Came down to the flats to have some fun. Werent impressed at 2 places, had some fun at backyard bocce, we were HUNGRY! Enter beerhead. Walking by, the food looked good. Upon entering it emwas more lively than beerhead in pittsburg. There was a live musician. We browsed the huge beer list and found something. Wife ordered a pizza that she said was tasty and I decided on a pretzel that could feed 4. I loved the pretzel and it was good the next day even if I ate it cold More...

I really enjoyed our lunch here and I think it's the best choice in the FountainWalk area for sure!Take a food tip:  read the Yelp reviews and order what everyone is talking about Or what they're known for. What is everyone talking about?. THE BAR PRETZEL!  Ginormous and the perfect compliment to the !  It says it's made for 4 ppl but it's enough for 6 for sure. And sit at the bar so that you can sample a beer before you order it.  Or just order all your beers in "flight" size and take a chance.  It's a lot of fun and you're not going to get a loser. They don't fry anything.. no fryer! Everything's baked so you can feel better about that healthy plus and drink more beer, lolWe also ordered the panzanella salad which was very good too.  I'd order this again and try a pizza next time.  Others next to us had some amazing looking pizza!I tried three beers and loved them all so very much but I guess my favorite was the orange creamsicle, (See menu and beer pic), but loved the Kung Pao and Banana Bread too!My friend had the Roman Wrap, which looked a lot like a chicken Caesar  but really needed a little color or kick or something. We had the best waitress: Amanda, who says she doesn't work nights much do head in for lunch.  She was very helpful. We will be back soon! Great beer selection.    Drinks were good pours.  Loved the patio.  Does not make sense that you can bring your dog on the patio but not smoke.Very good meal and service today.    The buffalo chicken pizza was amazing and the pepperoni pizza was good as well.  Both chicken sandwiches were fresh and juicy.    Wish they had fries instead of chips.    Great beer selection.  Ok experience here.  Great tasting pizza.  The European was wry good and a nice balance from the traditional pepperoni.    Beer selection is clearly amazing.   But the friendliness and service keeps this from being a five star.  Otherwise, the place is awesome. We were in Elmhurst looking for a place to eat after working hard moving stuff out of my mother's apartment.  After walking about a couple of blocks on York we came to the Beerhead where we watched the last few minutes of the Patriot's game.  That's a big plus, to find a Patriot's game on tv in Bear's territory.  We ordered a pizza and a couple of beers. Everything was better than expected. The pizza was great and the beers were good and interesting. The selection  of beer is amazing. Their beer menu is more like a book. If you're in Elmhurst, drop in.  It's well worth the walk. More...

Came here on Saturday night for the first time ever and I was pleased with my experience. I have been to the Schaumburg location before, so I had high hopes just walking through the doors of this location, and they did not disappoint. Our waitress was nice, attentive, and helpful, but it also wasn't very busy for a Saturday night. The best part of this place was definitely the extensive beer menu... and when I say extensive, I mean multiple pages extensive! They have a great list of draft beer; in addition, they have many fridges full of cans and bottles of more beer. My FAVORITE draft beers I tried were Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat, which tasted a lot like Blue Moon because I asked for an orange, and the second I loved was called Around the Bend Vera Pistachio Cream Ale. This one was AMAZING and tasted kinda like cream soda. The food here is pretty good! I had pepperoni pizza which tasted fresh and homemade. The pizza was good, but not a taste I would crave or come here for specifically. We did have delicious chicken bites with the bourbon BBQ sauce, as well as the Barbarian pretzel that is ridiculously huge. I never saw a pretzel this big, not even those from a Greek restaurant. It was amazing!Overall, this place is pretty awesome, and they have live music on weekends. On Saturday, a country band started at 8:30pm and they were decent but not the best; however, I can't judge because I can't sing =) lolol. More...

We had a very nice experience here. They were really busy but seated us right away. The waitress was helpful answering all of our questions and giving great suggestions! The outdoor patio was bustling with a decent view of the river. The pizza was delicious and the beer was awesome. Really big selection of local beers. I will definitely come back! More...

We decided to try something new in the area, popped in here because we saw they had a ton of tap beer and that's our thing. Our bar tender was amazing, friendly and more then accommodating ( I wish I had gotten her name, she was awesome). For that alone we will be back. We also ordered the Mediterranean pizza and added chicken... it was delicious. They have appetizers wraps and pizza on their menu. No burgers. Overall it was a great experience. More...

The food was great- many choices of pizzas. My husband and I split a pizza, more than enough food. I love that it was like we sat indoor/outdoor since they have a huge open garage type thing. SO many choices for beer, it was overwhelming. The only complaint was the service was awful. We had to wait a while and ask a few times for things, and they weren't busy so I am not sure what the ish was. More...

Wow! This place is ADORABLE! We came here for drinks after dinner and totally wished we would have eaten here. The food smelled incredible and they had great indoor and outdoor seating options. Outdoor is perfect for a summer evening. This was also a perfect date night stop!In terms of the bar situation, you will not be disappointed! They have a beer BOOK...that's right book. Their selection is endless, there is definitely something for everyone. We enjoyed a variety of our favorite German beers that are pretty hard to find at your average restaurant. Not a beer person, not to worry! They have a great selection of cocktails as well. I would recommend the Paloma!Overall we had a great experience here! Staff was knowledgeable about their extensive selection and foods, they were kind, helpful, and made this experience awesome for us. Well done! More...

