We offer bespoke tutoring sessions by fully qualified and experienced English teachers to students of all ages in the comfort of their own home. We can help prepare your child for exams, from the 11 plus to GCSE to A Level, improve their English performance overall or in certain areas, or just boost their confidence in the subject. Whether you want a one-off session or regular, long term tuition, we can help.

I am an English teacher with 11 years experience of teaching GCSE and A Level English in secondary schools in Bristol, Somerset and Devon. I have been graded as an ‘outstanding’ teacher consistently throughout my career and have also served as Head of Department. With the recent changes in the GCSE syllabus, a clear and thorough understanding of the exam is essential. I have been teaching the new 1-9 syllabus for the last 2 years and am also an exam assessor, giving me a deep insight into what skills and understanding your child needs in order to achieve their maximum potential in English.

Sessions will be tailored to meet the specific needs of your child whether they need to improve certain skills, make quicker progress, or just require a boost in confidence. Fees are £30 an hour, or £35 for A Level, with any extra students costing an additional £10 (maximum 4 students), so getting a group of friends or siblings together can be very cost effective. Online tutoring via Skype can also be arranged, but this is not always suitable so can only take place after consultation. Please get in touch to arrange a session or to ask any questions.
