The general consensus in London is that property solicitors are like plumbers - there are no good ones. However, during the sale of my house Shirley O'Neil turned out to be a solid exception to the above statement. The service was professional and responsive. I was stuck in a chain transaction and had to deal with terrible solicitors on the other side. Shirley was the quickest and most efficient of the solicitors involved. I could see how having a good representation sped up the whole process- from dealing with inquiries and searches all the way to the exchange and completion. 100% would use their services again.After getting several quotes we decided to use BM as they were local to the area we were purchasing our first property. The whole process was much less stressful than I imagined, even though the purchase was not straight forward.Louise was great - when issues arose with linking up government buying schemes with the property and the seller's solicitor were dragging their feet Louise sorted it out like a BOSS.In short, we found cheaper services online (as with everything) but for the relatively small amount more to use a local conveyancer it was worth going to Beverly Morris. We used Beverley Morris for conveyancing services for the sale and purchase of properties. Shirley O’Neill and her team provided an excellent service; knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Shirley was recommended to us by a local estate agent and we have been delighted with the service provided; it has taken a lot of stress out of our house move! Response times have been swift and Shirley has been extremely supportive throughout a protracted sale and purchase. She was meticulous and determined in dealings with our sellers’ agents and was able to facilitate a quick completion on our final purchase. We were kept informed at every step and guided through the whole process. We liked the insurance option to cover fees in the event of a sale/ purchase not completing ( which we used when our initial purchase fell through), and being able to register for Land Registry alerts and make a will within the same process.