**Updated** We we're invited back by the owner and we took him up on his offer. We came back for my husband's birthday and we had a great time. Enjoyed the hummus plate(very fresh) and the beers. KK: EVERYONE GETS FIVE STARS TODAY!! Such a GREAT time!! Seriously, tho, the scrambler really hit the spot, though it didn't come with the smoked bison it claimed to sport. And Vincent is a polite, pleasant, and prompt young fella with a big future in the service industry. Lots of potential. And they even allowed my support peacock on premises! If only we could have gotten lost a bit longer after the meal, and maybe found the way back to The Standard a little faster and had car trouble there, the warm summer day after drinks would have fared far better for us both. Nice little place off Milwaukee Ave in Vernon Hills.  Good place just to eat, drink, watch sports, chat.  Really creative pizzas was the high point for me.  They had 8 separate specialty pizzas ranging from a standard pepperoni to including things like goat cheese, bleu cheese sauce, pesto, artichokes - definitely not standard pub food.  Goes along with the more "white collar" neighborhood.  There's a variety of salads for the healthy sorts and "beer bites" appetizers for the "not so healthy" sort. The selection of drafts, bottled, and canned beer is almost overwhelming.  We had a bbq chicken pizza and to be honest I could not believe it came out as quickly as it did and was fully cooked. I dislike undercooked pizza. I am not sure of the onion chopper skills in the kitchen though. The near raw chunks were quite big. We inquired about glass descriptions, as we knew snifter or tulip but skimmer was new description. Service was quick and friendly. My husband said the black I would recommend this place. More...

They had a situation where the credit card system was down and they were forced to take an authorization form or cash... throughout the entire experience the owner of Beerhead was open and honest and very apologetic for the situation and handled it well. I received a coupon for a later visit and since it's become a Wednesday night ritual to play bingo and hopefully win. Kevin is a great bartender there with tons of personality and great conversation while not lingering too long to ignore other customers. So much has changed over the last four years for what used to be "The Beer Market". Now Beerhead, you no longer order in your own food from neighboring restaurants, but you are able to order pretzels bigger than your head among other eats. They've expanded their patio seating which is FANTASTIC for busier days, and they offer monthly specials on their food. Popped in for brunch today so we could enjoy the spring we've all been craving over the never-ending winter and ordered the skinny wrap, less cheese, with a side spinach harvest salad without the cheese and bacon, and of course MIMOSAS! My fiancé was able to snag the last of last month's special, which was Beerhead's take on fish and chips, but with tater tots. All in all, the food wasn't bad for bar food, and our server, (Samantha, I believe?), was very helpful when I was attempting to pick apart the menu to make something for my dietary needs. Bummed they don't have fries though ... how can you have beer without fries?!Still a local favorite. Dog friendly patio. More...

First ReviewThis is my first review but I had to make sure I let everyone know about my experience.Came in with my wife around 7 PM on Saturday. We were greeted at the door pretty quickly by a waiter whose name we didn't catch. Decided to sit at the bar. We got menus, draft lists and waters from our bartender Kyle pretty quickly.  Quick detour- The wall decor was great, vintage brewery signs as well as brewery neon's all over, very cool and very eclectic. Kyle was super knowledgeable he asked us what we normally drink and was able to make multiple recommendations based on our answers. They also had ZOMBIE DUST ON TAP!!!We looked over our food menus and quickly realized that it is relaxed bar fare. Not meant to be fancy but something home made esque to pair with your beers. We decided on the Barbarian pretzel which was as big as our pizza we got later. HUGE!!! The pretzel was warm, soft, and salty and oh so good. Then we got a God father pizza, three meat pizza on some really good dough. We added goat cheese because why not. Stayed til about 9 and got the chance to hear the live music. Spare Animals was fantastic. We will definitely be returning to check out the rest of their 400+ beers and the patio once it warms up. More...

My lovely friend and I ventured to the 'burbs a few weeks ago to meet some peeps.  We had some time to kill, so we wound up at Beerhead Bar & Eatery in downtown Elmhurst located just north of the Elmhurst Metra station.  The place seemed to have a good vibe on a Saturday evening, busy but not overly crowded.  An unplugged duo (singer and guitarist) was entertaining the patrons on this particular night. The beer selection was quite impressive, and it was fun to sit at the bar staring at all the eye candy presented by the various beer bottles, cans, taps, glasses. You can get smaller "flight" sized pours so you can try a selection of their brews.  We split a pulled pork sandwich, served on ciabatta bread and topped with cole slaw and accompanied with a side of potato salad.  We also ordered a massive beer nacho plate with various toppings such as bean chili. Everything was good but not overwhelmingly delicious.  I think the potato salad was the best food item I tried that day.  We also witnessed a gigantic pretzel at a nearby table, so I guess Beerhead likes to serve big items. I hear the pizza is good here. I'd come back to Beerhead to have some more beer if in the area. More...

