We went a few weeks ago. A Georgie from IT impersonater was there. It was cool. Drinks were yummy. Try the Beetlejuice. The absolute best part was our bartender, Dan. We had a good time talking about my husband and I getting married by Beetlejuice in Las Vegas last year. We talked about the Tim Burton art show and realized we will all be there around the same time. Talked IT and about my Tim Burton themed tattoos. I visited on Saturday, July 13th with a party of six for my friend's bachelorette party. The atmosphere was impressive, though small, and the smoking drinks were fun. We were especially impressed with the actors (Jack Skellington and the Mad Hatter). The food was okay. I heard good things from those who ordered the steaks and not so good things from those who ordered the mac and cheese. Food was amazing. I had the Cheshire Mac for my appetizer & Sweeney Beef as my entree which is an 8 oz steak on a bed of mashed potatoes. Portions were acceptable, the steak was thick. The pricing wasn't bad for how much food you get. (It's New York, everything is pricey anyway) I thought the drinks were rather expensive though, I can't drink well liquor so I asked how much the fish bowl would be with upgraded liquors. They would have been able to substitute some but not all & the price would've been $40 so I skipped that. Problem with fruit flies at the bar but I didn't see any around in the dining area. I suggest covers for the liquor, this may help the problem. This restaurant was also COLD. Very cold. So make sure to wear a jacket.. or ask if they'll turn the air off ‍ The decor was tacky, walls need to be painted but it was expected from the other reviews. It's not what you see in the video promoting this restaurant floating around Facebook. The service was awesome from both the bartender & also our waiter. Such a fun experience & the perfect spot for a Halloween lover. After hearing about it for years, I went there for my Birthday while visiting NYC & I loved it. As soon as you open the door, it's as if you a transported to a Tim Burton Halloween Wonderland. The place is very small but Halloween music from movies is playing, 2 movie Characters socializing w guests, and the decor was mesmerizing. We went around 6:30. There's a bar & I would suggest making reservations as there's only a few dining tables. The drinks are fun and some even bubble. Overall it was smaller but better than I even expected. Great place first time coming here and I love it! I would recommend anyone who loves Tim Burton’s or loves just a place we’re you can be your self and not be judge this is your place. On the whole an excellent place to visit, truly unique. My only complaint was the 8oz fillet, I ordered medium, it came out close to well done plus the mashed potato was luke warm. I sent it back only for the chef to send me the same steak with hotter potatoes. He told the server there was nothing wrong with it. Our original reservation was for 10pm but we were called at 6:30pm asking if we would be able to reschedule or come in at 9pm instead. Coming from Jersey- we had to rush. When we got there, it was packed and hard to get to the host to get seated. When we finally got seated- we were greeted by our waitress (who was awesome and very attentive). Now here's a place that came as a big surprised only because they really have the whole theme thing down. We had reservations & upon our arrival we were seated right away, menu is a set price we started with some drinks I had the This is Halloween this was very good also tried the Alice's cup of tea . . good as well. Appetizers I had the Mac & cheese small serving but very good nice tasting cheese sauce. Main dish I went with the Steak & mash potatoes good steak cooked well good mash potatoes also gave the vegan Pulled pork sandwich a try this was great as well nice taste. This place is so much fun! And the food, for a themed restaurant, is really good! Lots of great vegan and vegetarian options. My boyfriends 16 year old, horror movie loving cousin was in love with this place. My only two negatives would be that the place is TINY. Trying to get through it is super difficult when the bar is full. And no one really directs you where to go to check in for your reservation, so you stand there awkwardly against the wall for a while until you stop someone to ask. Also. I finally got to visit here from Florida and was not disappointed! I read a lot of reviews saying that this place was small, not that great and not what they expected but this place was just nothing but amazing. It is small but the atmosphere was great, the staff was extremely nice, the food was delicious and the drinks were perfect. The waitress even got everyone (including edward scissorhands) to sing happy birthday to me and this place was just the highlight of my trip. Thank you beetlehouse for completing my New York trip! I had a great night at this place, the atmosphere is so unique, inspired by Tim Burton movies, this goth hangout serves amazing food (seriously AMAZING food). It's a small place (I think they seat 42 people at a time) so make a reservation in advance because it's worth it! You wouldn't expect to find the quality of the food I had in this theme little spot. Staff was friendly, service was good; and they have characters that come and go from time to time like the corpse bride. The employees here are the BEST! We were treated better here than anywhere we've ever been (and we've been a lot of places) for absolutely no reason. Everyone from the doorman to the hostess (?), both managers (?), and the men portraying Satan and the Mad Hatter (on July 13) went completely out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. This is a fantastic place to come to if you're a fan of Tim Burton. The art display is your classic favorite movies like Nightmare Before Christmas and of course Beetlejuice. The cocktails are pretty good. It's been awhile but the last time I was there I had the chocolate martini and it was heavenly if you've a chocolate sweet tooth. As for the food, it's American food your regular mill kind of burgers, steaks, mac and cheese kind of joint. A fun ambiance for sure! The two times I've been here, there's been diff characters from classic horror movies or dark comedy walking around. I'm assuming that's to keep it exciting. Really neat idea. The Characters are interactive and stay in their role. Would go back again. Everything on the menu is themed to old movie references. Loved that coco skellington drink. Oh, and it's kid friendly. We went there for Mother's Day. It was so much fun! The actors are awesome, they come to the table in full character! The price was a bit high but everything is so themed out, the drinks are amazing, the food is great, everything would have been perfect except they overbooked and it's a tiny place so they gave us a pop up table at the entrance which was uncomfortable and annoying. They also add a service charge to the bill with an extra spot to tip so we were unsure if that was the tip and figured with the actors all stopping in possibly that service charge was for them? If not, we double tipped, I'm not sure lol but maybe that's why it was about $300 for 5 of us? You could keep the price lower if you find out about that service charge and don't order drinks & desserts? But it was an awesome fun themed experience on Mother's Day so it was worth it to me!
