We ordered the Chicago style- it was extremely expensive for a pizza- but we are foodies and wanted to try! If you can handle an amazing amount of sodium- this place is for you! Absolutely fabulous pizza. The owners are not only hands on and informative but also very accommodating. The quality of ingredients and how they are locally sourced is amazing! We had the Tumalo Pizza and the potato on it was the star. It was finely sliced, cooked to perfection and seasoned deliciously! I highly recommend the Caesar salad because their garlicy umami house made dressing was scrumptious as well as they're perfectly crisp croutons. As my children say often BPK stands for "Best Pizza Kitchen". We adore this wonderful family friendly pizza joint in our neighborhood. Growing in New Jersey I was equally lucky to have a place so special like this one around the block from my house. The staff are always super accommodating and friendly. The pizza is absolutely AMAZING. Like I said, I grew up in New Jersey so it is hard for me to find pizza like this on the West Coast. BPK is the Best!!!! If you are in the mood for a salad, the Mediterranean Caesar is spectacular. Also, if you have special dietary needs they have a handbook with all of the ingredients in each item. Just ask for it at the front counter. I find that so awesome as someone who has food intolerances. Incredible vegan offerings! They have an entire vegan menu with several types of vegan meats. They have specialty vegan pizzas and you can build you own. Vegan cheesy bread, vegan ranch, vegan pesto. Well I was impressed. So the story goes we live in NWX and have seen a few restaurants come and go from this excellent location. We were excited to see BPK move in and own the space.First visit we looked at the prices and said, this is pizza and not equitable at $30-$50 for a pizza? Ok, we did not invest in trying them out first, we just did not return until recently. The Location: Excellent NWX indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is usually fairly easy and walking or biking is always the best. The menu: A large selection with a build it yourself options. Great salads and beer and wine. The Pizza: Got to say we ordered a large, combo specialty pizza with thin and crispy crust and it was awesome. Maybe a little salty for my taste but I shoved 4 pieces of pie down the hatch. Had to run a few extra miles the next day.They also deliver, I see the black KIA pretty busy zipping around NWX.Value: well that is a tough one, if you're on a budget maybe find other menu items or a Domino's but for us and we only eat this kind of food a few times a year so for us a good enough value, we'll return.Rent in NWX is expensive so we understand they can't sell $9 pies and stay in business, we are happy they are a part of the neighborhood. Yup! This place is legit for vegan, gluten-free folks. You can even get a vegan Caesar salad. As a first timer at the Bend Pizza kitchen, I opted to try a variety of their menu. This place is plant-based paradise, but they also have options for meat eaters as well. I would call it the harmony of meat eaters and plant eaters. As a plant eater, I was blown away with the quality of their food. The pizzas were phenomenal, the salads were great, and the minestrone soup was absolutely perfect! The staff matched the quality of the food. WOW!!! This place was incredible. My husband and I are vegan and my sister is a meat eater and we were both SO PLEASED! They have a whole vegan menu and every thing we got was incredibly delicious. Had another wonderful experience at BPK! My wife and I went here for Cinco de Mayo because I heard about they were serving a taco pie pizza. The $2 Coronas were an added bonus! The pizza was honestly amazing! It had just the perfect amount kick and didn't fall apart as I was eating it. I hate having pizza with lots of toppings, only to have them just fall off. I especially liked how the outer crust edge is soft and "fluffy". The service at BPK is wonderful, as well. They greeted me with a smile and the cook even came out to visit with me. We had a little trouble finding this place even using a gps because the sign states BPK rather than the full name. So be aware of that. There is limited parking on the street but also a decent sized parking lot behind the building.Not a super fancy place but clean and comfortable. You figure out what you want and then go up to the counter to order food and beer. They offer a separate huge vegan menu!!! Two of us wanted to order the meatball sandwich but they stop serving hot sandwiches at 4pm. Will have to come back before 4 to try them.We each ordered a pizza. I ordered the Pesto-Cini Pollo which had pesto sauce, mozzarella, roasted chicken, artichoke hearts, pepperoncini, carmelized onions, and sun-dried tomatoes - it was DELICIOUS!!! Being a Portland vegan and visiting visiting other places can be disappointing restaurant wise! Bend is surprisingly vegan friendly! Bend Pizza kitchen is delicious and is on par with Rudy's in Portland!