I was on the fence between 4 and 5 stars. Located in a large outdoor entertainment complex, around it are bars, movies, trampoline place...The best way to describe it is a mashup of the Hopcat and World of Beer concepts, right down to the floor to ceiling beer coolers on display. Beer menus are on clipboards, and they use the Hopcat method of stamping beers that are out and marking the ones just put on off their next up section.Great beer selection. I has the personal pizza, which was also good. The staff was fast and friendly. I had a chance to talk to their beer director. He said he was initially unsure about the dual emphasis on taps along with can and bottles, but the demand for packaged beer has been so strong they can't keep up with sorting the cans/bottles for returns. There is a slight stale smell inside, and the stools could be more comfortable. This place is new and for that reason I'm posting generously for what I hope it will be soon. Let me start off by saying the wait staff and managers on hand are SUPER attentive and friendly.  They seem to go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure you're taken care of. I went on opening weekend and had a great time. The place is pretty open with quite a bit of seating . We ordered the pretzel and diavolo pizza which were (super-good).  Went back a couple weeks later on a week night and didn't have as great of a time. That night they were out of their pretzel appetizer (phenomenal) as well as their achiote pulled pork (looks delicious). I get that this is first and foremost a craft beer place with a bit of food. But when the food menu is as limited as it is, one would hope the items are available. We ordered the Cajun chicken wings which were delicious and perfectly prepared  as well as the shogun pizza, which wasn't our favorite.  The chicken that comes on it was flavorless, save for a faint unpleasant flavor.  It was a bit dried out as well with an off-putting texture.  I told our server who eagerly brought a manger over to make sure we left happy  and we certainly did.  This place is super new and I'm sure the owners are still figuring everything out.  In the meantime I will gladly visit again. This location just opened so there's a lot for them to work out yet, but their working on it!  I had dinner here and came at the right time, cause it got packed about 30 minutes after us, around 6 or so.  There is no good place to really wait for a table and there seems to be no bussers getting dirty tables, so turn around can be longer than you'd want.  However the location is perfect, right outside Emagine Theatre which will just push moviegoers to stop in before and or after for a bite or a pint.  It's, of course, modern in design; concrete, wood, metal.  Basically the same design as all brew houses that have opened in the past decade.  There's a great bar there, and a secondary long bar in front of it for more belly- up seating.  Seating is varied, long high tops, four person high tops and some regular tables.  I'm looking forward to their outdoor patio and garage door openings; it'll be a hot spot come spring and Summer.  They were still working on what looks like an outdoor fire pit. Food offerings are kind of limited. Only gonna choose from pizza, apps, and sandwiches really. Anything else is reserved for lunch or brunch and weren't available for dinner. I had the Cajun rub wings, which were supposed to be smoked but really weren't. Very tender and fell off the bone though. Rub was good and I tried their bourbon sauce which was like a syrup. It's decent enough. Also had their Goodfella pizza, which has sausage, bacon, pepperone; it came out pretty well done but didn't kill the taste.  Decent pie there.  Also tried their potato soup which came out cold. Wasn't impressed.  A lot of people were ordering their 4 person pretzel, which just looked like a butter drenched roll of bread.  Probably soak up any beer you order.  Drink options are aplenty. Tons of beer, wine, pop, ciders, etc.  their draft list wasn't impressive but stable. Found a great beer from Keewenah brewing, Red Jacket Amber, that I really liked.  Service, as I said, was spotty, slow, sometimes forgetful, but pleasant.  You could tell it was a bit chaotic. Lots of near miss hits and unsure servings.  Food going back when they didn't know where to send it; missed drink orders and their host was cleaning tables and delivering drinks too.  I'm sure they'll work it out but it seemed hectic. I'll definitely be back for some beers and food for sure as I joined their beer club, which is sweet. $10 and they comp one beer, hook you up with a koozie, and a gift card for next time. It pays for itself!  Now this is a franchise so it's not an independent spot. You'll find them around the Midwest.  It's a good place for soaking up some never heard of beers and craft drinks. I wouldnt say to someone "Let's go to Beerhead for pizza", but I would consider ordering it again if we were there and I was in the mood for pizza.  Pizza and beer just go together.  The staff was pleasant and helpful. The interior was nice and had decent seating, but didnt seem over crowded, so there is room to move around. Great craft beer located in downtown Elmhurst, they had so many beers on tap, many of which I had never had or even heard of, from breweries big and small alike. I wish I could've stayed longer, there were at least 5 or 6 I wanted to try. I didn't get to have any food, but I tried my friend's ice cream cake, and that was pretty good. Lots of space, we went pretty late in the night and it was real cold out, so wasn't too packed, but it was still a good time. Hope to come back next time I'm in the area. It's within walking distance of Elmhurst Brewery and Red Arrow Taproom, so you could have a craft beer tour of Elmhurst if you so desired. More...

This place wins the award for the best pretzel I've ever eaten!!I came with my friend today for the first time and was very impressed. We came around 1:00 for lunch and were able to seat ourselves. The beer menu is insanely large with such a wide range. My friend and I decided to do flights. I got the holly jolly, strawberry rhubarb, and tangerine. All of them were great! For food we decided to order the pretzel, because that is all we saw on google. We also ordered the buffalo pizza. The pretzel was whip lash worthy! Other people were starring at it as it was placed on our table. It was bigger than our heads. It was so soft but crunchy. It wasn't overly salted either. It was SO good. The pizza was delicious as well, but the pretzel just took the show. The service was great. Towards 2:00 it started getting pretty busy! Next time I would just get the pretzel, because it is so filling and pricy ($14).Yum More...

Great place! I had my daughter's first birthday party here and everything and everyone was wonderful. Courtney and her team took such great care of us and all our guests (who loved the food, drinks, service, and venue). Courtney was super responsive and pro-active in planning with me and making everything super clear and easy. We'd been here before for dinner and didn't know they do private events of lots of different sizes. Will definitely be back! More...

