The beer selection is awesome! Best short ribs ever! Desserts all made in house, are outstanding!
Great place with great selections-our food was so good!
Loved the food, atmosphere, and look of the place. Wev went on a night that wasn't too busy, but still we're served very attentively. Moriah and Wendy were great!
Amazing filet with great sides. Will definitely go back.
Just left Beasts and Brews, tried it for the first time and my family absolutely loved it! My 2 year old had some delicious French Toast and my husband and I had the chicken and waffles and bottomless mimosas. The chicken that came with the waffles was sooooo good! Highly recommend this place not only for their food, but also their self serve tap room. More...
We were brought in by the Passport Program and were super impressed! The decor is nice and the restaurant is open. I was glad that it wasn’t packed with pool tables, dart boards or bunches of televisions with sports playing. It’s nice to have a tap house that is a little quieter! It was really nice to be able to try different brews until finding the ones we really liked. Brunch was delicious. The avocado toast was different without being over the top, and the breakfast burger was AMAZING. The service was great, and we really appreciated the manager coming around to check on everything. We are really excited to come back. More...
The was our first time at a pour house! Beasts and Brews absolutely delivered an incredible experience for us! We found our new favorite place!
Fish and Chips were great. Loads of fun trying out different beers.
This is a very creative model for sampling a wide variety of brews. The food alone smells delicious. The decor and atmosphere is very well done. The view of Pukes Peak and the front range is stunning. A great place to unwind after a long week at work. More...
An amazing place would 100% recommend great environment. Tim the owner is amazing. A great guy. And Essence is awesome!
Great. Inception with the taproom, super friendly staff, food was awesome but... too benign. Customers would stay longer if the environment was more entertaining. Need some pool tables, darts, shuffleboard and games on TVs. Maybe just on one side but we got bored and that shortened our evening and thus our purchasing... food for thought, owners More...
Amazing food! We had the PB&J burger, adult grilled cheese, house made salted caramel donuts, and lots of different beverages. The staff was helpful and friendly. Live band. Drove over an hour to try it out, and have decided it’s probably our new favorite in Springs. More...

I really do like this place. Unique menu, ability to try all different beers without committing to one....the only minor thing I didn’t like is how they charge you right when the pour starts, even though the first 2-3 seconds is foam. But yes, I would recommend.
The steak was beyond delicious - crispy seared outside, buttery mouthwatering flavor. Sides excellently prepared - never thought I'd be enthusiastic about broccolini. Did some shorter self pours to enjoy a variety of beers and finished with a small bourbon and cider. More...
Great selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the food was delicious as well. The friendly staff just rounded out the experience. We'll definitely be back!
Hold the Press! Over 100 beers on tap!! I love that. This is the place I will bring all my beer loving friends! On a side note, the door area could get crowded, especially if you don't know what you're doing and just standing trying to figure it out. You have to check in with your ID first and give the girl at the register a credit card so she could load a card that is used to self serve beer. Great concept! Just isnt very clear that you have to do that so i saw a few confused people. but once you have the hang of it, it really is easy and fun. The selection is crazy. A ton of Colorado beers. they even have cider and wine on tap. The food is great.sometimes a bit salty but i understand that. it helps people want to drink more, and come on there's so much to choose from. Who wouldn't? The mac and cheese was pretty great. they also age their steak there in a big locker. It looks like a place you coud get a great steak but the atmopshere is more bar type. So, mayne get a great steak and drink some great beer, but don't expect romantic and cozy, this isn't the place for that. But great fun with an open concept restaurant with people buzzing about talking about beer, this is it! ANd a great way to meet new people. The side of the restaurant completely opens for great views of the mountians. The decor is rustic reclaimed wood/stainless steal. The seating is comfortable and there's plenty of it. However, people aren't real quick to vacate their seats, they are there drinking so if you go for dinner, just know that. Also, the pour your own is a fantasic idea, as you can go pour an ounce of whatever and try what you want without having to purchase a whole beer. Over all a great place to hang out. Its bright and airy. Everyone there was having a great time. The only thing negative I would have, and only very slight is that the waitstaff needs to be a bit more attentive. The dinner plates need to be picked up a bit quicker. More...
