About

Beginning a journey towards mental well-being can be daunting, especially with so many therapists claiming to offer the "latest techniques." However, only a handful of therapists truly possess the combination of experience, depth of understanding, and empathy to provide a tailored approach beyond just methods.

I couldn't recommend enough. My whole mental well-being has been changed for the better. I am calmer more settled and overall happier with my life. John was beyond professional and supportive throughout, his knowledge and expertise shines through on first encounter. Anyone wanting to make positive changes should look no further, I have recommend better than hypnosis to many close friends/relatives and will continue to do so. More...

My daughter in law recommended John to me and it turned out to be the best gift I’ve ever received! After years in the caring profession and bringing up a family, divorce, financial struggles, grief, illness all the many life events and challenges we all can face, the time to sit with a man like John and make some sort of sense of it all was precious to me. I valued his calming patience and skills and obvious expertise and professionalism which made me feel safe and I therefore trusted his ability to help me through the confusion of my mixed emotions and negative thinking. I believe for every gift received it’s kind to pass one on so I’m writing these words in the Hope just one person at least will read and find the strength and courage to contact John and find solace, peace and ways of moving forward in their life happier and encouraged and valuing them self. I've tried out 3 therapists, and John is 100% the best by far !! Genuinely cares for your mental health, and not just your money ! ! I travel by car on a 1 hour and 45 minutes journey, as I won't go elsewhere. This man saves your life, he did me. Through every individual and different problem I've had, he has always helped, even if it's just wanting to be more successful !! You don't need a doctor to help you, you need John !! Can't thank him enough. More...

Went to see John yesterday after 2 years of not walking properly and putting pressure on my right knee after two oops I knew it was a mental barrier stopping me doing so. Spoke to John weeks ago about this and my appointment yesterday came and after a hour or so finished doing what seemed like just general chat I walked away after my appointment walking equal on both knees. I know this seems strange but it was myself stopping me from doing it but with johns ways he helped my break down the barrier to have faith that my knee can cope with the situation. My knee still needs strengthening but this is a huge help along the way to getting back to normal. Thanks a lot John I owe you one. More...

I used this service for hypnotherapy. John is a lovely individual who helped me over come my fear of bees and wasps. I've got a little boy (almost 2) who points everywhere and shouts 'BEE! ' I don't run in blind panic anymore. I used to dread going out without full clothes on incase I got stung and couldn't walk anywhere without headphones in. I couldn't have the windows open and wouldn't dream of going for an outdoor picnic.

Fast forward a few months, I've been gardening, outdoor picnics, beer garden etc. We went on holiday to Cornwall and my partner was shocked that I had a bee flying around me whilst sunbathing and didn't panic. My mum can't believe I'll sit outside now at BBQs and my mother in law said to me the other day "Abel is looking at a sleeping bee over there but I told him you won't like it". I went over and bent down so close to the flower that I could see it's legs working hard to collect pollen. I was explaining to Abel what it was doing and said bees are cute and fuzzy but they are very busy and not to disturb.

Don't get me wrong I still hate wasps! I had one inside my window but managed to get it out with some paper. I went shopping with my best friend the other day and a wasp was flying around our pushchairs because the kids had sweets. She was flapping (she used to laugh at me!) and I just carried on walking.

It's changed my life and I was one of those people that didn't believe in this type of therapy and believed my fear was too bad to resolve.

I can happily be in a car with the windows down now, wear perfume out and even go and do the food shop without my headphones. My son loves the chats we have about all the things we see when we're walking.

Thankyou so much!

Q&As

There is always a satisfying feel in helping people overcome some difficulty, or find choice where it may of been difficult to see any before.

The lack of real help available. Unfortunately, the NHS has been underfunding for so long that they can not offer the level of service we can. It might save time to realise that the NHS's intention is to simply "contain" people's problems NOT to offer real help. Better than hypnosis intention is to offer genuine help to overcome a situation or problem.

Because of our experience, we are able to offer more.
And because we have such experience with so many different approaches we can adapt more easily, and more effectively to each client and their unique requirements.

"Quite simply put, there are some solutions (the most useful ones) which can only be seen through experience"
john naylor.

We offer an entail online consultation. but we do not offer online therapy. (I do not believe it works effectively)

Services

A safe place to be heard and understood.
The counselling service we offer is an opportunity to express how you think and feel, free from judgment.
It's a way of making sense of how you might be feeling, Which can help you find your way.

CBT has a broad range of applications, such as overcoming anxiety and making clear decisions, it is a good tool to apply to general problems. Using CBT it is possible to identify an area that may need attention, something that otherwise may have gone overlooked, but with attention and practice might make all the difference

Hypnotherapy is a difficult tool to make sense of.
This is why it has been seen as mysterious. One way to begin to understand how hypnotherapy works is to recognise we don't just make "conscious decisions" we also have instincts, intuitions and feelings which influence our thinking if you have ever "just had a feeling about something" and released how influential it was on what you did, or do? So hypnotherapy works on an intuitive level, with our instincts and feelings.

Mindfulness (therapy) is a general approach. It helps to change our mindset, not to overcome a specific problem. It offers an opportunity to create a more general good feeling, and a sense of feeling freer, which helps us realize more things are possible.