I came here for lunch with my friend Ryan in August 2018. This is a nice spot for lunch or after work happy hour. It's located right on the water (Cuyahoga River). If you work in the Flats neighbourhood of downtown Cleveland then stop on in sometime. Sit on the patio and enjoy the river view. It was a bright and sunny day so my friend and I sat outside. FOOD - I ordered the California Turkey BLT wrap sandwich with fresh fruit as the side. I got the kale pesto on the side as well instead of in the sandwich. The sandwich was tasty and fresh. It came with lettuce, bacon, and roma tomatoes. I can't remember what my friend Ryan ordered but he enjoyed his lunch. I don't drink alcohol (except white wine sometimes) but if you drink, they sell beer here and I'm sure other drinks as well. SERVICE - It wasn't that busy at all when we arrived around 11:45am. Service was a tad bit slow to get our orders. We waited a while to get the checks which was a bit agitating because we both had to get back to work. Other than that, I'll most likely be back here.PARKING - I walked over here from my office but if you are driving then parking will be tight just because the FLATS is a popular spot downtown. Street parking is an option and I know there is a parking lot next to the Ernst and Young building. You can also try parking in the E&Y building itself.***- This is my 199 total Yelp review.- I have written 153 Yelp reviews in 2018. More...

We ate here on a Saturday night and it was a cool atmosphere and good food.  We got the pizza which was WAY BETTER than I expected.  For a random bar we stopped at, the pizza was really good.  It was not just "bar food" if you know what I mean.  On the night we went they had live music but the 2 person band sat on this tiny ledge up near the ceiling.  (That was weird).  But - they played some 90's alternative music so overall I was happy.  Also - they have a spiked root beer which is awesome if you are in to that kind of drink.  We liked this place and would come back. Came here for brunch on a Sunday. We got there around 11 and there was no wait at all. Mimosas are bottomless for $14 with purchase of an entree. They were awesome with the perfect ratio of orange juice to champagne, and our waitress, Lauren, never let our glasses be empty. We started with an order of donut bites, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered french toast for my entree and it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed it. Based on food alone, I probably wouldn't make this a regular brunch spot, but I will definitely be back just for the bottomless mimosas. More...

I'll be honest.  After reading some of the Yelp! reviews I was a bit hesitant to come into Beerhead Bar & Eatery. However, my sister and brother-in-law informed me that they had good experiences here.  So, we came in on Friday night and to my surprise, the place was packed and their was a live band playing.  The server immediately came to our table and took our drink and appetizer orders.  He quickly returned with drinks and took our food order.  We ordered a pizza and a nacho plate.  Both were pretty good (I'd definitely order them again).  The beer I had was a Belgium Ale which was ok, I ended up with a Stella afterward.  All and all, the atmosphere, food and service were better than some of the previous reviews I've read.  Maybe I went on a good night or maybe they went on a bad night.   Cheers! Best place to go for drinks in The Flats! They have a HUGE selection of beers and ciders to choose from, something for everyone. Bartenders are more than willing to let you try a few different beers and offer their opinion based on your personal preferences. My favorite beers were the Two Roads Road Jam and Rosellini, they had a ton of fruit flavor but not too sweet. Atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxing and casual. This is one of my regular places to go to get food pizza and beer. As far as food goes,  The angry carne is great. It's a bit hot , spicy, saucy and most importantly, delicious! Their nachos are great. The quantity is enough for 4 people to share. When you pass by this place, it's impossible to avoid the amazing smell of bread. I usually have pizza when I am there. Diavolo pizza is a perfect amount of meat and veggies ( read : giardiniera)! The selection of beers is crazy good. They have amazing collection of international as well as local selections. They usually have two pages worth of beers on tap which is a rotating selection and at least 4-5 pages of bottled beers from around the world. I have seen people bring their dogs here so I am guessing it's pet friendly too. They also have music at night on weekends. All in all a great hangout place with amazing beer and great food. More...

This place is a solid 4.5 in my book even though I know it has a few locations elsewhere. For beer selection alone, it's one of my favorite places in the city. The pizza is fantastic - besides beer, this is what I believe they're known for. Their dough is delicious... Also the giant pretzel... Again... Delicious dough. They have a great staff whom are all super helpful and friendly.  It's also prime location with a nice patio. Our favorite is a diavolo pizza though we've had some each since we come with friends and eveyone orders different things. They're all good. Besides the pizza, we've gotten the aforementioned pretzle (YUM) and nachos (also yum).Fun tip: They have happy hour on weekdays I think till 630 or 7, and a few pizzas are heavily discounted and most definitely worth ordering a pizza each so you have plenty of leftovers. The happy hour beer selection or discount isn't that great though but I don't mind that, since the pizza is such a good deal. The only negative so far is on our last outing there, the dough looked like it hadn't risen properly. This looked to be the case at a few other tables so not sure if it was intentional or what. It's never been like that before. More...

This place was my second favorite pizza joint in the city (Dewey's being first) BUT this place has a wider menu selection including some amazing giant pretzels. Located in the heart of flats, I often came here for dinner before wandering the streets of Cleveland. This place can get packed on game days so beware, but that shouldn't stop you!Extensive beer menu which can be a bit overwhelming but servers were super helpful in that regard and had no problems with bringing samples (trust me, my friends and I tried several before making up our minds). This place was fucking delicious. Out in the middle of nowhere for me but if you're in the area I highly recommend! An array of beers and drinks-the drink menu is significantly larger than the food menu! I tried their IPA/Galaxy beer-if you like bitter-this should be your go to. Otherwise they have plenty of drinking options and I don't think you can go wrong. Although the food menu is smaller, they have some pretty tasty options. Above all, I definitely recommend their pretzel appetizer. IT'S HUGE. Enough for 3-4 people. It's big,it's crunchy, is fluffy on the inside and above all-not too salty! Just the way I like it, yum! We also tried the meatball appetizer which was just okay for me. They had feta cheese on it and it wasn't the greatest combo but somehow it worked. For the main course we tried the pizza which is usually 14' and it was perfect for the 3-4 people we were with including myself. The Diavlo pizza was good! It was super cheesy and super spicy with the giardinara on top.We sat outside on the patio and they have a cute little patio area that very much had an LA vibe. Loved!Great beer, great apps, great food, great service and great patio-awesome sauce! More...

