We had to board our dogs last minute for the FIRST time ever and Hannah was SO accommodating and helpful. Not only did she make sure my pups were well cared for, but sent pics and videos! They were in daycare all day socializing with other dogs instead of being left in kennels like some boarding facilities... Even though we were out of the country, she made me feel at ease knowing my dogs were in a GREAT place! More...

I had my doubts (only because I know my dog) but I was extremely curious and excited to bring my 1 year old chihuahua in for training. When i dropped my dog off last Monday, he was a stressed, scared little 5 pounder & overly excited at times; barked at any dog bigger than him, jumped, didn’t listen, very confused. I picked him up 5 days later and I’m shocked, & overwhelmed with happiness and joy. He doesn’t just hear me, then run away. He actually listens and reacts to my command. My laundry list of things that I wanted corrected, have all been checked off.

Steve was nothing but great from the moment I stepped foot inside the beach during my initial visit checking the place out. He accommodated the week I chose for the training to be done. And answered all my questions and concerns.

I am so happy I didn’t take into consideration what the distraught ex-employee below said. There’s two sides to every story. I don’t even know how any of that info she gave has any truth to it, as I just experienced first hand top notch service and instant quick results after 5 days at the beach/Steve’s home.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Beach For Dogs Lemont, both with their boarding and training services.

When I boarded my dogs at another business last year, they seemed pretty unhappy when I returned from my trip and got them home, it was like they were mad at me. When I boarded my dogs at BFD my dogs seemed much happier when I picked them up and there was no boarding "hangover" at all.

The training has been great. When we started our homework we saw marked progress almost immediately. We had issues with our dogs barking whenever someone so much as walked by our house, and as we applied our training our barking issues are getting better every day. When we've had questions about training, the owner Steve has come to our home and worked with us again at no additional charge. What more could you ask for than that?

I've seen some pointedly negative reviews that don't match my experiences with Beach For Dogs Lemont at all. I think there are two sides to every story, and I'm completely comfortable leaving my dogs with Beach For Dogs Lemont and have recommended them to friends and family who (along with their dogs) could benefit from Steve's training help. My daughter and I came in earlier to try and see if we could play with the puppies, I was taken back by having to pay five dollars to play with the puppies, but after an employee explained in great detail about what the proceeds were going towards I had no problem paying. There are so many comments on here about how horrible this place is. I went to Happiness is Pets and wasn't even acknowledged for over 15 minutes. We ended up getting a Bulldog from there, and had to pay over $300 in vet fees post adoption and they wouldn't answer any of our calls and when we went back requesting a copy of our contract they couldn't find it. If you want to be disappointed, go there. This is by far one of the cleanest pet shops I have EVER been to period. Thank you to the young lady who helped us this morning! More...

I bought a puppy from this place a few weeks ago and I can hands down say it was the best buying experience I have ever had. I worked with a gentleman named Zach and not only did he help coach me through making one of the toughest buying decisions of my entire life not only for me but for my family. but he educated me and my family, together we came to the best desision for all of us. They let us place with all of the available puppies and take are time leaning about each individual ones needs and expectations then we would weigh it against our family lifestyle and what we are looking for in a puppy. Together we came to the conclusion of a soft coated Wheaton terrier who we named Leela. Leela was and is the perfect dog for our family and I love seeing her personality develop around my family as she grows into an adult. Thank you for everything. We love the Beach! More...

I came in to check this place out and it’s amazing and so is the staff. The puppies are so well taken care of and loved. The puppies are happy and healthy and they even have a fresh water system for the pups that you can’t see in the videos. They also have soft towels to lay on if they’d like.