So I have to start out with I went to Beasts and Brews as a part of a Yelp event. It's a new place and about a mile from where I work. I had been curious about it so happy to go. (Just down from bass pro shops). I have to say lots of amazing things. First they have a butcher shop. I got to say I was so tempted to leave with a couple ny strip steaks or rib ryes. They looked *so* good... next time. So back to the place. The look/atmosphere is very nice. Hip, it looks like they may have a fire pit or two (I think, but not sure). Regardless it's a comfortable place. It's one of those places (a couple in the Springs) where you get a card charged with $$ let the reader read it and pour your own and you choose how much (number of ounces, shot or a double.. things like that). They have a bunch of Colorado beers, some wines (some Colorado, some not), cider and some Colorado spirits. A big number of taps, something for everyone. We got to try some food. Wings, pizza, pork belly. It was all good and I look forward to ordering my own plate(s) another time. So all in all a nice place, lots of drink options, good food I'll visit again. Just one thing to mention, as with all the pour your own places you should watch what you pour as you can easily rack up the $$$. A fun and good place. Definitely worth a visit! More...

OUTSTANDING beer selection, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere!!
Went to beast and brews last weekend to start our wedding anniversary day and it was wonderful! So many great options on tap for reasonable prices and my burger was fantastic! We will definitely be going again!
Haven't eaten there yet, but drank plenty--the selection of beers, and the new-age electronic distribution beer pouring system is outstanding. Go give it a look and enjoy lots of great beers and wines. More...
Came in the early afternoon, and the place had plenty of spots for us to pick where to sit. perfect for a quiet place to come with your friends where you can try a multitude of beer, wine, and liquor! Especially nice if you don't want to have to commit to one drink. My friends and I all got flights so we were able to try small amounts of anything they had to offer. Highly recommend this new fresh spot! More...
Such a fun and modern restaurant! You have the ability to pour your own drinks and pick how much of each type of drink you want, they offer wine beer liquor and different varieties of all! Staff is very helpful if you have any questions, came here with my friends and it made for a fun afternoon! More...
Our groupie had the Salmon Fish and Chips, the Spam Sandwich, A Burger, The St Louis Ribs with Mac and cheese. Everything was outstanding and cooked to perfection! The drink selection is phenomenal! great selection of beer and wine!awesome atmosphere and the food is delicious!
I really enjoyed my meals and drinks here. One of my favorite places in the Springs also has pour-your-own serving style, so I was super excited to try this newer restaurant out! First - the view! When I went, they had the window walls open so that you have this beautiful view of the mountain. Absolutely gorgeous! You order your food and get your drink card at the front desk, and the woman who was helping explained everything very well. Then there was another assistant to help with the technology. I had opted for the flight-style glasses so I could try just a little of a couple beers. She warned me ahead of time that I might get a disproportionate amount of head with the small glasses, but I really just wanted to try a few things so I decided that was ok. I really appreciated that she gave me the heads up though! The beers that they carry are definitely on the pricier side, but that's what you pay for good craft beer. I just loved how many choices there were. I ended up trying a few things and then pouring a larger glass of one that I had really enjoyed. Definitely go here with the mindset of needing to serve yourself so you're not disappointed, but that's the whole point of the place! More...
This is our new favorite restaurant in northern Colorado Springs. We find ourselves here once every week or two, and don't see a reason to slow down. We love the tap concept of the beers, and food is high quality. We are no longer interested in the typical bar and bar food, and would rather have the kind of food served here. There were some growing pains when they first opened that I think are reflected in the lower reviews, but we were patient as we knew this is NOT a chain restaurant. Anything owned locally is going to take some time to work out the kinks. Beasts and Brews is constantly tinkering and improving, so kudos to the staff. Our last meal was the shareable rib eye, Brussel sprouts, and a Caesar salad. Everything was incredible! Plus, you can't beat the ambiance, decor, and views. More...
Great food and tons of local beer on tap (self-serve). Wine and spirits too. Great service. Awesome Mountain View’s from patio. Menu items are a little pricey though. More...
Our first time here, will return often
Biggest selection of brews and great menu! We had so much fun here!
Amazing birthday dinner for my husband tonight. The poutine is heaven! I can’t wait to tell all my friends that I went there first when this place becomes the hip new spot in town.
The self pour is fantastic and the entire staff is so helpful and nice! Let's talk about food. Amazing. I have no idea how this place has less than 5 stars. The poutine is the best I ever had, plenty of gravy and meat! The risotto was perfect (which is hard to do). I got the salmon fish and chips and it was amazing. Everything came out hot and delicious! Be prepared to spend a good while here because you won't want to leave! More...

