Q&As

HR is NEVER boring. I'm a student of the ever-changing landscape of HR and a champion of creating happy, healthy workplace experiences.

I wanted to do HR and philanthropy under one roof. And voila, here we are five years later giving 2% of our topline revenue to our Job Readiness Program which helps formerly trafficked women find healthy gainful employment.

I have over 20 years of experience in HR spanning across numerous industries and companies large and small. My passion to learn keeps her up-to-date on all things HR.

Yup! It's our specialty! We are a remote company so this is easy-peasy for us to do.

We know all the COVID laws and they are constantly changing. It's kinda our jam!

Services

We’ll create a custom CPP for your business according to industry, state, and local guidelines

Train a staff member (aka your “COVID-19 Safety Coordinator”) to execute the plan

Check-in with you after it’s implemented to see how things are going

Answer any questions along the way with full transparency!

Sexual Harassment Training:
We’re not sure why people call it “Sexual Harassment Training” when we’re not training employees to sexually harass each other! LOL! We provide Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct PREVENTION Training for you and your staff in accordance with California Law.

Did you know in the state of California if you have five or more employees you’re required to do a one-hour training for your nonsupervisory employees and two hours for your supervisory employees? We know what you’re thinking…how are you going to do that?

We Can Help!
We offer training both in-person and online. We’ll always suggest training your staff in-person is best but if logistically that doesn’t work, we’ve got an online solution for you. (Likewise, we offer this in Spanish).

Oh and I forgot to mention we’re funny and we’ll be as entertaining as Sexual Harassment Prevention Training can be.

What You Can Expect:
•Learn all that is required for harassment prevention and abusive conduct prevention training under the California requirements

•A fun game of Jeopardy with prizes!

•A team-building experience with your people

•Introspective and reflective exercises to incite change both in your company and personally

•A truly unique and fun training!

HR On-Call
You’re great at what you do. Of course, you are. But there’s this pesky thing of HR that you know needs to be done you’re just not sure what.

That’s what HR On-Call is for. You can call, email, text or send a carrier pigeon and we’ll help with that question that you have. Need a form? We’ll send it. A reference or a resource? We got it. Just want to vent about the employee who’s driving you nuts? We’ll lend an ear.

We’re here to make it easy on you so you can focus on what you do best.

HR Program Review:
So what’s going on with your HR program? Are you 100% sure the practices, procedures, policies, platforms (that’s a lot of Ps), and the overall culture are inline with compliance, best practices, and a healthy workforce? We can take a deep dive into the entire employee life cycle and evaluate every bucket of HR from pre-hire to post-term and everything (and we mean everything) in between. The following areas will be evaluated for potential risks and liabilities: wage and hour, recruiting and hiring practices, performance management, employee relations, workers compensation, benefits administration, leave management, culture, compensation, and any other state and federal laws that apply to your business at your current and forecasted employee headcount and employer size and jurisdiction. A full report that identifies these risks and liabilities, as well as strategies for reduction of risk, will be presented to you as well as what you’re kicking butt at! We STRONGLY encourage your company does this so you’re aware. We all too often find out AFTER the fact and we don’t want you to be surprised with anything.

Employee Handbooks:
You know you need one. You also know you definitely don’t want to write one on your own and certainly aren’t too sure what’s supposed to go in the darn thing. OR, perhaps you have one and you aren’t quite sure if it’s up-to-date with everything it needs. Don’t fret. We’ve got you.

We can revise your current handbook or draft a new one from scratch.

As an added bonus we will roll out your new handbook once complete to your staff!