I can honestly say they have one of the most extensive beer selections I have seen! You know a place is serious about their beer when they bring you a binder of options. I was here in the past when it was the Beer Market but the downside to that place was that they didn't serve food so now you have Beerhead which has a variety of food options to pick from. I like that you can just try a bunch of beers if you decide to create your own flights (which is what I did) and you get to pick whatever beers you would like to sample. Our waitress was really nice and even offered to bring us a small sample of any of their beers on draft if we wanted to sample it before ordering it. This is paradise for beer connoisseurs who just want to sit back and enjoy a few beers. We just ordered finger food... the huge pretzel and the pulled pork nachos. Both items were good and kept us drinking there for a while. I do want to go back and try their pizza so I think once it warms up a bit more I want to go back to their patio and enjoy some cold beer and pizza :D More...

If you're like me (well, to be more specific, if you live in or around Cleveland), you are probably used to two things when you go out: a good selection of beer, and a plethora of pizza choices. Most pizza in Cleveland is on the thinner crust side. Sometimes, you want something with more of a doughy crust and you're too embarrassed to get it at Pizza Hut.This is where Beerhead WINS in the pizza department! Cheesy, chewy, doughy pizza with a delicious assortment of toppings. I personally think their BBQ chicken pizza is the best, but I haven't been disappointed by any of them.Beerhead is also amazing for their humongous list of craft, domestic and imported beers, all organized in a really nice menu giving you info on the style, location and name of the brewery, ABV, etc. I've discovered so many great new beers here and they rotate their seasonals frequently.Seating here CAN be limited, but there is a (dog friendly) patio. Long tables are meant to be shared with other guests, so don't walk in and immediately assume you won't find a seat. Beerhead is the best part of the Flats, and my new favorite pizza place! More...

Bottomless mimosas, bloody's, and rose! If you're getting at least two drinks, might as well go bottomless! They open at 11am on Saturday and don't take reservations so you just have to get there and hope there's room for you! If you're new to the area there's a lot of places around here you can hop around to and try, this is a good one to put on the list. I hear it's really busy on game days! All of the food we had was pretty good. The portions were just enough, you don't get heaping piles of potatoes and that's perfect, less waste! The Hangover Sammie was really yummy! The breakfast pizza looked amazing and I should've tried it. All of their pizzas look amazing (if you like chewy crust!)The breakfast burrito was standard, but good. The bacon maple donut holes were warm and sweet and very good, it's a good size so plenty to share and taste! Came here for Sunday brunch and it was pretty good. I got a breakfast pizza which was huge and full of flavor. The brunch menu doesn't have a lot of selections, I was hoping for just bacon and eggs. I also enjoyed a coffee drink with bourbon and pecan syrup, it was super strong and I'm still confused where the pecan syrup was but it was good. We also tried the donut bites which were delicious. Lastly we had the angry carne Sammie from the lunch menu, it was good but just a basic meatball sub. The side of potato salad that came with the Sammie was really good. Our waiter was super helpful and nice. My only complaint is my friend ordered an iced coffee cocktail which was much too strong and just not very good. Our waiter even said he has never seen someone finish it. I just don't understand why have it on the menu if it isn't good. I've been here many times as beer market, and went recently and tried the food.   The staff are always friendly and informed on the beer choices, of which there are many, and the place is very comfortable.   We had pizza (the diabolo - spicy sauce, sausage, giardiniera, cheese) and mild Cajun spice wings.   I enjoyed the pizza combo flavor, the crust was a bit soggy and I'd rate it average.   The wings had a good flavor, but their texture was rubbery, as if they were microwaved vs flash fried.  Of course I don't know how they're prepared in the kitchen, it's just my observation.   We saw an absolutely giant pretzel served as an appetizer that's the size of a deep dish pizza!  Looked fun.  Based on this one food outing, I'd return for the beer and atmosphere, which are great.  However I'd eat elsewhere first. We stopped at Beerhead Bar and Eatery while visiting the section of Cleveland by the name of Flats East Bank which is dotted with a great variety of eating and drinking establishments all within walking distance.  It was our second stop of the night and my husband and I were getting a bit hungry; this place although not a sit down for dinner kind of place it truly lived to its motto, "Drink Good Beer, Eat Good Food, Live Happy."  Besides having an impressive selection of beer on tap and bottled, their menu looked very interesting offering casual foods such as appetizers, pizza, salads and sandwiches.  After getting our beer selection out of the way, Imperial Stout from Great Lakes Brewery, we ordered "Angry Carne" and "Diavolo Pizza" both very tasty and generous plates!  The Angry Carne from the appetizer section were huge moist super tasty meatballs surrounded by toasted bread slices to scoop up the amazing red sauce.  Yumm, Yumm, Good!!!  The pizza was also hot and crisp with an amazing sauce and spicy chorizo pieces; another great choice!!  These two dishes were satisfying, and we did not need anything else for the rest of the night!! Overall: Very good beer selection with some inventive food.Food: 4 stars.  They go beyond the normal bar food with unique appetizers, sandwiches, and pizzas.  The Barbarian Pretzel is their big seller, and it's very good with 2 dipping sauces.Drinks: 5 stars.  The beer menu is the largest I've ever seen and is organized well by type.  They have a decent cocktail list too.Prices: 3 stars.  It's on the higher end for bar food, such as $11-$15 per sandwich.  Pizza is a good size for $14.Service: 4 stars.  The server did a good job explaining the menu and came by enough.Interior/Atmosphere: 3 stars.  They have a lot of TVs in the main section.  They initially tried to seat us in the north section, and you really can't see any TVs from there, so they should add some.Location: 4 stars.  A great corner location in the East Bank Flats but you'll likely need to pay for parking. So they changed their name to Beerhead Bar & Brewery, since the last time I went, it was called The Beer Market. This place is chill, they have sports playing on the numerous TV's, have trivia night, and they started selling food; they offer the typical bar fare, pizza, pretzel, some appetizers and others. I'm not sure if you are able to bring in your own food in like before but I'll check next time. The selection of beers is the same: endless. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely check this place out if you want to try out some craft beer. They have flights available! Have been here a couple times and they've all been good experiences! More...

