Bex is a fantastic tutor and academic support worker for students with dyslexia/similar issues. She supported me through my PhD when I was struggling with writing a long document, time management and organisation. She was excellent and I’m not sure I would have finished without her! Highly recommended as a tutor and academic support worker. More...

She has really helped me to get through my English exams. The extra tuition that she has taught me has given me the confidence to believe in myself and to not give up.

Throughout the coaching sessions I had with Bex, I felt really listened to and heard, which is a departure from my daily life. Bex helped me identify different ways of thinking and acknowledging my achievements and how I relate to others. Bex is a really caring life coach and used her professionalism and empathetic nature to gain my trust as I felt she was totally supportive of my vision for life. I highly recommend Bex, if you are looking for a life coach as her skills are far reaching and her ability to recognise my unspoken words in our sessions spoke to my heart as she helped me fond healing in many levels. Thanks again More...

Bex is a skilled and insightful life coach. She used a combination of open questioning and values-based exercises which helped me clarify where I was at and what I wanted to work on, leading me to make positive changes I wanted to make in my career that would otherwise have taken me much longer or not happened at all! Even after 2 sessions, I was left with clarity of thought and purpose that benefited my life and gave me confidence. More...

Learning Portuguese with Bex is brilliant. In only 3 sessions I have learned so much and my confidence has really grown. Bex has done a lot of travelling as well, so it's really nice to learn from someone who has been immersed in different cultures. I really enjoy my lessons with Bex and would highly recommend her as a languages tutor! More...

Q&As

I love helping other people and seeing them do well. It is great seeing other people succeed!

Global warming, human mental illness and loss of animal habitat seem to be topics that appear frequently in the news and in day-to-day conversation. How can we take lessons from these urgent and serious issues into our personal and spiritual lives? How can we live in the modern world in a more authentic, peaceful and sustainable way, in line with nature? Why do so many of us seem to be suffering from burn out or mental illness? These are questions that come up a lot in my conversations with people in both my personal and professional life.

I realised that this need to connect back to some of the ‘old ways’, in line with Mother Nature, is a big and necessary part of self-development, career satisfaction, interpersonal relationships and our health and wellbeing. So I started to explore ways to combine the approaches and principles from permaculture, mindfulness, existentialism and earth-based spirituality with my coaching practice.

Services

My teaching style is to ask students questions to see if they know the answers. I then give them strategies to try to work out the answers and guide them to think for themselves to become independent learners. With the introduction of the new GCSE, being able to think for yourself and develop critical thinking skills early is a real advantage. This is something I offer students in addition to the lessons they get in school.

I have trained with Animas School of Coaching and hold an accredited diploma in Transformational Coaching. I also hold Animas School of Coaching CPD certificates in Group Coaching and Existential Coaching. All of these qualifications are recognised by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