great selection and food!
Lots of great beer on tap to try out. The pork chop with brussel sprouts and risotto was delicious! The best pork chop I've ever had! I would not recommend the mussels; they had a pungent smell and taste however the broth and sausage was very good. More...
Great Service!! Food was excellent!!
Absolutely incredible pork cop. Tender and delicios. Brussel sprouts with siracha were amazing. Love the beer selection. Fun concept.
Casual, clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was wonderful. Going to have to come back and try all the selections they have there!
Fantastic food an beer selection!!!

The food, staff and atmosphere are absolutely incredible. Oh, and the views of the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains are spectacular.
Best fish & chips on the planet!
Best craft brew pub in Colorado! Over 100 local beverages; all manner of bers, ciders, wines, spirits.... Plus amazing food and butcher shop! ! Great atmosphere, mountain view, and great serice!! More...
I can't articulate how much I LOVE the concept at Beasts and Brews.First, serve your own beer and pay by the ounce offers a great opportunity to sample dozens of beers that you might never try. It also is a bit dangerous in that you can easily rack up a bill without knowing how much you are pouring. Thankfully, they set a $20 limit on your card and after you reach that limit you have to talk to the waitstaff to have it turned back on. Great idea.Second, they have some GREAT Colorado beers. I stuck to the IPAs, especially the Outer Range Brewing company hazy IPAs which are becoming more available in town. All of the beers are organized by type so if you want IPA they are all in the same place; stouts, all in the same place. Beasts and Brews had a few available here that weren't available at other places in town. They also have wine, liquor, and coffee available to pour yourself. The food here is fantastic. My wife and I ordered nearly all of the appetizers on the menu to supplement our beer sampling. Every one was great. We talked to a few other customers who were also raving about how good their food it. Of note, the fish and chips is made with salmon; a good reason for me to make another trip to Beasts and Brews just for that and more good beer. More...

Great menu. I've got to go back and try more things! Great beer selection with self serve taps.
The service and food was awesome
Very fun concept, over 100 beers on tap that you can pour yourself and enjoy however many ounces you like. Gets busy & people aren't in a hurry to vacate their tables, so the earlier the better it seems. Food is as advertised and what we got was good. Could be a bit iffy for the kiddos, wish I lived close enough to take advantage of the Butcher Shop On Site. Wish we had this concept in OKC though ... More...
This place is like nothing I've seen before and I think it's fantastic. If you have a problem with self-serving your beer or ordering your food at a counter, this is not for you. You start a tab at the counter and order your food, and then you use a "beer card" to pour as many beers as your heart desires, and the selection is pretty unreal. This would have been a confusing place if the staff hadn't been extremely friendly and walked us through the whole process, including showing us how to pour your beer to minimize the head. The food selection was delicious, although they were out of the mussels I wanted. I got trout instead with asparagus, risotto, and a Caesar. It was truly phenomenal and I'm not exaggerating. Dan got the pastrami burger and so did my brother, with mac and cheese. I wish they had something similar in Oregon. Atmosphere is a bit chaotic, but not in a bad way, so be prepared for that as well. More...
Great choice of beers! Excellent food!
Super neat place! Lots of room inside and outside on the beautiful patio. Easily accommodated our 22 person group. Loved the beer wall, every kind you can think of- even a few wines and Breckenridge Distillery liquors! Only 1 Cider would have liked a few more to try and a few less IPAs. Food was GREAT! Takes a bit so order knowing it'll be a while. Will definitely go back! More...
the best selection of beer, amazing food ( I've had about 5 different entrees myself) and really friendly staff. my new favorite restraunt! if you're hesitant, scared, or weary of anything just ask the staff they are more than willing to help accommodate any needs you have! More...
Popped in for a drink and snack - we tried the loaded pretzels which were delicious (took the advice of the girl who took our order and made sure to eat a pickled pepper with each bite - yum). We loved being able to prepare our own sampler and go back for more samples. Reasonable prices for craft brews. Service was friendly and helpful, and a ton of thought was put in to the design of the restaurant. Beautiful indoor/outdoor space and fantastic views! now that we've been once and know our way around we'll definitely be back! More...
