We got our windows done this year and our experience working with John (owner) and Steve (installer) was awesome! John is a no-nonsense guy, he was very cognizant about not wasting either of our time. He was straight and upfront about everything regarding the project. His very helpful office staff helped us prepare the papers to get the HOA approvals. When the windows were ready, Steve and his crew came in, got to work immediately and finished the job. They knew what they were doing and required absolutely no oversight. The crew even moved the furniture they needed to move to get access to the windows. They finished the job and cleaned up EVERYTHING after they had finished the project. John and his team were great! John was efficient with the initial sale and didn't try to make a whole evening of chit chat like his Feldco competitors. He also went over all esthetic options and gave sound recommendations. Day of installation his team was punctual and left no trace. Good company. John is a straight shooter who knows his business and will give you his honest opinion if you ask him for it. He does not negotiate his prices, but I firmly believe that is because he is offering the best price he can that will make him a profit while still giving you a good deal. We are very happy with the Kensington windows! They are beautiful and appear to be very energy efficient, which I'm sure we will discover even more in the fall. The only thing I would caution to be aware of is how much glass you area you lose, especially with casements. I was surprised by this, although I do not think that is exclusive to Kensington windows, I think that's the case with all replacement windows. Otherwise they look very nice. I unfortunately live in a subdivision where the home builder/developer put in bad windows. The houses are about 14 years old, and you would think that houses that start at $400K would have decent windows. But they don't. Like most of my neighbors I needed to replace all of my windows, I think the final count was 22 windows, and a patio door. I did on-line research, and talked to many friends who had window work on their homes, and one (an interior designer with years of experience managing construction/decorating projects all across the country) highly recommended Best Windows. Well, the job is done, and we could not be more pleased. Everything was efficiently and properly done and the price was much lower than what my neighbors said they were quoted from other companies.. The quality of the windows are great -- they even drastically cut down on the noise we used hear from the expressway about a 1/4 mile away. The crew was highly experienced and worked extremely hard, and left the house clean, inside and out. John obviously takes great pride in the quality of the work his company does, and takes pride in his approach -- no high pressure sales talk, and no BS -- just an knowledgeable helpful guy. Where do I begin with my review. First and foremost, John is probably the best/nicest guy I have ever dealt with during any of my home improvements. Yes, having a job that ran into issues did irritate me, but he has been nothing short of amazing, and I truly mean that. From the moment we called to get a quote, to him allowing us to visit a home to see and operate the patio doors. No matter what my question or concern has been, he has ALWAYS responded to me within hours.

As everyone knows when you do any home project, many unforeseen circumstances can arise. The real test of any company is how do they respond once issues do arise. During my install of 2 patio doors, some issues arose from the installation and some from a couple defects from the manufacturer. John came to my home to inspect the jobs, kept me up to date with open dialogue, answered all my numerous emails and explained things/choices so I understood why certain materials were used to ensure I was satisfied. Many things were completely out of his control, yet he never shifted the blame, never avoided me or tried to make any excuses. His only response was that he will get everything fixed and I will be completely satisfied.

I have already recommended Best Windows to all of my friends, family and coworkers. If a company stands behind their work and their product like John has, there is no reason to ever look anywhere else. Most positive reviews online are from jobs where everything went as planned. I feel as though this positive review should be worth more due to the fact that when things went wrong, it was so easy to work with John to ensure everything was corrected. More...