This is one of my favorite spots in the Flats. The beer list is always amazing and do yourself a favor and order the pretzel -- it's enormous and delicious!!I enjoy the patio on a nice day, but the communal indoor space is welcoming, as well. They also happen to offer bottomless wine, mimosas or bloody Mary's during brunch which is a dangerous and fantastic idea. The brunch pizza is tasty and enough for at least 2 people! Our service has always been great, which can be hard to come by in the Flats. That alone makes this place worth returning to or checking out. More...

The beer market is a nice little spot in the middle of nowhere to have a brew. The list is stupid, in a good sense. Had a rough day at work, this is the spot. New intel came in that they are adding food to the menu soon. Would I come back? Sure, but I won't act brand new. Do I care for the wide range beer selection, no. We are craft brew enthusiasts. We used to be pretty cool and go to the city and on road trips, but now we are parents to a toddler and a baby. So, we stick around our hometown... Elmhurst. So glad we have a cool place to pick from a rotating menu of over 50 draft brews! Lots of local beers on the list...Goose Island, Tighthead, 3 Floyds. The vibe is sports bar with loud music. Kind of better if you get a indoor/outdoor seat by the big garage doors. Easy to get a seat on a weekday. On Friday, we arrived at 5:15pm and had a 30 minute wait. Lots of high top tables and they also have high top highchairs! The pizzas are not wood fired, they are doughy and delicious. The European pizza with pears and balsamic glaze is a great flavor combo! Pizzas are big enough for a couple to share. My toddler had the mini cheese pizza. He liked it...I wasn't a super fan of the sweet tomatoe-y sauce. We have also tried the Super Food salad, the spicy meatball sub and the chicken BLT sandwich. The kettle chips are crunchy and seem to be house made!Skip dessert and have a glass of One Trick Pony Cocoa Butter Kisses! Super cinnamony! We also love the Tighthead IPA and Pinner IPA. The flight glasses are the way to go. For about $2 a glass, you can get a flight pour of most of the beers. Very reasonable and so fun to try so many different ones. I liked the Banana Bread beer and Cherry Jubilee cider too.Our server, Brooks, was the best. Our toddler connected with him while we were waiting at the bar and we asked if he could keep us when we went to our table. Super friendly and shared great food and beer recommendations! More...

