More...

This is a great hotel situatated in the middle of pembroke making it easy to get to anywhere without to much Hassel, the rooms are of a good size clean comforatable with al you need ie tea making facilities iron ironing board etc good wifi also. ||||The grounds are beautiful well maintained and just stunning. It has a in house bar which serves a good viariety of beers wines etc. ||||Breakfast is good with local produce we stayed for 6 nights and tired of the same menu to be honest would have been nice to have kippers salmon or somethige away from sausage bacon eggs as a hot option just my view however food served was of high quality. Only ate in the resturant once it was ok my husband had the fish i have to say i was a little taken aback as it was a frozen portion in batter very soggy and really not nice for the price £12 thought it wasn't worth the money i however had the beef which was amazing so beauitfuly cooked faultless.||||We had a few issues with the room but i dont feel its fair to put that here the hotel dealt with it amazingly.||||I would deffo stay here again such a beaultiful place in wonderful grounds worth the money all day every day thanks for a wonderful stay will be back.||||Just a note we had to leave early due to one of our animals being unwell we booked through a agent but was advised if we booked through the hotel directly they would have refunded us worht thinking about. We stayed two nights at Beggars Reach. On arrival the gentleman on reception was not the most helpful. On ordering our meal in restaurant that evening the waiter, who was the same person who was on reception when we arrived, who took our order forgot to bring our starter. My wifes choice had sold out even though there were only three tables occupied. She had an alternative which she didnt rate very highly. I ordered the Cod and chips, which turned out to be from a frozen packet and was awful. The waiter then brought us the starter later!! On our second night we had a word with the waiter and he recommended what we should have, which turned out to be excellent. Such a shame that a place as nice this can serve up some very mediocre food. Having said that the breakfast was excellent. More...

We drove down from home to our rental cottage, a trip of 250 miles which took more than 5 hours. The chap who came round with the wine and prosecco was particularly efficient as was the lovely sue at breakfast.|The only feedback I have is that on arrival Will was preparing drinks at reception but a good afternoon or a hello would have been nice as this was our first visit to the hotel as guests. Hotel booked last minute via booking.com.|What an amazing surprise. We had a double suite with sitting room. Wonderful. The sitting room made a big difference. Furniture excellent, sturdy quality.||As we had a sitting room, the door removed any natural light into the bedroom, so we were not awake with the dawn chorus. Down side, no open window fresh air over night. Whether that is a plus or a minus is down to the individual.||If I was to be picky, little things like a shower cap would be useful. The Visit Pembrokeshire book was only about Chester and Cheshire - 200 miles away!||With the amount of room available, a king size bed would have made difference, however, we understand this will happen very shortly. ||Hotel was clean, but again, being picky, the linen and bedding had embedded minor stains. Not a good look, and a little disappointing in a venue that endeavours to provide good quality.||Location is good for visiting coastal and surrounding areas.||Restaurant was ok, but could be improved, for example a rather limited menu available and some of those items were not available.||Breakfast was standard expectation of a cooked breakfast.||Grounds were amazing.
