I would highly recommend having Mirtha as your florist!. In the beginning, I was very overwhelmed but she made my experience as painless as possible. I had so many ideas in my head and she made note of the details, type of flowers and colors that I wanted for the flowers. Mirtha did a wonderful job going above and beyond my expectations. Brandie did an amazing job at our wedding. I didn't have a set vision but sent her a little direction along with the types of flowers and and bouquets I liked on pinterest and she did the rest. She was responsive and was very helpful down to the last minute when we had changes to our number of tables. Furthermore, our venue was at the top of a mountain making it very difficult to get the hundreds of little bottles and vases up, but Brandie and her team did it beautifully. More...

Mirtha is absolutely the best! B&B Floral Design came highly recommended by a number of my family members and friends, and I was very satisfied with the flowers that she arranged for my own wedding in August 2014. From a customer service perspective, Mirtha is very attentive, responsive, and enjoyable to work with. She listened to my preferences and then worked with me to develop designs that were both to my liking and within my budget. When she thought that a flower I originally wanted was going to be difficult to find or too expensive, she took the initiative to suggest other varieties. She is extremely detail oriented! Following our initial meeting, I felt very comfortable leaving Mirtha to do what she does best and I was absolutely blown away by the flowers at our wedding. Every flower looked fresh, was beautifully arranged, and offered a "wow" factor. When Mirtha delivered our flowers to the reception venue, she went above and beyond to make sure every table was set up correctly. Mirtha was incredibly helpful from day one. My husband and I were very much on the late side to look for flowers (less than three weeks before the event, yikes), but she did her best to help us and everything was incredible and seamless! She responded to my inquiry very swiftly and we had a consultation appointment less than 24 hours later. We weren't really sure what exactly we wanted, but she helped us figure out what we liked and didn't, how to incorporate our theme colors, etc. We'd been thinking about using containers seen at World Market for our centerpieces and then using them in our kitchen after the wedding, and we weren't sure if that was something possible, but Mirtha was happy to take our containers and turn them into wonderful centerpieces!She made our centerpieces, my bouquet, my husband's boutonniere and flowers for my hair, and we got compliments on every single piece of her work. This review is long overdue, but better late than never. My husband and I chose B&B Floral Design for our October 2013 wedding. I knew that flowers were going to take a big chunk of our budget, but I also knew that for me, they were going to be a big part of beautifying our big day and therefore, very important. I did a lot of searching online and review reading before finding Mirtha on Yelp. I was really impressed with the photos of her work on on her website. All of her arrangements looked so full and I could tell she has amazing eye for color and balance. I myself don't know much about flowers, but I can say that I know colors really well. After setting up a consultation with her (btw she has an office/studio in her house which is totally welcoming and very professional), I knew that it was a match made in heaven. We hit it off really well and it felt like I was talking to someone I had known for years. Most importantly though, she really listens to what your vision is and just knows how to make it happen within your budget. She gave me great feedback and also let me know when something I wanted was unrealistic, which I appreciated. My mom came along with me to the consultation and she had her own "expectations" so I had to keep reminding her that we did have a budget, but Mirtha was amazing at working with us and our budget. So I knew after signing the contract and paying the deposit that we were in good hands. She also offers the service of making a glass monogram cake topper with crystals in the font and in the color of your choosing. The price for the cake topper was so reasonable and it's something that you'll keep as a memory. I've seen the ones you can buy online and they don't even compare to ones she makes.On the day of the wedding, Mirtha arrived at my bridal suite to drop off our bouquets and I was in awe of them. There were EXACTLY what I wanted. Then my mom came up to the room and told me that the centerpieces were setup in the ballroom and that they looked absolutely beautiful. She was so right,,,once my husband and I sat down after walking into the ballroom, I took it all in and was blown away by how amazing the centerpieces looked. They definitely made the room and I couldn't have been happier with Mirtha's work. She is the sweetest person and works so hard to make her clients happy that I will never use another florist for an event again. I cannot say enough good things about her and how professional and responsive she is. My husband who was kind of skeptical of spending so much on flowers was completely impressed as well. Thank you Mirtha for making our day gorgeous and for loving what you do because it truly shows in your flower arrangements! I didn't spend too much time with flowers because I know almost nothing about flowers - so even though I tried to do research for florist vendors online, I ended up finding Mirtha and another vendor that our friend recommended and used for their wedding. We ended up picking Mirtha because our initial consultation went very smoothly & we connected with Mirtha right away since she was extremely friendly and personal...it felt as if we're already working to put our wedding flowers together for real!I let Mirtha work out a lot of the details because both my husband and I have absolutely no idea whatsoever when it comes to flowers - we can barely name flowers beyond roses, tulips, and orchids.I'm very glad how our flowers & centerpieces turned out - very simple yet elegant and sophisticated. Mirtha is the best!  Mirtha was recommended by the hall we had our wedding at (Freedom Hall & Gardens in Santa Clara) and I couldn't be more thankful!  My wedding was on 10/6/2012 and she went above & beyond and exceeded my expectations!  Our flowers & centerpieces were even better than I had imagined them to be.  I got so many compliments on the color combos and my bouquet (solid purple calla lillies embellished with small purple crystals on the tips).  She was always prompt in returning my phone calls & emails and was incredibly helpful when I needed her professional opinion on colors...even table setting colors to go with our flowers!  