Couldn’t recommend them enough. From the diet plan to the workouts everything was spot on. I’ve been on and off with playing football for the past few years, was unfit and put few extra pounds on. And I’ve just finished the 4 week plan and never felt so fit in my life, and have now gained a great understanding of my nutrition and diet. Just completed the 4 week antidote plan and have been pleasantly surprised by the results achieved. 4 weeks ago i was unhappy with my appearance, constantly tired and just seemed to be plodding along with my terrible eating/drinking habits. However, i am now a stone down in weight, fitter than i've been in years and a general happiness in myself has been gained. Bear and Kelly are great at what they do and have provided great support along the way. I enjoyed the fact that each session was different and each session pushed us to our limits! The nutritional side of things was tough for me to start but Bear and Kelly provided sound advice and ideas to ensure the food i was eating wasn't unappealing and therefore helped me sustain the change for the 4 weeks. So much so it became routine and will continue to be. I have enjoyed seeing the new improved version of myself and for that reason will be carrying on at Bears Fitness to continue the journey. Just completed the 4 week plan with bears fitness and I have been astounded at the results of myself and my mates. The commitment and support shown by Bear and Kelly was fantastic. The workouts were fun, full of variety and challenging and along with the nutritional feedback and support, I have seen a great change in my fitness and physique. i have lost 12lbs in weight and my fitness levels have never been higher. I’m into my final week of the 4 week antidote plan with bears fitness and I can’t believe the results. I’ve always played football but stopped a few years back and put on some weight. Hard work in the gym, paired with a few runs a week, and the fact I haven’t cheated with the nutrition plan at all has worked absolute wonders. I’m holding off on weighing myself until the plans finished but at the halfway mark I was 18lbs down. After the first week I didn’t think i could do it, but now with 2 sessions left to go, I’ve booked in for another month with Bear and Kelly, both brilliant at what they do, and great people too. The nutrition side of the antidote plan really wasn’t a struggle for me, and I love food haha. The food accountability via the Whats app group literally changes everything, you’ll have no excuse to not eat well.If you really want to make a change, don’t hesitate to contact Bears fitness, it’s an absolute no brainer. Easily the BEST money I’ve spent on investing in myself. I joined on the Antidote plan and have loved every minute of it. At 6 weeks postpartum I joined to get fit and healthy. (I had gained 4 stone with this baby). This has given me the kick up the bum I needed to make lifestyle changes. I never did fitness before having babies and I am shocked at my own abilities now. I am getting fitter and stronger each time I go. I am pushed at each session I go to. And always leave on a huge high and very happy that I accomplished so much. I have been educated about nutrition and have implemented the changes into family meals too. I’ve had nothing but support every step of the way. I sent pics of menus when I was out and about so they could select better food choices for me. I’ve loved it so much I’ve purchased another plan with them. I’ve changed my lifestyle, it’s helped with my mental state, I am more educated about my nutrition, and I am more active than I’ve ever been. I'm currently 3 weeks into my 4 week plan at Bears Fitness and the results speak for themselves. 10lbs down, I feel great and I can already see a huge difference and the sessions are fantastic. The facility is full of equipment, Bear and Kelly are full of knowledge and the whole structure is brilliant. Not to mention the fact you don't have to starve yourself to get the results you want as the nutrition plan they put together is full of good tasty food and recipes. Would 100% recommend to anyone who's looking to lose weight, tone up, get fit and feel better all round. They really know their stuff. Cheers guys ill definitely be back again after this one More...

I have been training now at bears fitness for 6 weeks and I have loved every second !! just finished a 4 week plan with bears fitness and I'm amazed at my results, I feel so much more energetic and confident in myself. I hated exercise and now I'm addicted! bear and Kelly are both really lovely people and very easy to talk to, they both show massive amounts of support, not just in a pt session but every minute of the day, every time I forgot to WhatsApp over a snack they would be messaging me incase I had forgot to have it. Each session is different and never boring, as much as they kill me I love them! I have completely changed my eating habits and I enjoy what I'm eating. il be carrying on with my sessions! it took me a few weeks to pluck up the courage and start the programme but I'm so glad I did! cant recommend bears fitness enough! x More...

