So pleased we chose Bella Vista!

They've been fantastic from beginning to end. From the friendly, informative and comprehensive design stage to a perfectly finished end product.

Mike took care of everything from the planning permissions to organising everybody. The builders were friendly, considerate and efficient. Along the way all our questions and queries were addressed & answered and Mike was always easy to get hold of.

Our finished extension has given us the extra space we required and we couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Thanks guys!

Have recommended to all our family, friends and neighbours!

We've had our extension now for a couple of months and we absolutely love it! It's opened up our existing living room and extended out giving us a lovely open plan feel and it looks great.

Thoroughly impressed with all of the tradesmen that turned up along the way and all stayed late when needed, turned up on time, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and delivered a high quality finish.

In terms of timescales, we applied for planning in February/March time and hit a couple of snags which delayed the build for a couple of months, but come May we were well underway and everything ran really well and to timescales. This wasn't dragged out, it was well planned and coordinated by Mike and his tradesmen.

Mike maintained great communication throughout and we have built up a good relationship with him over the last year of planning application and build stages.

All in all we've had a great experience with Bellavista and we are really happy with this great new space for our family home :-)

Where do I start;
our new extension/sun room was supposed to be completed in 6 to 7 weeks, it actually took around 8 months with the 'tradesmen' turning up sporadically..

The new floor level was way too low so I had to lay down about 15 bags of self leveling compound.

Despite me instructing the builders to make sure they continued the ventilation through the new concrete flooring from the existing air bricks at the back of my house, when I returned from work after the concrete had been layed it hadn't done it: consequently I now have dead spots under my suspended flooring in my house that's causing lots of condensation and wood rot.

The final result was very different to what was designed, one of the walls was supposed to have floor to ceiling glass, but actually has a very ugly frame running horizontally through the glass wall and a gutter (was designed to be on the brick wall side thus out of sight).

Despite claims that they work to building regulations, they never insulated the new concrete flooring so it is much colder than it should be (now the only way around this would be to rip up the whole job)and would never pass building regs.

I discovered too late that the one cavity wall that was built (the others being a glass wall and full width sliding doors) was only insulated with rock wool: for the sake of an extra £20 or so why not use kingspan/celotex?!

The electrician's work was genuinely dangerous with no certification of work completed. It all needed re doing.

The plastering was about the worst I've seen.

Despite having a decent amount of insulation in the 'livin roof', the pelmet across the sliding doors has very little insulation so cold air blows through the downlight.

You might be thinking that all these problems may not matter because a 'conservatory' does not have to comply to the same standards as an actual extension, but we went open plan with the new build so it is actually an extension, also BellaVista claim to exceed the levels of insulation over a traditionally built extension.

A few weeks ago the roof flooded really badly (due to the insufficient guttering) with bucket after bucketful of water streaming through the downlights in the pelmet: when we attempted to contact Mike he completely ignored the emails..

All in all despite being an initially friendly salesman, using Mike (BellaVista) turned out to be a really bad mistake, and my build could be on cowboy builders!

Don't make the same mistake as we have: put your life savings into a proper building company and a proper extension and if our build is anything to go by don't be fooled with the good reviews, Mike was forever asking us to leave a good review despite all the ongoing issues.

Professional and 1st class service. We are loving our new conservatory. Has made our home more contemporary looking and the amount of light it lets in makes a huge difference. The neighbours liked it as well!

We were searching a long time for a company to build our conservatory but never came across a decent one. We had almost given up on the project when we found BellaVista Conservatories. They did a fantastic job. The conservatory they build is a great investment. We use it all year round and it gives us valuable extra living space. The building quality is also high and I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.
