We attended our friend’s wedding here on 13th October. We also booked a room for the night.
The wedding room was lovely, then the wedding meal for 100+ guests went very smoothly.
The waiting on staff were lovely. The whole day was topped off with a fab evening.
The food was good and breakfast the next morning was good.
The room was clean and comfortable.
All the staff from check in to cleaners were helpful, polite and friendly.
Thank you for a great day and night

Rooms are of a good standard & maintained well, with a large double, 2 seater settee & more like a suite. breakfast is reasonable & buffet style with good service.
Hot water, umm! Although the bathroom has a bath it's unlikely that you'd have one unless you like a luke warm one! The shower is hot though.
To summarise, I would definitely recommend this hotel & would stay again..

Event at Smokies to celebrate my father 70th surprise birthday was absolutely brilliant. Andrea, the sales & events manager and Becky the duty manager and there team did a fantastic job from the start of the planning right through to leaving the party.
No stone unturned and very accommodating to make the success of party very special to my father and all attended.
Thank you team, good effort and 10/10. If this message can be filtered down to all those involved.

Was taken here by my friends for birthday. The carvery was best I've had in Oldham and surrounding area. Delicious. The staff are so pleasant and helpful and the restaurant has a lovely feel about it very welcoming can't wait to go again.

Fabulous place got married on the 23rd Dec 2017 all the staff are amazing Sophie,steph everybody can't praise them enough they made our day so special we would do it all over again if we could and I would definitely recommend smokies to any bride and groom to be thankyou from Mr and Mrs Clarke x

Pleasant and professional staff. Our room was very clean and there is plenty of space. The hotel is well maintained. The bar is nice and breakfast was lovely. Good value for money.

Well what can I say about the fantastic staff at this hotel. 27.12.17 was my wedding day and everything was done perfectly, Sophie, Amy and Steph went above and beyond for not just myself but my guests. These girls work so hard and I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. The food was delicious. The medlock suite looked amazing by the time Steph worked her magic. Sophie, you are simply fantastic, from seamstress to Doctor Haha. Thank you once again on behalf of my husband and I for the hospitality. Worth every penny!!! We will be back x More...

Can’t recommend Smokies enough. Sophie and the team were fabulous right from the start. Our wedding was made personal to us and nothing was too much trouble. Sophie couldn’t do enough for us and we are so grateful. The room, food and overall experience was amazing, we got so many complaints from our guests. Sophie you are amazing. where do i start. from the day I walked in to enquire about my wedding this lady went above and beyond for us. My day was perfect and much more. I can not thank you enough and all the chefs the food was outstanding, all the guests commented how lovely it was. Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard. Even the day before when all the panic hits, Sophie was there to calm me down and reasure me, exactly what a bride needs. Me and a friend stayed here when going to the etihad stadium to see Robbie Williams, the reception staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.
When we got there and our room wasn't ready, but our room was close to the bar so we just went for a drink, very expensive cost us £16.50 for two double spirits, but the bar itself was nice.
Our room was clean, comfortable and we was very pleased with it for the price.
It was £12 for a taxi to etihad, we didn't think that was bad at all.
The bar is open All night, and you can also get snacks at any time too.
Breakfast the next morning was 8-10 which was perfect because its 11 to leave the room, it was buffet style, with plenty of choice.
Would recommend.

Me and my husband had our wedding reception here on 27/08/2017 and we could not thank them enough for everything they did for us to make our day so special, Sophie is just fabulous and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator she did everything in her power to make sure we had the best day and we did so a very big thanks Sophie xx