This is a new favorite! Had to try the steak since it's a butcher after all. Excellent! The walls of taps of beer was so fun. This is the best way for me to drink beer with my husband, as I'm not a big beer drinker, but I was able to try a lot of different ones without having to buy a full glass. Love the concept of the beer card. Atmosphere is great! Can't wait to go back. More...
This was definitely a unique experience!! There was an Amazing selection of different beers and other spirits. It was fun choosing my own beer and pouring it up myself while talking to other people about what they liked and what I should try. I enjoyed the experience and look forward to going there again soon! Very creative concept!! More...
Went there for the first time tonight. As a first timer, it was a little confusing at the start, although the front staff was very friendly and took plenty of time to explain everything. It was so fun to look at all of the options for beer - we saw over 100 taps of beer, wine, spirit, cold brew coffee, etc! I got a nice sampler, and loved all the beer. For the food - We had the mussels, pork belly burnt ends, mac and cheese and the cubano. Mussels - AWESOME! Huge plate for the price, well seasoned, the sausage with it was tasty and spicy. Definitely a get again. Burnt ends - very flavorful, definitely would get again. I saw a few people saying they were more overdone than anything. Not a one of mine was 'charcoal', instead they are what they are called - the 'bark' of the barbeque with great smoky flavor. Cubano - good flavor, could have used maybe a touch more mustard, but definitely filling. Could it have had more meat? Yeah, but was about as much as the cubanos I've had at other places. Only thing I wouldn't get again - the mac & cheese. Pasta was a bit too dense, a little to little sauce, and could have more spice. Staff was very friendly, more than happy to answer questions. Last, I love that the 'tips' all go to a good cause - homes for veterans! Will definitely be back!!! More...
Great food and tons of beer! I love that I can try a little of each beer!
People who leave a small business low marks for offering a new concept are lazy crybabies who can't grasp the concept of self-serve outside of a soda vending machine. This restaurant is amazing! I love that they organize the self-serve by types of beer (so ciders in one spot, IPAs in another, etc.). It gives you tons of opportunities to try many different things in small samples. If you find something you love, then fill 'Er up!Yes - you need to know how to READ to get your beers. Crazy concept, right? It's like reading a menu... which their actual food menu is the BOMB DIGGITY! Try anything - try everything! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the beer selection is out-of-this-world. Food is phenomenal and the brews are outstanding!
Great food and great beer! Our first time here and the staff is super friendly and helpful. We're already planning on coming back next weekend!
Great food and beer and food!!!
We drove by this place today and stopped on a whim. It was pretty confusing as others stated but staff were very helpful when we asked questions. Cool atmosphere and huge selection of beers on tap along with wine, cider and spirits on tap. Just gotta be careful some beers are a lot more expensive and add up fast. We split the fish and chips which was enough for two and loved that it was salmon instead of cod. We will definitely go back but too pricey to visit on a regular basis. More...
Try ALL THE BEERS !!! DO It!!!!
Food was good atmosphere is nice and they have Coors Light!!!
I have to say, I was quite nervous after reading these reviews. I was nothing short of happy and pleased. I am a huge foodie and definitely a beer snob. The gentleman at the counter explained the entire process perfectly. Maybe this has been a learning experience for the company and I hope many of you return for a second chance. If you decide to go, I highly recommend the grilled cheese. The self serve is definitely an experience so if you're looking for a night of someone else doing all the work, DONT GO! I can't wait to bring friends and family here for a fun night and a different experience of going out. This is also one of few places in the springs that's actually offers seating for larger parties which is so appealing. More...
Stopped in for the first time and we will be back! The burger was excellent and the price was consistent with other places in the area. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. More...