I have been following Bear’s 121 antidote plan for 7 weeks now and cannot recommend Bears Fitness enough. Being a new mum with weight to lose I felt so uneasy joining a gym / seeing a personal trainer but from day 1 both Bear & Kelly have made me feel so comfortable and have offered nothing but support. I am amazed by how confident I feel already training, and I am so pleased with my results (15 lb weight loss). My sessions are so tough but I love them, no session has ever been the same. Bear is amazing - he pushes me, motivates me but also makes sure there is a good level of banter which is key to keeping me motivated!! Kelly has not only given me great support with my nutrition but also personally, and has an amazing recipe book to follow. I came to Bears Fitness with a reasonable level of fitness and a desire to take my training and competing to the next level. With only a small amount of knowledge in how to train specifically for what I wanted to achieve and very limited gym experience I fully put my faith in what Chris Brierley was telling me and I discovered a passion for pushing myself to my limits and beyond that I never knew I had. The term ‘life changing’ is used very loosely nowadays but for me, joining Bears Fitness has completely changed the course of my life. I have recently embarked on a 12 month challenge which will see me compete in 10 of the toughest obstacle races in the UK, a coastal Marathon and a 100k ultra Marathon, culminating in the Marathon des Sables. A 150 mile 7 day race through the Sahara desert in April 2020. Yes it is me that is doing the training and yes it is me doing the races but without the guidance and belief from Bears Fitness I wouldn’t even be considering any of this. Bears Fitness are more than a PT service, they are a constant voice in your head making you believe anything is possible because, it is, if you allow it to be. No matter what you want to achieve, if you believe in what Bears Fitness are telling you they will fully believe in you and you will go far beyond what you thought was possible. More...

Started on-line training with Bear and Kelly 3 weeks ago. Was quite reluctant as prior on-line training concepts has not worked well for me. However, the way Bear and Kelly manages their concept is AMAZING!!! Its the closest thing to actually being there in person (which would be hard as I live in Denmark). They are 100% comitted and engaged, encouraging and really hands-on. Providing personalized training plans which match my fitness level and timeschedule combined with video clips demonstrating how to perform and following up daily to secure I get my sessions or active recovery walks done. Furthermore, they are on top of my diet, following every meal I have (I shave to send pictures) and thereby also keeping me accountable on my nutrition, day by day, meal by meal. Review of Bears Fitness For me I was looking for a different kind of Personal Trainer, a trainer who's knowledge was matched only by their experience to use their knowledge and experience to save me from falling head first into old age and being totally knackered and decrepited. I didn't want just any Personal Trainer I wanted a Trainer that just didn't churn out the same homogeneous exercises mostly targeted at someone younger and fitter than me and probably stuff that I couldn't do anyway. I am 62 years of age and overweight and was looking for the right person. Scouring the internet I came across a photo of Chris brearley at Bears fitness in Loughborough thinking he looked as hard as nails and not your normal slick over groomed personal trainer. could he be the one I thought. I contacted Chris at Bears fitness . and arranged my first session ..I had contacted the right Person He's a very different Personnel Trainer he's just right for me and Chris when you read this review hope this doesn't make your head swell but you are an absolute GEM mate. Been with the Bear for four weeks & have thoroughly enjoyed every session, obviously hard work but it’s all tailored to suit the individual & his/her capabilities. The diet was brilliant all manageable & enjoyable. Personally lost several pounds & have improved my overall fitness, suffice to say I will be continuing with him & my wife is also starting a programme. I got trained by Bear in Team bootcamp, a few things for you to know- he is amazing, gives you alternatives to injuries (I had two), he's so encouraging, supportive and it showed he just loved what he did!
He loves to see people get what they want & was there when I weighed in on my second week where one stone was lost :) Yes!!
He is such an amazing trainer and if he was in Ireland, I'd be onto him for training so yer all lucky to have a great trainer so close! Don't think twice about Bear Fitness :) You're in fab hands!

I’ve always been pretty fit but I was finding it difficult motivating myself to get back into exercising, I knew joining a gym wouldn’t work so was recommended The Bear and his training programme. The four weeks working with him has been brilliant…. I’m going to carry on doing it without him!

The variety of exercises were great - even the sessions that made me hurt for three days, because I’d do the same thing a week later and be fine the next day. I’m not sure many people can push you to the point of the sick bucket and make you laugh while doing it. Even when he’s not been there to push me I’ve been able to do the HIIT sessions on my own and still given it everything. I’ve even contemplated doing them on my night off!

The diet has been great as I’m very happy eating steak every night. For me it was easy to follow and I’ve still got lots of recipes to try.

It’s been enjoyable hard work and has been really valuable during a difficult time in my life. It’s given me some structure, guidance and the drive I needed.

I had the best time being trained by bear. He is firm and knows ur in agony doing any sort of training movement ur body goes in to shock, but he comes up sees the problem and wither talks to u to keep u going or if u can't do it finds a way to regress or do something else ! It's so nice that he is broad minded and understanding and a oluse he is so kind and funny and a joker which makes u laugh u want to go on to please him
I had the best time being trained by him and I learned a lot I would recommend him for sure u will aging so much from his training ,he has fine everything so ur in good hands . Good luck

What can I say about Bears Fitness, well it was the kick up the backside i needed, paying for a gym membership not using it, getting lazy putting on weight and feeling down about my appearance.
Decided a change was needed, I've known Bear for a few years so decided to get in touch with him, from the very first communication between us Bear was 100% committed to me, he was there 24/7 giving me all the support I needed. The training was high intensity but varied to keep me interested, always pushing me to my limits with loads of encouragement. As well as the physical element Bear educated me on diet and nutrition, whoever thought that FAT would be my friend. I lost 2 stone in 5 weeks and am now continuing training fitter than I have been in years making me feel better in myself.
Words cannot commend Bear enough, the proof is taking this mans expertise knowledge and actually doing it.
YOU want results then BEARS FITNESS is the way forward.

