I have boarded my horses with Benbrook Stables for over 5 years. The staff is the greatest. They care for all of the horses as if they are their own. I have one that is older and he needs a little extra attention. The guys in the barn are so sweet to him, they go out of their way to make sure he eats all his grain in the mornings and afternoon before they turn him out. They keep him in on hot days and take it upon their selves to give him a cool bath in the afternoons. They simply just love the horses. I would not trust my guys to just anyone. They are constantly going above and beyond. The facilities are beautiful. They also back up to the trails and all you have to do is ride out the back gate and you can find gorgeous lake trails that stretch for over 30 miles. The barns are very well kept, stalls and waters are maintained seven days a week. We have loved it here for a long time, I don't think any one could do it better. You see a lot of mentions of the owners. People get mad because they are zero tolerance for bad behavior, neglect and abuse. If they see any type of abuse to horses, the owner is given a chance to explain or they are asked to leave. No bad apples at this barn. No gossipy BS. It just is not tolerated. We went on a trail ride with Matt as our wrangler. Everyone we encountered here was really friendly and helpful. We loved the experience and Matt made it a very easy going ride. My fiance didn't have a chance to tell Matt he was planning on purposing but Matt did a great job with going with the flow and being excited with us. I have had my horses at Benbrook Stables for over 15 years. more than 90% of the boarders have been here for many years. We are all very happy and in great hands. The horses are loved and so well cared for. The staff cares for everyone's horse like they are their own. Most boarders who have something horrible to say about the Stables, or the staff and owners, are usually bad apples that were asked to leave, for one reason or the other. We are a family friendly group of horsemen who do not care for the drama that the bad apples bring in. If you are looking for a fun welcoming environment. It is the greatest place in Fort Worth. Just had our little one's birthday party at the Stables. His review was that is was "The Best Birthday Party Ever!" Horseback riding, hay rides, and a pony to pet. What more could a 6 year old ask for? The staff made everything effortless, fun and enjoyable for all of our guest. Shortly after my experience here, I found out my niece had a newfound love for horses. I told her I knew a GREAT place where she can ride and made a promise to take her here. Welllll, one year later, I called to make an appointment. This would be her first time riding a horse. After speaking with Chelsea, who was very informative and patient, we decided which option would be best for her (and her friend) and set the day and time. We opted for a single session riding lesson. $60 per person for a 45 min lesson. We arrived and came to the office first to register and fill out forms. I met Chelsea who was just as nice in person as she was on the phone. She fitted the girls for helmets and made sure they were the right fit. Then off we went to meet the horses. My niece rode Harry who was a big, gentle horse. Her friend rode Ruby who was younger but very well trained. Tori was their instructor and she was the coolest! It was very evident that she was extremely knowledgeable which put me at ease. She asked for the girls' names and remembered them throughout the session. She knew the horses very well including their habits and what not to do to upset them. Tori is very protective of their horses. She noticed another rider improperly handling the horse she was on and immediately went over there to guide her. After showing the girls a few instructions, we headed to the arena which was a little fenced in area off to the back side of the ranch. I wasn't able to go into the arena, but they have bleachers on the outer perimeter that were definitely in bad shape. I was able to find a place to sit and watch and of course take pics. Tori covered the basic fundamentals of riding, safety, and caring for the horses. The girls had a super fun time and can't wait to come back. They kept talking about the horses for the restof the day which made me so happy. Tori was an excellent instructor and made the experience wonderful.
