Where do I start? �
Some things in life are just sent along to try me. By try me.. I mean beat me around the head until I'm a jibbering wreck . . Of course this didn't happen, I’m from Croydon, but trust me.. I was coming close.

Around January 2017 (that's quite a long time ago now) .. I discovered I had mice in my cupboard under the stairs.
"no problem" said a polite man on the phone... "we'll come out and within 3 visits your problem will be gone”

About four days later one of the most miserable faced muppets ever to walk this earth turned up

He threw down some traps, & poison,and reassured me that this would kill all the mice and he will be back in two weeks to take out the dead ones and would block up the holes.

Apparently when he came out, there was too much of the poison gone and still evidence that the mice were coming into the cupboard, so he put down some more poison & I’ll cut a really long story short and say that this has gone on for a whole YEAR & despite my requests for him to clear the cupboard out and block any holes, he refused to do this saying that we need to leave a feeding point. He came in and out for about six months and just kept chucking buckets of poison down.

I have a 2yo and this concerned me very much there was so much poison about. They never cleaned up any mess left or bits of poison dropped either.

However, I’ve been trying to get them back for about four months... I’d paid them a fair amount and as far as I was concerned. They hadn’t finished the job.
But they don’t pick up and he hasn’t answered any of my texts since October

Last night 22nd February I was sitting alone in my front room and could hear what sounded like Freddy F@cking Kruger trying to scratch his way out, under my floorboards.

At this point.. Softer people would cry, but I'm hard. I rang my mum.

She told me to ring someone else. Which I did BDS �
At gone midnight actually, and they were FANTASTIC...

Their prices or website don’t include counselling but it’s clearly free. The reassurance at that time of night was very much appreciated.
I spoke to John Downham & he apologised for not being around the corner when I called but he would have one of his best men sent to me by 11am the following morning.
He talked to me for about 20 mins, Asked lots of questions and even tried to get someone out to me there and then, which I didn’t really want in the middle of the night but he seemed very concerned bless him, probably because I was now talking in a very high pitched voice...

Anyway, A smiley Fred & Bradley turned up this morning dead on 11am and to say they have done a thorough job is an understatement ��

Already they have totally cleared my cupboard out, Christmas Tree, the lot. They took shelves down, lifted carpet. Assessed floor boards.
(Spent almost two hours doing this)
Then they not only filled holes with wire but expanding foam and checked the whole area for any other holes etc.

Explained they would be back in a week (not two like the other idiots) But I was to ring them if I am worried at any stage. Day or night.

This company is amazing... some people promise lots on their websites but rarely live up to their service claims.

I’ve already had texts and a call from John, making sure I was ok, and happy. I am shocked to be honest for a company that deals with this daily, not to be blasé in any way about how worried a customer might be.

I would very highly recommend BDS, John, Fred and Bradley... I’m sure all employees from this company are the same as I get the impression John has pretty high standards.

Blown away by the lengths you guys have gone to here today to help me with this and am beyond grateful I found you.

I have a business next to a railway line and rats where making there home in my loft space.I called BDS. They are the only firm I called that had any kind of sympathy for my problem. The other larger well known firms had little time for me. It seems they only want large accounts, they were very professional turned next day carried out a full assessment, even pointed out the damage they had done to some wiring, very thankful.for that.The noises in the loft have now subsided but the lads still check the traps and mats.Great firm. These guys were great. We had some sort of small bug infesting rice and grains in our pantry. First spoke on the phone and they were patient and walked through many different scenarios. I ended up bringing in specimens for them to identify and they gave me great advice on how to take care of the problem myself, free of charge! Honest and helpful. I found a roach this morning and naturally I flipped. Luckily I was able to get it into a tupperware and walked right into Best Pest Control Services 20 mins later. The guy immediately assured me it wasn't the kind that infested homes (huge sigh of relief) and evidently it was a "wood roach." He gave me some great advice with what to do with my furniture that it probably came in with and I was on my way 10 mins later. I would have had no clue whether they would have had to do a visit to my home or not, which I'm sure would have costed big $$, I'm so grateful they were so honest and upfront about what it actually was! The man who works in the office at Best Pest has been a lifesaver for me on more than one occasion.  I had mice in my Somerville apartment and a plethora of different kind of bugs, which was a new and disturbing experience for me.  I brought in sample after sample of insects (and, in my paranoid state, things that looked like insects but were actually dirt) and the man in the office very patiently examined them under the microscope and identified them all for me.  I thought he would get tired of me or at least charge me, but he never did.  He is extremely generous and knowledgeable, and recommended ways I could treat the insects. Here's another review based on generous advice I received from the owner and his assistant--despite the fact that I had not contracted the company's service. I had a bed bug scare and, after talking to Sean on the phone, came in with samples I had collected. Sean looked carefully under a scope and asked if he could hold on to the samples until Rod, the owner, came back and offered his opinion. Rod found the evidence a bit inconclusive--my cats had likely squashed it!--but assured me that what he was looking at was not bed bugs. Most likely the culprits were carpet beetles, which I was advised on how to handle. There was absolutely no hard sell, and the advice was offered freely without pressure. Rather than pumping up the fear factor, Rod left me with a feeling of reassurance. If I ever had the need for extermination services, I would be happy to call on this team. More...

I have used Best Pest for years.  They are really good and really helpful.  They have eradicated carpenter ants and a bad infestation of mud wasps for me.  They have also done work for my disabled son who lives independently and they were very understanding about his circumstances.  They have also always been very helpful with information.  Good pest control can be expensive.  I find their prices competitive.  They will also tell you if you don't need to do anything unlike big companies that want to come in and will give you excellent advice over the phone. Our condo association has been using their services for years.  It was constructed in 1899 and like all of them in the neighborhood has old wood beam construction.  We had a community meeting the other night.  All the neighbors were talking about termite infestations, but not  us.  Best Pest doesn't deal with termites once there, but they certainly prevent them coming your way. We found a dead rat in the basement many years ago, they found the access point and fixed it permenantently.  They're really good, and respond quickly. . More...

I've been using Best Pest for ten years now.  When my roommates and I lived in Watertown they got rid of our mice problem.  My husband and I hired them to help us when our dog brought fleas in to our home.  Most recently, they gave me a free evaluation of our recent carpet beetle problem.  Ron even came out to my car to talk to me b/c I had our toddler with me.  I am their customer for life.  They've always been prompt, not too expensive and treated me like family.  Thank you to Best Pest.
