Beautiful classic hotel, elegant rooms, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Relax by the fountain in the tranquil garden of the courtyard, or swim in the warm salty pool. Breakfast is tasty enough, and the host and hostess are most accommodating and kind hearted. We loved this place. More...

Watch out for the super strong drinks they will put u under! Restaurant is Caribbean themed. Didn’t eat there due to that. But I love love love this Hotel. Everything was great...except the fee for parking. I felt that was really too high.

Middle of French Quarter, easy access to streetcars and other neighborhoods- yet cozy and quiet. Lovely room, beautiful linens and bathroom, quiet climate controls. Pack a swimsuit for warm saltwater pool- a nice surprise. Not so charming: sound travels between rooms and floors; one elevator only and tiny (we used stairs a lot); included breakfast seems almost purposely bad.Service friendly but mediocre (misinformation and shrugs) could ask for more in so small a hotel. The rooms and Staff are awesome and a beautiful Motel, my wife and i had an excellent time in New Orleans, When we got to the Motel we were told that for our dog to stay there( T. A states PET FRIENDLY) would be a non refundable deposit(?) of $100.00 plus $25.00 for the dog to stay. The parking under the Motel States; Guest parking and that was another 40.00. Not the Hotels fault but when it says PET FRIENDLY on TRIP Adviser with nothing about this on the site unless i did not research properly, it looks like there would be something on the page stating that amount. We still love our New Orleans though ! The first time I stayed at this hotel was in 1976. It was wonderful then. I have gone back to stay there several times over the years. The last time was last week. They have remodeled (again) and it continues to be a beautiful, comfortable hotel. The location is perfect -- close to all the action but a less noisy distance away. The staff is cordial and helpful at all hours. The rooms are lovely and relaxing. It is the perfect place to stay. More...

This was a great value...got a good price week after Thanksgiving. We loved the location! Not too close to Bourbon st..but close enough. Nice to be on Decatur with short walk for fresh beignets! My husband and I had such a nice stay at this hotel over Thanksgiving! Our taxi was met by the bellhop, which is always such a nice touch, and the hotel was decorated for Christmas and just felt so warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the rooms were just lovely. Great location - right in the middle of where you want to be, but none of the loud street noise you might expect. I have already recommended this hotel to our friends. More...

The Bienville House was in the heart of the French Quarter, but away from the busy streets of Bourbon and Royal. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The outside roof patio was perfect for my husband who enjoys a cigar then and again. The bathroom was a lot smaller than the one in our friends room, but wasn't uncomfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the courtyard was a very pleasant place to eat and start our day. Since the hotel is close to the river and railroad tracks, we did get some noise from trains and riverboats, but it was temporary and didn't happen often. All and all, it was a very nice place to stay. More...

This place was super cute and comfy. The staff could have not been any nicer every single one of them (except breakfast attendant). The location was amazing easy walks to everything. Only complaint was room was a little hot bc air was not working that well and elevator broke the day of checkout so we had to take stairs. Also breakfast was just basic so I’d say skep and go eat at one of the many great breakfast places that Nola offers. Other than that the place is nice and we would stay again. More...

My bf and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel! We were there celebrating my birthday and this was a perfect place to be! It has a great location!! All the staff were very nice and the hotel is very pretty!! Our room had a balcony facing the street, which made for great people watching (rm.215)! The room was so pretty and the bed was super comfy!! The bathroom was really nice with good bath products!! Two things to keep in mind: the doors to the bathroom are louvered so not very private, but was fine for my bf & I, and the bed is quite tall...so not sure if all the beds are tall or not. I'm 5'6 and I had to pull myself up a little bit to get in bed. Both didnt bother me, just wanted to mention them! Latitude 29 has a cozy atmosphere and yummy drinks! My bf loved his Mai Tais and I loved The Banshee! The bartenders are wonderful and care about the drinks there making and the presntation!!! There is a small pool in the courtyard that was heated, which I thought was a very nice feature! All in all a lovely stay!!!|||| More...

My wife and I spent four nights/five days at the Bienville House Hotel. The hotel and their staff helped to make our stay a very pleasant and memorable experience. The location of the hotel at the southern end of the French Quarter was extremely convenient, yet far enough away from Bourbon St. so we were able to get a good night’s rest. We would definitely consider staying here again. Thank You! More...

We really enjoyed our stay at Bienville House! Its clean, centrally located, and has excellent service. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel amenities are lavish. The breakfast was just OK, but lovely that it was included if you want to grab a quick bite. (However, its confusing to have an attendant working breakfast who steps in front of you in exasperation if you try to pour your own coffee -- maybe some signage if coffee is staffed and you shouldnt fix your own?) My only suggestion would be to consider new, quieter doors for the in-room bathrooms. The current doors require slamming to shut completely, and theyre quite loud. I heard a few slamming bathroom doors over the course of the night, but nothing major! Definitely wouldnt keep me from staying here again -- just some feedback. Definitely consider Bienville House for your next visit to NOLA! More...

Looked for a place near the French Quarter, but with some history and style - and affordable at the last minute. Bienville House is beautiful and perfectly located, the staff very nice and helpful, the room spacious and the bathroom all spotless marble. We were able to walk everywhere (except to the Garden District): Cafe' DuMonde, French Q., Frenchman Street (THAT's where you go to find jazz now!), Jackson Sq., St. Louis Cemetery no. 1., Preservation Hall, the French Market, and the Mississippi River. I never managed to get up for breakfast, but my partner did and there's a nice salt water pool for a swim or to just sit beside. Usually very quiet: within minutes of checking in, a parade passed below our window. Did hear trains at night, but no biggie being so tired after a full day walking, eating, drinking and dancing! Thank you, Bienville House! More...

We stayed in the king deluxe room with a balcony and were blown away by the beautiful, spacious room and high ceilings and the gorgeous remodeled bathroom. The shower was amazing and bed was so comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located for easy walking distance to most of the French Quarter, but is nestled in a quieter and safe-feeling spot. The balcony was beautiful and we had coffee there every morning overlooking the street. The staff was beyond friendly (especially Cynthia!) and made us feel welcome and taken care of. Excellent staff. My initial room had no window. That just would not due with my claustrophobia, so they found a room with a window for me. Beware some rooms lack a window. Breakfast was a sad affair (skip it). Staff was just so helpful I gave them the 4th star on an otherwise 3 star property. Also beware that the cab they called for me did not turn on their meter (shady). I'd suggest Uber in NOLA for this exact reason. NOLA can be shady enough without that nonsense. More...

Wow! We loved our stay here. Our King Deluxe with Balcony was gorgeous. The bed and pillows were so comfy. The balcony was huge and we spent every morning sipping coffee there and nights looking over the street. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was incredible! The hotel is located on a quieter portion of Decatur Street which is great for a little retreat after the business of the rest of the French Quarter. The staff was unbelievably sweet and made our stay so special. Cynthia in particular was so kind and truly looked out for us. The hotel itself is beautiful and the courtyard is spectacular even though it was a bit too chilly to spend much time out there. The room got a bit chilly because of an unexpected dip in temperature during our visit (we got a bit of a draft from high winds through the balcony doors) but it was still well heated and we were cozy in bed at night. Noise from the street and hallway was easily drowned out with a phone white noise maker. More...
