I really enjoyed my time at BHW. My clients were very nice and made the job a lot more enjoyable. Training for the Behavioral Therapist position was smooth and in depth. This job is a good entry level job for people who are in the psychology field or related majors that would like to gain experience. Something I did not like is that they would hire some people right out of high school with no experience, which meant they would quit after a few days. I feel as they should at least have an associates or experience. I do like the flexible schedule so it works if you’re a college student. It’s a good job where you will learn the fundamental ABA principles. You do a lot of driving so make sure you know that beforehand. They also should provide a raise to parent consultants and provide the therapists with more games for the kiddos. As a therapist you will have to buy your own games because what the company provides is not enough.Pros Flexible ScheduleCons Low Pay More...

Typical day at work starts with arriving at the clients' homes, with drive time in between each client (usually 3-7:30). I learned that the ABA field is very broad with a good emphasis on working with children and their families. The workplace is mainly independent, with occasional visits from the parent consult, supervisor, and clinical directors. The hardest part of the job is maintaining a consistent schedule with the families, as some families like to cancel sessions and therefore making the therapist lose out on hours. The most enjoyable part is the fulfilling aspect, where I feel that I am really making a tactile difference in the family's quality of life.Pros Pto, Paid Drive Time, Medical BenefitsCons Inconsistent Work Schedule, Communication with HQ is spotty More...
