We recently held our Christmas party for 80 people at Big Beach Café and I can’t recommend them highly enough – every aspect of it was superb and ran like a dream. From the first contact, Bob and the team looked after us in a super friendly and professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble! We were the first event there following on from their redecoration and I have to say, I was a fan of the venue before, but now it really looks super – particularly when set up for an evening event with a silver curtain pulled across the service area to create a glitzy dance floor! We were greeted by happy, helpful bar staff serving welcome drinks plus they ran a complicated double voucher system at our request (as we had a joint event with our sister company). We had a lovely buffet dinner which catered for vegetarians, vegans, people with nut allergies and gluten intolerances as well as meat lovers; we definitely put them through all their paces with all our differing dietary requirements and they rose admirably to the occasion with a completely seamless service! The tables were then cleared back to create a dance floor and our four-piece band (the very fabulous Dirty Weekend) launched into their first brilliant set. The venue was fantastic in having a slight division between the dance area and the bar area so people could switch between both dancing and chatting. The oysters were so fresh! The yellow tail was delicious, perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were unbelievable, the best I've ever had. My friend gad a cup of clam chowder and fish and chips. Shawna was our server and made for a terrific and enjoyable afternoon. She was so attentive and courteous. Jen was so nice also. Great little cafe at Hove Lagoon away from the chaos of busy Brighton. We took our two year old toddler here and she loved the little play kitchen inside, the playground and paddling pool outside and the bouncy castle and rides around the corner. Great place As a wheelchair user it’s great they have added recently an extra bit of rubber to the door to make it easier to get in It was super busy today (it was Lagoon fest) there wasn’t a long wait though for the food and the Vegan burger was great!

What an amazing cafe .. would recommend to anyone.. I’m a fussy vegan and absolutely love it here .. always get a good glass of melbec if I fancy it to . . since moving to Hove at the beginning of the year the gorgeous northern lass has always been consistently friendly and works so hard to make everything possible be the best experience for who ever she is serving .. amazing staff , great food .. Nice cafe, it looks a little run down and shabby but get beyond your preconceptions and the food and drinks are marvellous (if a little on the pricey side) but its right next to the fantastic mini playground that's perfect for the kids and enjoy a coffee at the same time.

I love this place. The staff are really wonderful. Helpful, charming, witty, wonderful to dogs. They make the Best Granola Cakes I’ve ever tasted. I can’t say enough about how amazing this place is ... what ever my mood I always feel better when I go here .. enough vegan snacks for me and amazing teas . . the best kombutcha ever and a lovely glass of melbec if I fancy it .. as a new resident to Hove the staff are so welcoming and so friendly and real it has made me feel at home and part of the community.Would totally recommend to anyone who wants great food and drink in a super cool atmosphere. and the art work is worth a look on its own .. loving the new work!!
