I met Ben as a volunteer at our local community centre and with his interest and abilities in design and graphics asked Ben to produce some brand designs for our proposed cafe, Mephisto's. Ben produced a number of terrific designs and samples of their use on coffee cups and banners. What makes a great website?

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the name of the company?
Do you have a specific colour scheme or palette that you would like to stick to?
What is the intended use for the outcome?
Do you have any urgency or deadline for this project?
Describe your creative process.
We like to research and look for inspiration firstly to try to be able to offer the client as many different options as possible. During this stage we will often make notes and sketch potential ideas that we can later develop upon. We refine this research and the initial ideas into a series of potential options for the client to present to them in order to find out more about what exactly it is they like. We then use this feedback to create a final logo that the client is happy with.

What do you love most about your job?
We love bringing people's ideas to life. We get to speak to people in all sorts of fields of work and they come to us with their ideas for a project. Seeing their vision come to life through the end product and how happy the clients are with the service is a great feeling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Ultimately I wanted to help businesses reach their full potential and stand out from the crowd. I felt like there is a lot of companies out there who with the addition of good design work could propel themselves to new heights. The fact that others can benefit from the work I create is amazing.