I've been training with bear for 4 weeks and can hand on heart say it's one of the most worthwhile experiences of my life. Life changing in fact. In the 4 weeks I've lost three quarters of a stone and my body composition has changed noticeably ( love handles shrinkage, arm and leg definition! The misses loves it ) . Bear pointed me in the right direction with nutrition, now I'm never hungry and always satisfied. The training is one on one and varied, no two sessions are the same! I look forward to every session nearly as much as I look forward to my cheat meals!
I first went to bear in what was a difficult point in bears life, despite this he kept my appointments religiously, checked up on me (and what I was eating) everyday and set me goals and targets which pushed me, but not once did I fell it was a chore.
Also, the flexibility of my sessions, whether it be 7am on a Saturday morning or 8pm on a Thursday night, bear managed to fit me in around my work commitments.
Big thanks to the big man, long may it continue!

Was the wrong side of 16 stone!! and a little on the porky side. Sat down with the bear and evaluated what was wrong with lifestyle, diet, exercise etc.

Made some adjustments to the diet and started the sessions which at first had me blowing out my backside, however after a few sessions found it easier the fitter I became and also the timber dropped off.

Sessions are always varied and sometimes hard but always within own limits and not too long which fit in well with busy lifestyle.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to shed some timber and get back into shape!!!!

After much moaning from the misses about my ever growing waistline I decided to visit Bear and try and sort it out. He was very welcoming and didn’t judge me. We have worked through regular hiit sessions and some weights. He’s helped me look at my diet and after just under two months I’ve lost two stone and genuinely look forward to my sessions. I can fit in clothes that have been in my wardrobe for far too long and feel so much better. Would highly recommend to anyone! More...

Today was my first time having a deep tissue massage. After a few years of weight training my left shoulder and neck where tight and had poor mobility.
Chris was very insightful and understood my needs accurately whilst feeding me a lot of knowledge.
I came away feeling a whole lot better just after 30mins of massage and PNF (stretching).
He sent me away with various tips and and exercises to carry out at home and in the gym to help the problem reoccurring.
Top guy highly recommend.

After seeing a few videos/photos from a recent family holiday abroad of my expanding waistline, I knew I needed to do something about it. Bear was recommended by several of my mates.
I was dreading the 1st session as I’ve never been to a PT or gym before in my life! Bear was so welcoming and easy to talk to, explained what my goals were and changed my diet for the better.
I started looking forward to going! Each session differed from the last with banter and encouragement from Bear every step of the way.
My love for going soon became contagious at home with the wife signing up for a month and my 13 year old girl now comes to every session with me!
Highly recommend to everyone, the 1st steps the hardest walking through the door but then enjoyment soon follows with a little / lot of pain along the way.

Literally had one of the best sport massages ever and believe me I’ve had a few! I got back in the car and my posture was instantly better, my shoulders have dropped a foot at least and I’m sure my neck is longer! Chris really knows what he’s doing, he understands the body and what was needed to relieve the god awful tension that I had (had being the appropriate word now!) in my neck and shoulders! I have been attending classes with Kelly and Bear for a while now and I always feel amazing at the end! They push you to work to your best ability and you really feel that you have had a good session! They are both knowledgeable and motivating and I would recommend them both without a doubt. The gym is well equipped, clean and easy to find. I have also had sports massage treatments here for my long suffering neck issues and they are the best sport massages ever and believe me I’ve had a few! The thought of personal training scared me but I knew I had to do something so I signed up for the four week package. From the moment I met Kelly and Bear I knew I was going to be ok, both are so down to earth and made me feel so comfortable. Each session is different and fun. They really push me and I'm enjoying seeing my fitness levels improving each week. I can not rate beard fitness highly enough. I signed up for a 4 week program with kelly to gain strength and to tone after weight loss. Not only did she help me achieve this she has also changed my whole perspective on health and fitness. Incredibly important, nutrition plays a huge roll in how we look physically but is vital for optimal brain function and the correct functioning of our internal body as a whole.

We set SMART goals with our clients, short, medium & long term goals, we constantly review, measure and check to see if we are meeting those goals and make adjustments to help our clients move forward in the best possible way.