Everything everyone has mentioned so far about confusing check-in and -out process is true. When we arrived, there was no line behind us so we asked a lot of pertinent [IMHO] questions which really seemed to irk the young lady behind the till. We did underline it was our first time, but she was snarky and bored. Duly noted. She'll get another 2 chances, but 3 strikes you're out though! ;-) The beers, ciders, and wine were all clearly labeled electronically. Using the card to access your drink is fine until technological issues crop up (which at some point they will... right?) I was told they had 84 beers although I didn't count them. I might do that next time while I'm looking for a smooth stout which I sadly didn't find.Nice, rustic décor, beautiful views which I don't think will ever be blocked by other construction. Location is fabulous and works well for us as we live in the area. I like that tips are donated to charities (Gary Sinise is the current one apparently), however that prompted my question to Carlos behind the till which was: "So, don't you all get a portion of the tips? Or perhaps you get a decent hourly wage just like in Europe?" No answer. Not even a smile, just a look. Then he looked away. Confused. My husband & I shared the short ribs as we weren't that hungry, just wanted to try the place out. Food was brought to us after having been told we'd get a text to advise us to come pick it up at the counter. The ribs were honestly phenomenal. Fell off the bone actually! The risotto was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and the broccolini wonderfully charred. Not too salty either, so perhaps they took past reviews into account and toned it down? Anyway, I was taken aback as I expected mediocre pub fare. Well done there! That quality alone will make me come back for more. P.S. We were told as an after-thought that it is also a butcher's shop. I noticed the wild boar and lamb, the latter which I love. I can get a leg of lamb or chops at the BX across the road (Air Force Academy) for a lot cheaper though! Everything seems a little overpriced, however that won't stop me from coming back if it remains consistently good. More...
Awesome place, great food and you get to pour your own!!!! Such a wonderful place to have your date night or just sit and relax and enjoy one of many beers!!
My wife and I have been waiting for this place to open. Finally we have the chance. We took one of our MANY kids (we have 7) who just started his new job today. We had three share small plates to start. Street Tacos - made with pork and some pickled sauerkraut which were fantastic. Shashito peppers with some magic sauce that were out of this world charred in a wood oven. And my favorite Pork Belly Burnt Ends - Do I wen have to say they were LIGHTS OUT DELICIOUS. Then we had Barracha BeansMy wife had the Elk tacos that you build yourself. All the fixings on a wood plank and that includes a full ear of charred corn that you cut down. The Elk was PERFECTLY cooked rate and amazing. I ad the Cubano because I LOVE a good one and this was ON POINT! That includes the pickle! It came with string fries tat were also delicious (DO NOT ADD KETCHUP) and a side o Barracho beans. Let's just say we WILL be back More...

I like this place a lot. I've never been to a place like this before. It was relaxing being able to drink a beer with friends without being interrupted. The food is great..... comparable to bourbon brothers quality, just a different atmosphere.Pro: 1.They have a butcher in house2.Best beer selection I have seen in Colorado Springs 3. Great location4. Donates all tips to charityCons: 1. Would be nice for someone to bring the food to the table2. Prices for appetizers are a little steep. 3. Should have a uniform of some sort. More...
I'm grading Beasts and Brews based on their potential. It's a brand new restaurant with a relatively unique concept. The food is good and the drink options are unarguably plentiful. The location is great with nice views of the mountains. Are there growing pains and some bottlenecks in the processes? Yes, but I know for a fact that management is taking the feedback seriously and working towards improving the customer experience. I can't wait to see this restaurant when it meets its potential. It will definitely be a one of a kind in Colorado Springs. More...
I've been here twice now. All the food I've ordered has been really good. The beer selection is good too. The ordering process is a little weird and can be chaotic if it's busy.
We really enjoyed this place. It isn't a 'full-service restaurant', it's advertised as self-serve...and the staff are very friendly and helpful! We had the salmon fish and chips, barnyard burger and pastrami burger. They were all excellent. Lots of beer selection, we love IPAs. I had trouble with pouring my own and the staff was very helpful. Food was great , beer and alcohol selection was plentiful and the atmosphere was awesome. Two suggestions for the future would be :to have a few sodas on tap (root beer, cream soda, cola) for mixing with the alcohol on tap and for non drinkers; food menus on the tables for people to look at after they start drinking so they know what they want when they get to the counter. Great experience for an opening week! We are so excited you guys are open and will be back next week! More...
Amazing selection of drinks. The food is unique and absolutely delicious. My husband tried the Pb&J burger which was recommended by staff. A bit of a surprising combination but very savory and worth ordering again. Their short rib tacos were served with peppers and mixed greens. I ordered one with a lettuce wrap (low carb dieting) which they happily accommodated. For my entree I had the Spadcock Chimichurri chicken which was a very filling- taking some left overs home. Again, they easily accommodated my dietary needs and swapped out the potatoes with caesar dressing broccolini. We live 40 min from here but it's worth the drive! Highly recommend. More...
