Starting to train with Bill was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I have always struggled to find a work out that I can consistently keep up with and not loose interest in. Once I started working out with Bill my motivation and drive grew and I look forward to our works outs! Also the way I feel and the changes I have seen in that past few months, are more then I have experienced at another other gym or trainer. Bill is awesome and I recommend him to anyone who is serious about getting in shape! More...

I had worked with Bill before and knew that he needed to be my first email when I decided to re-focus on my health goals. I've worked with a few good trainers able to motivate and support me . But Bill is flat out amazing to work with. He can play the bad guy (I asked him to!) I need to get results, work around injuries, switch routines up to keep you engaged and fresh.Bill boxes and has adapted to make sure we don't aggravate a back injury, but I'm still getting all sorts of good soreness the next day. He's motivating, encouraging, and awesome to work with. He pushes me further than I want to go, but knows just when to back off. I always feel tired but energized after our workouts. Talk to him about your goals - I'm sure he'll be able to help you get there! More...

When I first met Bill, I was worried he was going to be like every other trainer...spending most of their time looking at their phone, "pushing exercises" on me that I couldn't do, and spending more time showing me how strong they were. He was quite the opposite. Bill took the time to evaluate my strengths and deficiencies. He tailored a program that would target important areas, for me it was flexibility; but also took into consideration my goals i.e. strength training and weight loss. His understanding of exercise physiology is top notch, and he could always answer my "why are we doing this" type of questions. I was most impressed with how he could change/adapt the routine on the drop of a dime in times of where I injured myself, or found I couldn't do the exercise he was asking. He is patient, knowledgeable, courteous and truly committed to helping one achieve their goals. He's a genuine guy without ego and arrogance. He is organized, professional and is ALWAYS on time. Its for this reason, I have been working with Bill for over 1 year. I have seen results and gains in all areas; and most importantly, I feel better about myself.I always joke that I "hate Bill before each session; but by the end of it I've never felt better". His approach is sound, his technique is on point, his knowledge is vast; and is experience is obvious. I couldn't give a higher recommendation for a personal trainer, or fitness consultant. More...

At first I was skeptical like most people in my field. I am a busy doctor but I have struggled with high cholesterol and being slightly overweight almost my entire adult life. I always wanted to be more slim, toned, and maybe even buff. I found out about Bill through Facebook and I knew I had to make a change. Once I started doing the workouts (they kicked my ass!) they were actually fun and most importantly, they are brief and made for busy people like me! I was actually looking forward to going to the gym, and I missed it on my off days. I always thought that you had to spend hours in the gym, but after Bill's workouts I feel good and my whole body is sore. I started out at 200 lbs and size 35 inch waist, but now I am down to 194 lbs and size 32-33 inch waist. I have more energy and I am sleeping much better. I have also modified my diet significantly through Bill's advice, and making better decisions. Once I realized how easy it was to track my calories and my daily intake, it was easy to make the necessary changes. So to all those busy professionals like me, give it a try! You'll be glad you did. I certainly am! More...

Bill is a talented trainer. I've worked with a few in the past, and his level of enthusiasm and workout customization based on individual goals is unparalleled. The convenience factor is huge- I work 60+ hours per week and he's able to meet me at home in the South End early in the morning and get me moving...it's always a great start to the day. In addition, his rates are extremely reasonable for the level of service provided. Would recommend Bill to anyone! More...

I started off going to various gyms and trying various programs. Some of them worked, but they were so expensive and I was so busy, it just didn’t make sense to continue. Recently, I was looking at my options. I knew I was gaining weight because of my terrible diet and lack of activity. I needed someone to give me some pointers and kick my butt to get me going. I was browsing online and I saw an advertisement for busy medical professionals that were looking to lose weight. The description of what Bill was looking for, fit me to a T, and I was immediately interested. I submitted all my information and goals to Bill. Within a day, Bill contacted me and he told me what to expect. I downloaded the free apps as requested and he built a template for me to follow relative to my weight and goals. Bill built the program around my needs and I was able to stay true to the exercises and the calorie counting app that Bill monitors thoroughly to make sure you are on track. I doubted his program at first. He said as long as I kept track of my calories, made an effort to eat suggested daily amounts of macro nutrients, and perform the exercises that he assigned, that he had no doubt I would lose weight. Well, low and behold, I made some adjustments to my diet and activity. Instead of trying to go to the gym at night when everyone and their mother is there, I went first thing at 6AM when it was not so busy. I cut out the dinner rolls and soda, substituted a salad instead of chips for lunch, and stopped eating after 9PM. If I got hungry, I just drank water. These substitutions and small changes were not hard to make and I was able to go from 249 pounds to 237 in five weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m certainly not finished. In fact I have a lot more work to do, but it’s great to know that little changes that are doable and make a huge difference knowing losing weight is possible. I definitely feel stronger, my activity tolerance is improving, and I feel healthier! I would recommend Bill to anyone, medical staff or office worker. Sometime all you need is a little support and direction. Bill was great. He would contact me if he thought I wasn’t on top of things whether logging in my calories on a certain day or following his workouts throughout the week. He gave me exactly what I needed, motivation and direction. I am looking forward to the next 5 weeks! Do yourself a favor, give Bill a shot, you won’t regret it! More...

An active and healthy lifestyle that includes sustaining a fitness routine is important to me. I know I wouldn’t be successful achieving and maintaining my goals alone. I don’t want to think about planning a routine, which exercises to do, what order to do them, how many reps, proper form, etc., Bill does all that for me and I provide the sweat equity. It’s been a good investment, for two years now Bill has been showing up at my door for our work out three times a week with a smile, a plan, his knowledge, expertise and a commitment to helping me feel good about myself. We've been training with Bill for a few months now, and the results are impressive. Bill uses his depth of knowledge in anatomy and physiology to develop a plan that is tailored to our goals. He is reliable, personable and laser-focused on results. If you're looking for a personal trainer who will take the time to understand your goals and develop a plan to help you reach them, BFit Health and Fitness is the right place for you. More...

Q&As

Winter Break Freshman Year of college and I’m visiting my girlfriend at the time who was living in NYC.

Now by this point I’ve put on 40 pounds since September. In that first semester I managed to binge eat at the college dining hall, get takeout every day, then drink almost every single night.

What happened?

Well I ended up lose the 40 pounds but did everything wrong in the process to get there. Struggling for a year to lose the weight.

I ended up going back to school for personal training to learn and help people lose weight and get back in shape properly. Instead of having to workout all the time or starve the self into losing weight.
