We had a great dinner at Ben Franklins the other night! We ordered the lamb sandwich and pulled pork Mac, SO delicious! Friendly staff, quick and attentive service, and a must stop in the New Castle area. We can't wait to go back!

We have been here probably six or seven times now. The service is always been very prompt and friendly. They know the menu well and can describe for you any of the features. Amazing beer choices if you are a beer lover! Many beers on tap and mini fridges full of bottled beer.. Including many craft choices. Lamb on the rod was especially delicious. They have different choices of homemade soups and homemade desserts. All have been delicious! We had my a surprise birthday party for my wife today and I couldn't be more pleased. There were about 30 people and all the food came out delicious and in a timely manner even though it looked very busy. The chef brandon was awesome!! He came out at the end to make sure everything came out all right and if we needed anything else. If you are planning a party and want to have a great experience, with excellent food, and great service, I highly recommend Ben Franklin's. Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. The outside doesn't look like much, but inside is welcoming. The service was friendly and efficient. My friend had their lamb on rod and said it was delicious. As I wasn't very hungry I just got their grilled cheese. It appeared to only have one slice of cheese. Bread was flavorful so I was able to eat it. I would go back but definitely get something besides the simplest thing on the menu. More...

Lamb on the rod was amazing the atmosphere is cozy very large and nice! Servers were very friendly and accommodating definitely will come back. Great food!  We keep hearing about this place, but since we don't drink beer, never made the drive until today.  I ordered the prime rib sub and Bill got the ribs.  We actually brought home leftovers!  I never eat fries, but these were well cooked and delicious with ranch dip.If you're on Rt#422, check this place out.  It's near the Harley business, and you can enjoy Mcconnell's Mills to walk off your meal.  Of course if you sampled the craft beer, just sit on the patio until you can drive home sober! While in town we have eaten at Ben Franklins twice! The ribs were so tender. The mashed potatoes with bacon gravy were amazing! Today, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich...it was the best I’ve ever had! Our waitress, both last night and today was bubbly, friendly and super helpful with area information. I wished I could remember her name. She was superb! (Small girl with long dark hair, attending Slippery Rock this fall for education.) I highly recommend this place. More...

Second time visiting for lunch this time. Our lunch was awesome. Waitress was good. My mistake was taking a piece of the orange cream cake home. If I had eaten it there, I would have sent it back. So dry, I couldn’t eat it even with coffee. I did call to complain and was told to expect a return phone call. Guess you don’t care since I never heard back. I have baked cakes for years and either your baker over baked the cake or it was old. Way too dry. At almost $7 a slice, definitely a waste of money. Just passing on some constructive criticism. I recommend your restaurant just tell people to avoid the cake. More...

The food is above average I hope they don’t start to cut corners now that they are established. Twice I got there 35 minutes before close and they said the kitchen just closed. Clean up should be after hours of operation not before. All and all I do recommend this restaurant. More...

Visited Saturday night, the food and drinks were amazing! Probably the best burger I’ve ever had. My only complaint is the service was terrible. We were seated and sat so long the hostess actually noticed we still didn’t have drinks after 15 minutes and came over we asked if anyone had been over yet(which I appreciated). We never even got a chance to order a second drink. We will definitely be back just probably for lunch when they’re not as busy. More...

We had a surprise party booked here this past Sunday. We had the back room, patio, and they even put up a tent for us to play cornhole, disc golf, and yard games under to keep out of the sun. They also allowed us to book a mobile axe throwing station to set up in the back parking lot. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond our expectations! Guests raved about how beautiful the restaurant was, how great the food was (Brandon does a phenomenal job!) and how amazing and attentive our servers were! The bottle shop on site was perfect for guests to send home a gift with the birthday boy too! This place is such a gem and all our guests are already making plans to go back!