Headed down to the East Bank for Flat out Fridays.  Since the weather was nice, all the restaurants had long wait times.  We stopped into Beerhead and put our name in and was told it was a 40 minute wait.  We were seated within 20 minutes.  Although the outdoor patio was filled, we did get to sit close to the open overhead doors but the indoor dining areas are a little cramp. If your looking for beer, this is the place.  Multiple choices on tap and many selections for bottled beers.  No matter what your taste is, there will be a beer for you. It's a must to start of with the huge Barbarian pretzel to share at your table.  We could tell it is a popular choice because it didn't take long for it to arrive at our table shortly after placing the order.  There is a good selection of sandwiches and pizzas.  I chose the Angry Carne Sammie and was not disappointed although the side of Dixie slaw was pretty skimpy.  We also had some pizza too. This is a fun and casual place to enjoy a bite to eat along with an incredible selection of beer. Went here recently before a concert so it was crowded and service was a little slow. However, I still had a great experience. We ended up sitting by the bar instead of waiting for a table. Since it was just the two of us, it worked out perfectly.  The waitress was attentive and checked in on us a few times despite being obviously busy with several customers.  A manager also came by to make sure we were ok so perhaps they are aware that service has been an issue in the past.Didn't try the beer so I can't comment on that. I did enjoy their mac n cheese bites and the farmers pizza.  The mac n cheese bites feel a little less gourmet and more comfort. Reminded me of a cheesy tater tot with ooey gooey cheese - almost like a melted Kraft mac n cheese bite. I think it had some different cheese in it, but it felt more like cheddar than anything else.  The pizza was amazing! I appreciate the variety of veggies (kale, peppers, and more!).  The ricotta was creamy and was a nice contrast to the cheese in the appetizer.  I love that the crust is more soft than crispy although not everyone will enjoy that. They had a couple good vegetarian options for pizza so I can't wait to go back.  I've also heard that the soft pretzel is delicious and good if you're with a larger group.  Since this part of the Flats is the place to be these days, I'd recommend off hours to avoid crowds or make sure you're prepared to wait. Finally - a place in Elmhurst that has a legitimate set of craft beers.  I ask other Elmhurst folk to patronize this place so it stays around.Had 50 beers on tap including highly coveted KBS, and two varieties of Bourbon County Brand Stout.  Not to mention hundreds of others available in bottle or can.Good atmosphere, crowded but it was opening weekend.  Nice patio looking out to York.  Food was good - massive pretzel a great way to start the meal with your favorite ale.  Dinner was good also but heavily focused on pizza - would ask the restaurant to consider adding a burger or two as not much pairs better with a good craft brew as a 'royale w cheese' (see Au Cheval, Kuma's, etc...)All in all a great experience, welcome to Elmhurst and hope you have some staying power - true Elmhurst craft beer fans need you! Beerhead is great. I love this place because I have been for brunch, dinner, & a late night snack and overall always had a good experience. The hot pretzel is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. Not only is it delicious but I love the presentation and ridiculousness of its size. There pizza is extremely good. The only okay food item I've had was the breakfast croissant sandwich. Let me start off by saying what a great place! We are from Youngstown and my girlfriend and I wanted to get away for the weekend. She wanted to check this place out in which I didn't mind. It had a cool unique vibe to the place! The fire pits outside made it even more attractive. We sat at the bar and I asked the bartender if they had any gluten free beers. She said let me grab someone who can help you out with that! Nick! What a bartender! His knowledge is through the roof! My girlfriend had an amazing experience ( it shows this morning lol). She was able to try so many different ciders and gluten free beers and nick was able to help her with each drink. Me on the other hand I don't have a gluten issue. Nick asked me what type of beer I enjoyed. I told him three different kind and throughout the night I enjoyed three beers similar but different and I never had! Everything was great. The staff was great but Nick went out of his way to make my girlfriend feel normal and was able to try so many beers! Our next Cleveland trip we will be back and hoping nick is behind the bar! My friend said make something that makes you think of it and he made a Hawaiian Sunshine and that was that. Came here for a drink and app before dinner. The beer menu is HUGE and correctly laid out for your enjoyment. Some places they hand you a beer menu and they have it listed by brewery or what came in last... This place is none of those things.. They list by type of beer, so if your in the mood for a porter, go to the porter page, IPA, there is a page for that... Makes the experience that much nicer. Beer is in their name, so I'd say anything else is just an added bonus here when giving it a review. There is no denying that this place has an extravagant beer list. It's huge and has to be at least 8+ pages listing and detailing all the beers available. They also have a decent amount of ciders (at least 10ish) for those who enjoy the cider game. Staff is helpful in finding you a beer if you're a bit lost by the menu. In addition to having 5oz and full size glasses, they will let you sample some for free. They're also known for their pizza, which is very good. The downside of the place is trying to find a safe parking spot for free on the street instead of paying for it at a public lot across the street. More...

I came here for brunch on a Saturday and was surprised that the restaurant was not crowded at all. My friend and I got seated immediately and were promptly given water and menus.I ended up ordering the avocado toast, and my friend ordered the hangover sammie. We both also got mimosas, which cost $14 for bottomless with a brunch item! I thought that the avocado toast was pretty tasty, but definitely not incredibly special and the portion size was actually pretty small in my opinion. I was definitely full by the end of the meal from the mimosas but I don't think the avocado toast alone would've filled me up. The toast itself is pretty thin and the avocado on top is just a thin layer as well. Nevertheless, the servers here are very attentive, and we had our mimosa glasses refilled promptly and frequently haha. Overall, I think the bottomless mimosas here are worth it and I would probably come back again for that in the future. The food is not bad, but the portion sizes are definitely smaller than I would typically expect for a brunch entree. Customer service was great, and the location of the restaurant is also pretty scenic! If not for brunch, Beerhead also has a huge menu of beers that could be worth checking out if you're into beer :) More...

Nice place to stop in for a pint.  They have an extensive beer list, of all styles and from all parts of the world.  TVs on every wall, so if you want to see a game there really isn't a bad seat in the house.  Food is all BYO, with several good options nearby. More...

Stayed at a hotel down the street and was recommended to come here to Beerhead. WOW. Decided to come here both days I was in town. Food is on point and the local beer was top notch. I had the 4 hr ale braised bratwurst the first day and the short rib Sammie the second day. Highly recommend both. Awesome atmosphere and friendly service. Update: Every time we go to beerhead, we have a good experience! I went with a group that started as 3 of us, and ended up as a table of 9 or 10. Our server, Maria, was awesome and everyone in the group was happy. Our waters were always filled, everyone enjoyed her beer recommendations and no one was ever with an empty glass. Serving a table with constant guest additions can be tough, but Maria had no problem keeping up with everyone. Plus, the pizza is always delicious! Beerhead is great! Their pizza is amazing, and they have unlimited quantities of beer. Having an outdoor patio is a plus, especially with the firepits in the cooler months. Every time I've gone, our server has not disappointed with a recommendation of beer, and you can also do flights or sample beers if you are unsure of what to get. Love coming here for drinks and a bite to eat on a casual night. Definitely an awesome addition to the flats! More...

Fun, clean place with a huge selection of beers, both bottled and draft. Visited during a day of boozing in Cleveland and ended up staying for a few hours. I enjoy drinking here.  Danielle knows what beers to recommend if you like another beer that they maybe don't have at the current time.  So why only 4 stars?  Because of the noise level.  It is quite a bit louder than I would prefer here.  Other than the overwhelming noise, this is an enjoyable stop in suburbia. I love this place, especially for late night. The pizza is OUTSTANDING. I love the Goodfella. You can also make your own, but they have a lot of great options. The beer list is humongous! There's a good 6-8 pages filled with them but my all time favorite is one of their mixed beers- the chocolate covered raspberry. It is composed of framboise (20%) and the rest is a yummy stout. IT IS DIVINE. You can purchase half growlers to take home :) The atmosphere is decent for what the joint is and they have a nice patio. I approve! More...

