For over 2 years we struggled with an incorrect tax bill from the IRS. We brought the problem to BF Borgers, showed them why we felt the bill was incorrect and they took over the process from there. This week we got a letter from the IRS saying that our issue from Dec of 204 has been corrected, penalty reversed and file closed! I wish we had worked with BF Borgers in 2014. He's helped me with two state returns from my move and job change, given me advice on LLC and business matters, put me in touch with financial/retirement advisors, processed my returns for my home office, and I'm going back this year now that I've bought a house. My husband and I launched a business last year and needed a good accountant. We did a search for accountants on yelp and didn't find any glowing reviews, but we did find a service we could use to write what we were looking for and then we'd get emails back from accountants who fit the bill. Ben Borgers wrote back to us very promptly. On a Saturday. He said he liked to work with small businesses and he would even waive his fee on the first office visit so we could see how he works. Ben's thorough and all of the things you hope an Accountant is -- he sent us this Excel sheet for us to itemize our expenses that has kind of changed my world. And he's definitely gone above and beyond. Also, he doesn't make you feel small for asking questions you're embarrassed about asking, which we really appreciate. In our books, Ben's the tops. More...
