Hi there. Thank you taking the time to look at my profile.

I have 18 years experience working as a Secretary, across various job fields that required me to continuously learn, adapt and strive toward excellence. I am highly experienced in audio transcription, and my previous employers include the NHS, Prison Mental Health, Research and Development and Continuing Health Care Team.

As a result of working as a Secretary within the medical industry, I have a vast knowledge of medical terminology, and I am able to transcribe difficult accents. I have experience of working in psychiatry, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, ENT, cardiology, metabolic, pain management, general surgery, urology, paediatrics and gynaecology. I understand the importance of confidentiality, having worked with sensitive information for the past many years, and have now updated systems and practice to ensure that I am GDPR compliant.

Since becoming self-employed in April 2016 I have completed work within medico-legal and private practice. Working with a number of consultants on a long-term basis.

I type at around 80wpm. I am an accurate typist. I am hard working and pay close attention to detail. I welcome feedback and always strive to improve.

I am available for work most days, and I can assure you of being reliable and being able to turn around work in a timely manner, aiming to complete clinic letters / reports in a 24-hour timeframe. I am a quick learner and always looking to improve my skills.
