a beverage. We just had that sandwich and the fry the food was not hot. The brisket wasn’t that good and for the amount that they charge I would never go back. The staff was friendly and very outgoing but as far as going there and having a meal, I would not go back , a rating of one to five I would write them a one minus and I have heard from several people that the food there is not good but we all thought we would give it a try and we did and we were very disappointed More...

The best food that we ate in all of Branson. We’re from Texas so we are pretty picky on our BBQ, but this was fantastic.

Perfect!!! Do not hesitate to choose this place! I did because I was thinking it would be just another typical BBQ but this is the best BBQ I’ve had and the best coleslaw! And the beans are amazing and the potato salad and the peach pie is very good! The burnt tips melted in my mouth. I hesitated to give 5 stars only because they were out of macaroni because they were slammed (I came the weekend after Christmas and all restaurants were hit very hard) but i believe they put a lot of love into their food and it’s not like a fast food chain. I was really looking forward to the Mac but everything I got was amazing so I’m not mad at all! We got ours to go but the place looks awesome. This place is definitely 5 stars! The staff was very friendly and personable. More...

We are leaving happy and full! The restaurant is off the main tourist part of Branson so leave the traffic on the strip behind and get on the red route to D's. We had burnt ends, a brisket sandwich, okra, Mac n cheese and beans. We weren't in love with the beans, a little sweet and gloppy for us, but the okra was excellent, hot, fresh, big pieces. The Mac n cheese is a total winner, great cheesy flavor and those lovely li crunchy burny parts in with all that creamy yumminess. We enjoyed the BBQ too, the meat was tender and tasty sauce. The restaurant is clean, has plenty of seating with lots of room between tables, and the people are very friendly and helpful. Service was fast, and it's the style where you order at the counter and have a table number for them to bring the food to you. We will definitely be back on our next Branson trip, I can't wait to try the ribs and I swear, I can already hear the Mac n cheese calling my name. Update- we stopped in Saturday for lunch, hubs stuck to his favorite brisket sandwich and fries, I tried the ribs, which were very good, they're baby backs, I personally prefer St Louis style ribs, but they were good and sweet daughter-in-law polished off the ones I took home. The Mac n cheese and okra were still the stuff of dreams.... soooo good. Can't wait to go back to Branson for more Big D's food! More...

Big D, we got both the ham and turkey for Thanksgiving. We knew that ham would be awesome since we had ordered it before. Have to say though, the turkey was a wonderful surprise and the hit of the day and each day since! Delicious and moist! Thank you!

Fun little BBQ place to enjoy a quick meal before seeing the Oaks at The Mansion. Â The food was tasty - even if I was disappointed that they didn't have cole slaw available. Â To a coleslaw lover eating BBQ without coleslaw just isn't right. Â The beans and potato salad were good - and the pickled red onions on the side almost made up for the missing coleslaw. Almost. Â Very friendly people - and excellent service. More...

Everything was very good. Grandson had the brisket and it was melt in your mouth. Husband and I had pulled pork and there was so much we had to bring some home. It was very good also. Didn't really need the sauce as it was very tender and juicy. My husband enjoyed the beans and potato salad. Overall was a good pick. More...

My husband and I ate supper at Big D's BBQ tonight. We thought the food was delicious. My husband had a grilled boloney sandwich with baked beans. I had the pulled pork platter with the potato salad and coleslaw. We split a serving of a baked peach pie. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We ordered the food at the counter, and then the food was delivered to our table. The restaurant is very clean. The atmosphere of the restaurant looks like a nice country kitchen with distressed wooden tables and chairs. The tables and chairs are set up so that people can talk to one another -- a very comfortable setting. The employees are very friendly and helpful and look like they enjoy working there. They also take away your plates and trays and actually clean the tables without having to be asked. Other restaurants should take note of this. We definitely would come back again when we pass through Branson. More...

A bit out of the way on Shepherd of the Hills but worth staying off the Strip. We enjoyed the 2 meat combo with 2 sides. We ordered an extra side and split it between us. Good BBQ and sides. No alcohol yet but definitely worth checking into! More...
