We recently used Becca for some outdoor family photos and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out! We have an almost 3 year old and Becca worked with us on a ~20min outdoor photo session that was the PERFECT length of time for our toddler. We love, love, love Becca! We recently worked with Becca for an outdoor family photo shoot at Lake Harriet. She made the whole process, from booking to receiving our photos easy and pleasant. We have a 6 year old son who cannot sit still and has an extremely short attention span. Becca kept things moving quickly and had him laughing and engaged the whole time. My husband and I were married over 4 years ago and we still get so much joy from looking at the moments she captured for us. In addition to nailing the necessary posed photos (and doing it oh-so quickly and smoothly), she also beautifully captured candid moments that still instantly transport me back to that insanely happy day when I look at them. Her photos are ridiculous stellar--you can see that for yourself--but what makes Becca a true gem is her perfect mix of professionalism and engaging personality. We knew our wedding day would go by quickly and wanted to feel secure in who we picked to be our photographer.

Becca made our day relaxed, fun and orderly! We felt that her presence was calming and direct so she captured every moment we wanted to cherish. She was experienced and prepared, she knew what pictures we would want even before we did.

There were so many photographers to choose from, but no one felt more personable than Becca - She jumped right in and became a part of the wedding fun!

The whole process - our first emails and phone calls to now - was organized, helpful for planning and effective for executing our most beloved photos.

As we look back on all the pictures she took, we feel all our hard work of putting together our big day was captured and the joy and love we have with each other, our dog, family and friends was precisely what we envisioned.

My husband and I could not be happier with our wedding and engagement photos from Becca Dilley! She was able to capture so much of our wedding day (everything from formal portraits to sweet unexpected moments to candids on the dance floor) and every single photo was stunning. She is so much fun to work with, and is truly able to bring out the personalities of the people she photographs, which really helped us to capture the feeling of our big day and the sentiments of our family and friends who were there. She is professional and prompt, very flexible, great at commanding a group (helpful to get through things like family photos or group portraits), and her pricing is absolutely fair for the quality of photos and service. The photos speak for themselves, but we felt her experience level allowed us to forget about so many typical wedding photo worries. We didn't give her any instruction on what type of photos we wanted, or any lists of certain shots (besides some family groupings) and let her take the reins completely. Where to start with Becca? It isn't even enough to say she takes beautiful photographs. She does, trust me. But she does so much more. She makes you feel comfortable, she makes you laugh, she genuinely cares about you and your day. She keeps rowdy groomsmen in line and gets a 5 year old flower girl to roar like a lion for an action shot. She is thorough but creative, patient but gets shit done. Even though I probably asked 20x if we were doing ok I time, she never once showed frustration for a nervous bride. :) She kept us on time and she got us (and our limo driver) to all the locations we wanted photos at. She was so fun to work with and made me feel so much more at ease about being getting my photo taken over and over. And that was just our wedding. We also worked with Becca on our engagement photos at the Minnesota State Fair and after seeing those photos and experiencing that day with Becca, we knew we'd made a great choice. I cannot say enough about Becca - I call her my Wedding Genie! She captured beautiful photos and the spirit and uniqueness of our day shone through in her images.

But... beautiful photos are what you expect from a photographer. Not earth-shattering. What puts Becca in a class of her own is everything she brought to the table that I could have never anticipated. As an event planner with a decade+ experience, I've worked with TONS of professional photogs and Becca blew me away.

She's fun, happy, funny and non-intrusive - shooting with her a pleasure She also was armed and ready for anything that came her way. She tied twelve bowties when our groomsmen and ushers couldn't quite pull it off. She was crawling on the floor of the bus when I dropped my cell phone under the seat. She was first on the scene with a bobbypin when my godmother's shirt zipper broke. Becca was fast on her feet and anticipated every little thing that could have happened - and was there to make sure that things went smoothly and that our day was totally stress-free. I swear she has 100 eyes and hands!

Also - Becca is fantastic with kids... we had 6 little boys in our wedding party (2 - 12 years old) and she was great with them! My sister worked on the Huggies advertising business for a number of years and said Becca was one of the best "kid-wranglers" she had ever seen in action.

Becca is phenomenal. She's professional and easy to work with. On our wedding day she made us feel incredibly at ease. Where do you even begin with Becca? I think its safe to say her photos speak for themselves. They are stunning, and anyone would be thrilled to have them hanging on their wall. But what makes Becca so great is that she is just a joy to be around. I didn't meet with any other photographers after meeting Becca because I knew I needed her at my wedding. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people, and taking pictures in the middle of a park can be a bit awkward. Becca made the entire experience (both engagement and wedding) not only comfortable, but extremely fun. She was also essential to making the day run smoothly. My husband and I used Becca to photograph our wedding and she was AMAZING! Becca is about the nicest person you have ever met, but she is also a bit of a task-master. She kept the whole wedding party on track and right on schedule. For example she organized my husband's family of about 60 people for a picture during the happy hour of our wedding and it only took minutes. I was first introduced to Becca through my sister's engagement photos. I really enjoyed her creativity of incorporating background, lighting, different angles, and editing to make the pictures look fabulous. We researched many wedding photographers, and feel very lucky to have found Becca.
From start to finish, Becca was an absolute dream. In the planning stages, she was very responsive and always answered emails promptly. We were planning our Minneapolis wedding from out of town and so had limited time to meet with her in person, but this wasn't a problem at all. She made it so easy!
On the day of the wedding, Becca and her assistant Wendy were so great to have around. I was very comfortable having them there for the more intimate and nerve-wracking parts of the Getting Ready process-- they were both so relaxed and fun.
Not only is Becca wonderful to have around, but the Photos. Are. Gorgeous. She captured all the best moments of the day, and we have loved (and will continue to love) looking at the photos again and again.

Not only was she extremely responsive when we had questions, she also had great suggestions for photo ops in the downtown St. Paul area near our ceremony and reception locations. Becca's photographs speak for themselves - beautiful, creative, candid shots - so instead I'll speak to who she is as a photographer. She catches real, natural moments instead of creating forced, fake moments, and she does this with ease in part because she is fun, funny, and comfortable to be around. Becca is the perfect balance of easy-going and focused. By this I mean that she blended in so well that our guests thought she was a friend of ours (not the "task-master" type photographer that I've seen at some weddings) while at the same time she positioned herself and us so well throughout the day that we got all of the shots that we hoped for. Having Becca Dilley as our photographer was like having the best photographer in town and also getting a free wedding attendent. She was so helpful in so many different ways. So I am very grateful that our planner, the brilliant Gretchen Culver, recommended Becca for our wedding. I feel compelled to write this review because Becca was hands down the BEST photographer we could have had for our wedding day. I am so beyond grateful that she came all the way to Cape Cod to shoot our wedding and she exceeded every single expectation that we had for a wedding photographer. Not only was she so personable and funny and organized (and had everyone wanting to be her friend and stay in touch by the end of the wedding weekend!) but she handled what I can imagine was a difficult job of herding a bridal party of TWENTY to get all of our pictures! It was amazing. Without ever needing to shout, or once getting anywhere near frustrated (as I imagine some photographers would- rightfully so with excited bridesmaids and groomsmen wandering here and there and wanting to get the party started!) she instead channeled people's energy (specifically the groomsmen!) into taking pictures that my husband and I will cherish forever. She captured candid moments (which I wanted the most) that make me cry to this day when I look at them. We are so grateful. Becca, please come be our photographer when we renew our vows someday in the future.