Food is amazing. I had the Queen pizza, it was so good! Super fluffy and fresh. Pages and pages of boos on the menu (as one would hope for a restaurant called beer head). 3rd time here, awesome place. Was here 9/4/16The Good:-Beer, Beer, and more beer, all start at $5 and go up, which for a $5 craft beer, thats not horrible-Food, it is very good, especially pizza-Cool Atmosphere, summer is obviously better, they open the whole place up, lots of areas to sit-Service, service was good, slightly slower than expected when busy, but not horribleThe Bad:-All 3 times I have noticed the food takes a long time to come out, We waited close to an 1 hr for our food.  Granted we had 10 people, and the place was busy, would have been nice just to have been updated on the status of the food.  -Again, service was slightly slower when it was a busy afternoon, not nothing major-No reservations, first come first serve, in the summer its no big deal, but in the winter you are jam packed inside waitingId give this 3.7/5 after being here a few times, will continue to go.  Hopefully Beerhead reads these and can make adjustments when time allows. We stopped here before a yelp event to grab a beer. It was a Thursday and around 6:45pm so it wasn't too crowded. We found seats at a bar top outside and enjoyed a beer near some corn hole boards we played! We didn't eat but the pizza smelled DELICIOUS! On the other hand if you are looking for good food to go along with it, you'll find yourself quite limited. The pretzel isn't bad but the pizza I found to be too doughy. Had the best service from Jill (bartender), but I would have given 5 stars but the kitchen was closed, when it's advertised to be open until 1am.  I manage two restaurants, and I understand closing things earlier, but 40 minutes before the advertised time is a bit ridiculous, since there are a substantial amount of people here.  The only reason I stayed is because Jill is very friendly and attentive in this sad hunger situation.  I also just wanted to suggest updating the online menu.  There are new food items and the prices are slightly higher than the website suggests. Huge beer list.  The only thing that drives me nuts about this place is its open seating.  You are forced to hovercraft over people, waiting for an open bar stool or table.  The really bad part is you sit down to a dirty table and it may take a while for the busser to clear off the table.  Enough of the annoyances...Pizza was pretty darn good and more than enough for 2 hungry people to share.  Service was good once we got settled, and we were there on a busy Saturday night.  A good place to go for a few pops or before a concert at Jacobs Pavilion.  I imagine it would be a good place to watch a game. This is an awesome place to grab a few beers with your friends. They have a very wide selection of beer on tap and in bottles. They replaced Not Your Father's Root Beer with Coney Island Root Beer which is definitely not as good even though our waitress promised me it would be. That is the only reason this place is receiving 4 stars (until they bring back a better tasting root beer beer). We went on a Tuesday and it just happened that it was Trivia Night so my friends and I joined in on the fun. It was set up really well and the host of the game did a great job. We didn't win but we had a lot of fun playing and interacting with other patrons. We did find out that the winners received gift cards to The Beer Market so that's a great incentive to play again! The Blackhawks game was on that night so they turned up the volume incredibly high to the point where we couldn't talk to each other anymore. A table next to us looked like they were on a date but I would not suggest taking a date here because it would be really difficult to talk. Obviously this place is all about the beer.  The beer menu is actually a bit overwhelming, but it's a lot of fun to peruse and try new things.  The servers and bartenders all have to attend a really rigorous training about beer, so don't be afraid to ask them questions! The food that they have is good - I just wish they had a bigger selection.  The pizza is really good - great to share or order and have leftovers for (at least) another meal.  The pretzel is delicious, but HUGE.  It's possible to eat between just two people, but you probably won't want anything else after that.  Worth getting at least once though.  As for the sandwiches... :(  I eat seafood but no other meat, and there are NO sandwiches I can eat - not even a fried fish sandwich, and not even on Fridays during lent.  So if I could make one request/recommendation to the management, it would be to add some seafood and vegetarian sandwiches or entrees. This place is definitely a lot of fun and worth checking out if you haven't been.  Consider coming on Tuesday nights when they have trivia at 7pm. I was a die hard World of Beer fan and when they closed by friends and I were on the hunt for another location to served up as many crafts beers as we could find. I am happy to say I think we have found it. With 50 taps and over 400 bottled beers this rivals world of beer only topping with with there selection of delicious food.My friends and I ordered a pizza and pretzel...WARNING the pretzel is huge! I've never seen one that big, pretzel I mean. It was definitely enough to feed 4. The spinach pizza we ordered was also pretty stellar. Our waitress was funny and bubbly and helped me fall in love with my magical new beer heaven. While I have nothing but good thing to say about the Beerhead itself the reason I had to shy away from that fifth star is the cost to visit this wonderful place. There is very little street parking so a stop at this Bar and Eatery will cost you somewhere between $8-15 for parking.I would suggest a carpool trip with some of your best buds to cut the parking cost and my motto is always the more the merrier when it comes to toasting with some exotic beers. Came here to have a beer before dinner and decided to stay and watch the entire Browns game.  We really liked the cool, laid back environment.  The beer list is extensive and we wound up ordering the goat cheese dip and a couple of pizzas.  The dip was very good.  The pizzas were quite tasty, albeit a little too fluffy and not thin enough for my taste, but that's just a personal preference.  The service was a bit slow, but it was quite busy and the server was very friendly.  Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back.
