I could find a meal (without alterations) on the menu for my needs; even though I have a very restricted diet. The staff is very polite and always make sure that we don't leave the place unsatisfied.

We stayed at Berehaven Lodge for our family holiday, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience - waking up to stunning views over Bantry Bay and Bere Island was brilliant. ||The lodge we stayed in was clean and comfortable with lots of open space and lovely comfy beds. The children particularly approved of the excellent WiFi signal!||Small problems we had with equipment not working were dealt with quickly and effectively - which was much appreciated!||||A couple of picky things:||- the window in the upstairs bathroom was impossible to open for anybody less than 6 feet tall - without the window to open, the bathroom was quite damp, and we couldn't get our towels dry (and couldn't tumble dry them as the dryer wasn't working)||- the sofa in the living area wasn't big enough to fit all 4 of us comfortably - given that the property is designed for 6, there was a lack of comfortable seating||- the kitchen had a weird lack of equipment - for instance, there was a carving knife and carving tray for a roast, but no roasting tins to cook it in; we had the aforementioned carving knife and a bread knife, but no other sharp knives; we had a tin opener and corkscrew (neither of which we needed), but no bottle opener. There were also no mixing jugs available.||- the floor in the living area could have done with a rug to break up the echoiness of the space. More...

Camping down the road and was out and about exploring on my bike when I spotted the sign. Initially went in for a coffee but after a peek at the lunchtime menu I ordered the mussels and fries. I had the pleasure of staying here for a week with my family and we had an amazing time. |The lodges are finished to a lovely standard and were very well stocked. |When we arrived the fridge was stocked with eggs, bacon and sausages and there was tea and coffee and bread for breakfast.|There is a small rocky beach that fun to explore, and sitting out on the deck overlooking the bay was very relaxing.|The staff were all friendly and welcoming.|There is a bar and restaurant onsite and the town is only about 7 minutes drive away. |It's a great location to explore West cork with lots of towns and attractions in driving distance More...

It’s rare to find a restaurant with such attention to details. It was an explosion of flavors!||We are coming from south of France and loving fish fishes we often look for this kind of quality which we can find there but not at that price. ||We had the mussels as a starter and the mackerel as a main course, both in a delicious sauce but without masking the flavor of the fish. ||Congratulations to the chef! Very nice, comfortable, spacious houses on a small site. We got house no 7 down the front by the water. Best ones to ask for are no 4-8 as they are down the front and have views over water and nice big deck areas||Very comfortable beds, big rooms||Kitchen had everything in it you would need with big american style fridge||Utility room great for storing the bikes||Deck could do with an upgrade, some of the boards starting to rot, but wouldnt take from the overall experience||The restaurant on site aswell is top quality although expensive but worth it||If I had known in advance they had a DVD player I would have brought a few with us||Also, they have a satellite receiver in the room so would have also brought our Sky+ box||Would highly recommend and the area is fantastic

Ideal for weddings / parties with up to 100 people. Just as good with small groups. The bbq stuff is v.good and restaurant manager very much on the ball to ensure service is prompt and professional. Nice bar too with a good choice of lager / stout or beers. Very popular so book in advance. More...

Do it. The dining experience is excellent; attentive without intrusion, anticipative, and most importantly inclusive of great food and hospitality. You get what you pay for. No worries or concerns with freshness, culinary accomplishment, or value. And the venue is lovely. A real treat you must not deny. Beautiful Area of the country and berehaven lodges certainly live up to there four star accomadation. Brought my daughter who is wheelchair confined and house perfectly fitted out for all our needs. But I think what really stands out in this place is the 2 girls who run berehaven lodges Norah and Natalie they both went above and beyond to make our stay special and comfortable for all of us you both deserve 5 stars in my eyes. Just finished a week here. Very impressed. House was beautiful, very clean and modern. Nice welcome pack of breakfast, tea, coffee, milk, and juice. Jacuzzi bath was lovely too. Staff very welcoming on arrival, and were quick to react when I reported a small problem with the toilet flush. Amazing views from the little harbour behind the restaurant, or the little stone beach. And two lovely little forest trails to walk the dogs, though we came across these, rather than knowing they were there, as there is no signposting of them.|A couple of small things which would have made it perfect would have been something more for teenagers such as a basketball hoop, of a green area to puck around a sliotar or kick a ball. There is a playground but it's more for small children. Also while the houses are pet friendly, the patio area is not closed in, meaning the dogs had to remain indoors, unless we were going somewhere with them.|Didn't eat in the restaurant on site, as the prices were just too high, considering the amazing food options just a few miles away in town, or in Glengarriff etc, but there were a lot of people coming to it to eat, so I assume it is good food. Too pricey for me to justify it though as a family. Overall, loved the place though, and would definitely consider it again if in West Cork. More...
