Just left Beasts and Brews, tried it for the first time and my family absolutely loved it! My 2 year old had some delicious French Toast and my husband and I had the chicken and waffles and bottomless mimosas. The chicken that came with the waffles was sooooo good! Highly recommend this place not only for their food, but also their self serve tap room. More...

We were brought in by the Passport Program and were super impressed! The decor is nice and the restaurant is open. I was glad that it wasn’t packed with pool tables, dart boards or bunches of televisions with sports playing. It’s nice to have a tap house that is a little quieter! It was really nice to be able to try different brews until finding the ones we really liked. Brunch was delicious. The avocado toast was different without being over the top, and the breakfast burger was AMAZING. The service was great, and we really appreciated the manager coming around to check on everything. We are really excited to come back. More...

Great. Inception with the taproom, super friendly staff, food was awesome but... too benign. Customers would stay longer if the environment was more entertaining. I really do like this place. Unique menu, ability to try all different beers without committing to one....the only minor thing I didn’t like is how they charge you right when the pour starts, even though the first 2-3 seconds is foam. But yes, I would recommend.

Hold the Press! Over 100 beers on tap!! I love that. This is the place I will bring all my beer loving friends!               On a side note, the door area could get crowded, especially if you don't know what you're doing and just standing trying to figure it out. You have to check in with your ID first and give the girl at the register a credit card so she could load a card that is used to self serve beer. Great concept! Just isnt very clear that you have to do that so i saw a few confused people. but once you have the hang of it, it really is easy and fun.           The selection is crazy. A ton of Colorado beers. they even have cider and wine on tap. The food is great.sometimes a bit salty but i understand that. it helps people want to drink more, and come on there's so much to choose from. Who wouldn't? The mac and cheese was pretty great. they also age their steak there in a big locker. It looks like a place you coud get a great steak but the atmopshere is more bar type. So, mayne get a great steak and drink some great beer, but don't expect romantic and cozy, this isn't the place for that. But great fun with an open concept restaurant with people buzzing about talking about beer, this is it! ANd a great way to meet new people.     The side of the restaurant completely opens for great views of the mountians. The decor is rustic reclaimed wood/stainless steal. The seating is comfortable and there's plenty of it. However, people aren't real quick to vacate their seats, they are there drinking so if you go for dinner, just know that.      Also, the pour your own is a fantasic idea, as you can go pour an ounce of whatever and try what you want without having to purchase a whole beer.          Over all a great place to hang out. Its bright and airy. Everyone there was having a great time. The only thing negative I would have, and only very slight is that the waitstaff needs to be a bit more attentive. The dinner plates need to be picked up a bit quicker. More...

So I have to start out with I went to Beasts and Brews as a part of a Yelp event. It's a new place and about a mile from where I work.  I had been curious about it so happy to go. (Just down from bass pro shops). I have to say lots of amazing things.  First they have a butcher shop.  I got to say I was so tempted to leave with a couple ny strip steaks or rib ryes.   They looked *so* good... next time. So back to the place.  The look/atmosphere is very nice.  Hip, it looks like they may have a fire pit or two (I think, but not sure).  Regardless it's a comfortable place.  It's one of those places (a couple in the Springs) where you get a card charged with $$ let the reader read it and pour your own and you choose how much (number of ounces, shot or a double.. things like that). They have a bunch of Colorado beers, some wines (some Colorado, some not), cider and some Colorado spirits.  A big number of taps, something for everyone. We got to try some food. Wings, pizza, pork belly.  It was all good and I look forward to ordering my own plate(s) another time. So all in all a nice place, lots of drink options, good food I'll visit again.  Just one thing to mention, as with all the pour your own places you should watch what you pour as you can easily rack up the $$$. A fun and good place.  Definitely worth a visit! More...

I really enjoyed my meals and drinks here. One of my favorite places in the Springs also has pour-your-own serving style, so I was super excited to try this newer restaurant out! First - the view! When I went, they had the window walls open so that you have this beautiful view of the mountain. Absolutely gorgeous! You order your food and get your drink card at the front desk, and the woman who was helping explained everything very well. Then there was another assistant to help with the technology. I had opted for the flight-style glasses so I could try just a little of a couple beers. She warned me ahead of time that I might get a disproportionate amount of head with the small glasses, but I really just wanted to try a few things so I decided that was ok. I really appreciated that she gave me the heads up though! The beers that they carry are definitely on the pricier side, but that's what you pay for good craft beer. I just loved how many choices there were. I ended up trying a few things and then pouring a larger glass of one that I had really enjoyed. Definitely go here with the mindset of needing to serve yourself so you're not disappointed, but that's the whole point of the place! More...

This is our new favorite restaurant in northern Colorado Springs. We find ourselves here once every week or two, and don't see a reason to slow down. We love the tap concept of the beers, and food is high quality. We are no longer interested in the typical bar and bar food, and would rather have the kind of food served here. There were some growing pains when they first opened that I think are reflected in the lower reviews, but we were patient as we knew this is NOT a chain restaurant. Anything owned locally is going to take some time to work out the kinks. Beasts and Brews is constantly tinkering and improving, so kudos to the staff. Our last meal was the shareable rib eye, Brussel sprouts, and a Caesar salad. Everything was incredible! Plus, you can't beat the ambiance, decor, and views. More...

I can't articulate how much I LOVE the concept at Beasts and Brews.First, serve your own beer and pay by the ounce offers a great opportunity to sample dozens of beers that you might never try.  It also is a bit dangerous in that you can easily rack up a bill without knowing how much you are pouring.  Thankfully, they set a $20 limit on your card and after you reach that limit you have to talk to the waitstaff to have it turned back on.  Great idea.Second, they have some GREAT Colorado beers.  I stuck to the IPAs, especially the Outer Range Brewing company hazy IPAs which are becoming more available in town.  All of the beers are organized by type so if you want IPA they are all in the same place; stouts, all in the same place.  Beasts and Brews had a few available here that weren't available at other places in town.  They also have wine, liquor, and coffee available to pour yourself. The food here is fantastic.  My wife and I ordered nearly all of the appetizers on the menu to supplement our beer sampling.  Every one was great.  We talked to a few other customers who were also raving about how good their food it.  Of note, the fish and chips is made with salmon; a good reason for me to make another trip to Beasts and Brews just for that and more good beer. Very fun concept, over 100 beers on tap that you can pour yourself and enjoy however many ounces you like. Gets busy & people aren't in a hurry to vacate their tables, so the earlier the better it seems. Food is as advertised and what we got was good. Could be a bit iffy for the kiddos, wish I lived close enough to take advantage of the Butcher Shop On Site. Wish we had this concept in OKC though ... More...

This place is like nothing I've seen before and I think it's fantastic. If you have a problem with self-serving your beer or ordering your food at a counter, this is not for you. You start a tab at the counter and order your food, and then you use a "beer card" to pour as many beers as your heart desires, and the selection is pretty unreal. This would have been a confusing place if the staff hadn't been extremely friendly and walked us through the whole process, including showing us how to pour your beer to minimize the head. The food selection was delicious, although they were out of the mussels I wanted. I got trout instead with asparagus, risotto, and a Caesar. It was truly phenomenal and I'm not exaggerating. Dan got the pastrami burger and so did my brother, with mac and cheese. I wish they had something similar in Oregon. Atmosphere is a bit chaotic, but not in a bad way, so be prepared for that as well. More...
