Un pezzo di Kent in Sudafrica....complesso in mezzo al verde, in posizione panoramica, nella prima periferia di Knysna, comprende una 30ina di cottages con edificio centrale per reception e colazione oltre a uno splendido ristorante con posti limitati ma la cui cucina vale tutte le attese. Wir hatten drei Nächte in der Anlage und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen: die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, unser Cottage war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auch wenn wir keinen Ausblick auf die Bucht hatten, sondern im hinteren Teil der Anlage waren, fanden wir es super. Hier waren fast keine anderen Cottages belegt, wir konnten auf unserer Terrasse oder auf dem Balkon gemütlich sitzen und zahlreiche Vögel beobachten (und ganz ehrlich: in Deutschland kenne ich den Wiedehopf nur von Fotos, hier hatten wir täglich mehrere auf unserem Rasen).||An einem Abend wurde ein Buffet angeboten mit verschiedenen afrikanischen Speisen, zu dem wir uns angemeldet haben. Dazu gab es ein sehr schönes Wein-Tasting und wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend mit sehr gutem Essen und einem leckeren Tropfen.||Wir würden hier auf jeden Fall wieder buchen. More...

We always stop here en route from Knysna to Brenton-on-Sea. We confine ourselves to tea and scones and Love the views and Jeffrey the Super Waiter. Not sure why people would stay here with the prices and the average state of the cottages. Proces are on a par with the excellent St James of Knysna; and some 5 Star B&B's on Leisure Island. They should put some money into renovating the place .... its location is great. More...

Tolle Anlage, auch für 4 Personen sehr gut geeignet. Tolle Häuschen oder die komfortablen Deluxe Versionen für einen geringen Mehrpreis wählen. Super Adresse, sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Kleine Mängel wie mal kein Wasser werden in Minuten behoben. Jeffrey kann alles mit Links! Das kleine Pub" The Bell Tavern " ist genial. Tolles Essen, super Salate und gutes Bier. We started our garden route tour in Knysna South Africa and stayed at the Belvidere manor. What a delightful experience. We had a garden cottage which was lovely and, while we did not use it, there was a well equipped kitchen. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The bell tavern is a great eating place and very reasonable priced. The staff were great and a special mention has to be given to Jeffery "soopar, fresh". He is a star. This Hotel was so nice with a great View and large and komfortable Rooms. Er hat a little Cottage to ourselves. The Breakfast was very Variable Bad the Pub Style tavern Hay delicious Food. We enjoyed the Waterfront Quays, Thesen Island, the Heads and the beach Walk from Brenton in Sea. We would have loved to stay longer. More...

I have organised several functions at Belvidere Manor and if the weather is good there is nowhere better than their patio in front of the Manor House. The food is delicious and service more than excellent!!!||I havent stayed there as I live locally but love taking friends there to show off the amazing view, and lovely gardens rolling down to the lagoon. It was a great privilege to be able to stay here in Knysna in such beautiful and peaceful surroundings! We received a wonderfully warm welcome on our arrival and were shown to our comfortable and spacious bungalow with the delicious scent of the ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow ‘ bush wafting on the breeze. Every comfort is provided here (good quality linen and toiletries and fresh milk for the tea tray, etc etc ) and every need anticipated, from the umbrellas by the door to the electric blanket on the bed! Breakfast was just perfect. Sue the owner is clearly an experienced and thoughtful hostess - so guests can just relax and have a wonderful stay! More...

Old English Pub atmosphere with beer on tab and proper English Pub Meals. As always, Jeffery is the star attraction, with his warm heart and chatter. The accommodation is in cottages that all have a beautiful view. Everything you require is there and if you do not feel like cooking, go to The Bell pub (since 1834) on the premises for a really well prepared and well cooked meal. Prices that will not shock your pocket. The breakfast served on the veranda, with views of Knysna are beautiful. The service is superb with friendly happy people catering to every request.