John at Best Windows was a pleasure to work with and gave me the best price, product, and customer service I could ask for. I recently purchased an older condo that needed all of its windows replaced. John was able to come out and provide a fast quote that beat out other vendors. In addition to that, the windows that he quoted were of higher quality and have much longer warranty than everything else I was quoted. We had already selected a competitor for our windows but had not sealed the deal based on the timing they had offered for installation. Not only did the other company give us an install date of 12 weeks out but that would have put our install in December. Because of this we were planning on waiting until February to make the purchase and get the work done in the May/June timeframe. After getting calls every few days from the other company and then being threatened about how much the price we were quoted would likely go up if we wait to book the order, we decided to look elsewhere and found John at Best Windows Inc. Loved everything about our interaction with John, he was pleasant and personable and had a zero pressure approach from the start. We told him what we had lined up with the competitor and never once did he bad mouth them but unlike them he explained that the 12 week time frame was primarily due to our 1 custom order architectural window and suggested we just have that one installed after winter and he could get all the other ones done within 6 weeks. Then he gave us our quote which was quite a bit lower than the competitor which John attributed to not having a store location to have to pay for! I'll start my review by saying I used this company at the beginning of 2015. I've been referring them ever since, and my friends/family that have used them have nothing but good things to say as well! They were prompt, and the prices are very fair. The day of installation my newborn needed emergent medical care. I told the installers that we needed to leave, and we contacted John to let him know nobody was going to be home during the installation. So why am I including this in my review? Because there are not many companies out there that would clean up their mess after the installation is complete, close up your home, and then follow up with you later to make sure everyone is okay. We had a wonderful experience with John and Best Windows; efficient, affordable and professional! Best replaced all of our windows and replaced the picture window with a bow window (which we LOVE) for thousands less than a larger company wanted to simply replace our windows without the bow window upgrade. Windows are excellent quality, we hear nothing outside of the home with the windows closed, I know our heating bill will be more to my liking this winter! John and his crew are the greatest. We called him to get a quote to replace our old, ratty basement windows and he came as promised. He was very knowledgeable about what windows could be provided and the positives and negatives of each variety. His quote ended up being more than we had originally indented on spending but it was worth it. We knew that we were getting quality windows that would last for decades to come and were being installed by professionals. Yes, we could’ve gone to Lowes and bought a window for half the price and fumbled our way through installation but the quality would not have even come close. The whole process went very smoothly. John came out when scheduled to give the initial bid. A few weeks later I contacted him with some changes which he rebid quickly. When I gave him a verbal acceptance of the contract he came out with his installer and did the final measurement and had me sign the contract and give him the down payment. He told me that the factory would take about five (5) weeks to build the windows. Five weeks later John called to say the windows were in and he could install them as soon as I was ready. Two days later three trucks and five men arrived to do the job. They moved with almost military precision with each man preforming his job.By the end of the day all ten windows were installed and the inside and outside cleaned up such that you would never know any work was done. Because of rain starting in the afternoon, one man had to come back the next morning to finish the exterior trim and caulking on five of the windows.John runs a very honest company. No bs about having to have "both" homeowners at the initial presentation or any special "today only" pricing like one of the companies I called.I did get four bids and it came down John and another well rated company. The windows are great, and while I was cleaning one the other week, I bumped it off its track. I live in a city 3rd floor walk up and needed 9 6x4ft windows. Not knowing anything about windows I interviewed 5 companies taking note of the NFRC ratings, installation process, cost, warranty and various review message boards. In addition, I also took into account my perception of the sales person and whether they seemed honest and knowledgable. The only concern I had was John seemed a bit flakey but after compiling all the data, I decided to go with Best Windows. My prior windows were aluminum and so during the winter I kept by thermostat at 72/73 degrees and typically stayed away from the drafty windows. Since my new windows have been installed I have not had to raise my thermostat higher then 70 degrees and I no longer feel the cold air through my windows! I was too lazy to create new review, so i just copied my most recent review from Yelp.We are currently doing complete renovation on our home in Elmhurst IL, and we were in dire need of new windows for our new home. The windows from 1972 were not cutting it any longer. Services:We have had several estimates, but John had come in with best presentation about his product, there was not one question that he could not answer or did not know about the product we were discussing. John did not rush his 1st appointment and has taken extra time to listen to our needs and ideas. Pricing:John's pricing is extremely competitive for the windows we have picked out. We have decided to got with his Double Hung Kingston which are very good quality windows and price is just right. John does offer Double Hung Huntington, and Double Hung Hallmark, but we have decided to go with Kingston and it was the right choice.Quality of work/product:We had 16 new windows installed and additional 7 capped. It was done in under 2 days of work, and the results are GREAT! No trash was left behind, and once again the end result is great. Our home is still under construction, but we can already feel big difference as far as the heat. Entire house is significantly warmer considering that there is still drywall to be put up and flooring.Summary:If you want good quality windows, that are priced just right and that will be installed in timely manner, then I would recommend John's Best Windows in a heartbeat. I needed to replacing all 9 of the basement windows in my house. These are the original, single pane, metal frame windows from when the house was built in the late 1940s. In winter the basement was uninhabitable from mid-November to May. This was not working for me as I need some extra room for my hobby stuff. I had a prior estimate from an intense in home sales presentation from another company, but it was just too much (I think the adjective I used when talking to a friend later was "astronomical"). So when I contacted John, I was thinking I would have to settle on using glass blocks and dealing with whatever level of insulation they provided. It turns out that getting Kingston double hung windows everywhere (except for the dryer vent outlet) was about the same cost with a much better insulation value. The entire process was smooth. The windows arrived earlier than planned from the factory but there was no pressure to reschedule, I did so because it worked for me. The installers arrived at 9:30 am and were gone by 2:30 pm and left barely a trace of their presence. The only slightly confusing thing was that the person who came to actually look at the existing windows and measure them for the order was not part of the crew that came to install them. But it did not matter a bit. So for the first time in 15 years I was able to spend some time in the basement setting up work areas for my hobbies this Winter. I'm looking forward to a smooth project when use this company to replace the rest of the windows in the near future. More...

We went into our search knowing that we could not afford to do all our windows at once and would need to space out two or three installations over 1-2 years. Other companies we looked into were higher priced, couldn't guarantee our price past the first installation, and the other representatives weren't really sure about answers to some of our questions. We replaced all of the windows in our house with Best Windows and are completely happy with them. It was so refreshing to deal with John and his no-nonsense sales presentation. In the past, we had gotten quotes from other window companies that were high pressure to sign the contract the same day and astronomical prices. We had seen reviews on Angie's List for Best Windows so we decided to call them. John, the owner, answered the phone when I called and gave a brief overview of the windows and explained the prices. They came in with the best price right from the start. No pressure sales, just straight talk and confidence in their product. The decision was easy, and we even went with a different color than I was thinking with surprising results. Installers were on time, hard working, professional and extremely good at what they do. They handled a custom window opening easily with beautiful, sturdy results. When they were gone everything was clean like they'd never been there. End result is just fantastic. These guys are top notch! Low pressure sales pitch no' "We have this but you really need this upgrade." Here is my price call around and you will find it is comparable. It Was. 8 double hung windows were installed in 4 hours and there was no sign the installers were even here. I did not replace to newer climate guard windows that were already in the house because they are good but am mad I didn't because the way the new windows were installed make the climate guards look crappy.