Thank you, Mirtha for making our special day that much better...you're definitely one-of-a-kind!! My husband (fiance at the time) and I hired Mirtha to do our flowers for our wedding this last month. After having a bad experience at another florist, I emailed Mirtha. From my first inquiry, she was amazing! She answered ALL of my emails in a very timely manner and helped us find our perfect vision for our wedding! She offered suggestions about how to improve the ideas that I had. She worked within our budget and her prices were way better than all the other quotes I got!I went to our first meeting by myself with only a few pictures of flowers I liked. Mirtha helped me find the exact vision, and went above and beyond!  She really took the time to get to know us and find the perfect flowers and arrangements for the wedding. Even when we went to our second meeting and my husband changed around a bunch of stuff, she was quick to offer suggestions and show pictures to make it exactly what we wanted! She was very accommodating to our crazy schedules and even took the time on Easter morning to meet with us!The day of, she arrived early and everything was lovely! Our coordinator even mentioned how nice and professional she was! The flowers looked great even the next week! I took our leftover centerpieces and decorated my work with them and all of our clients commented how gorgeous they were! I hired Mirtha to make the bouquets and decorations for my wedding, and I was very happy with the results. Mirtha didn't mind that I changed my mind about what I wanted several time, and helped  me select the right look to match my wedding. I don't know much about flowers so i had a difficult time imagining what the finished arrangements would look like, so the morning of my wedding when I saw the bouquets and arrangements, I was Shocked at how absolutely gorgeous everything looked. I was referred to Mirtha for my wedding through my coworkers (two sisters) who both used Mirtha for their weddings and had nothing but great things to say about her. I emailed her for a consultation and she was very quick to respond (I caught her at her computer at the right time). Communication is a huge must for me, so even if I didn't catch her at her computer, she always responded within a day and if she couldn't answer all of my questions right away, I at least got acknowledgement and she let me know if she was swamped with an order but would get back to me in a few days. She always kept her word. One of my biggest pet peeves with wedding vendors was poor communication.During our consultation, I had ONE picture to show her of what I "kind of" liked. I described a little more in detail what I did and did not like, and within a few minutes, she was able to just run with my "vision." The consultation lasted way longer than probably either of us expected, but it was just so easy to talk to her and hear her ideas. The more she got to know me, the closer she got to my vision.For years of wanting to get married and planning my wedding in my head, my flowers were the second most important thing to me (the first being my wedding dress). I knew I would go over my budget on the flowers specifically because I wanted it to be magnificent. And Mirtha exceeded my dream and vision far beyond what I could have ever imagined and expected it to be. The visual effect alone was absolutely breathtaking.I was not the only person impressed, either.  The compliments I got from family, friends, and guests was astonishing.  People always say that guests tend to remember few things about the wedding (usually they remember if the food was good or not).  I got several compliments in the following week about my bouquet and the floral decorations throughout the wedding.I also had a big concern with using certain flowers because I have extremely high allergies to pollen (versus scent).  Mirtha suggested low-pollen flowers and worked with me on picking flowers to suited both my color obsession (purple) and keeping it as low pollen as possible.  I had even asked her if we should do a silk arrangement of my bouquet just in case.  She assured me that the flowers she was using did not have much pollen in them. She definitely knows what she's talking about: I didn't have any allergy problems the whole day!Mirtha also takes constructive criticism very well as well. I had to keep making changes because there were little things I was unsure of, or one day I think it would look good and the next day I didn't. She worked with all my changes and needs and come the day of my wedding, it was all done perfectly!There are a lot of little details of my wedding that will forever stick out in my mind, but my florist was definitely one of the big ones that made a huge, positive impression I will never forget.  Mirtha is absolutely a doll and I hope I get the opportunity to work with her again some day! I had the pleasure of working with Mirtha for my wedding that took place on 06/11/2011 @ the freedom hall and gardens. From the first visit to the last I was ABSOLUTELY AMAZED by the professionalism and the intrest that Mirtha showed my husband and I. Mirtha made us feel as if we wore part of her family and made the stress of putting a wedding together much more easier. Her work is gorgeus and after seeing how everything turned out for me and looking back at the pictures i can't help but to say "WOW!!" it gets me everytime! My bouquet was just the way i pictured it in my head when i was little. MY CENTERPIECES WORE MORE THEN WORDS COULD EXPLAIN! I am absolutely thankful with Mirtha for making such an important day to for us just the way we dreamed of and more. Mirtha did all the flowers for my daughter's wedding last weekend. She was wonderful to work with, had lots of great ideas, told us what would look good in pictures, and what would hold up during an active day. Having seen pictures of MIrtha's work, we had a hard time deciding - each picture was more beautiful than the last. Nothing prepared us for the flowers that were delivered on the day of the wedding. They were absolutely stunning. From the bride's bouquet, to table decor, to boutonnieres, we couldn't be happier. Even though I have only been married once Ive had 3 wonderful experiences with Mirtha....here's how it happened...My friend got married in 2006 and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. During the whole wedding not only could I not stop smelling my beautiful bouquet but, I could not stop admiring how perfectly put together and beautiful they were like someone had taken an hour just to put together MY bouquet...and I was just a bridesmaid! I took notice to the flowers but since I was nowhere near getting married I did not inquire on who the designer was.  So even though I didnt know it yet, this was my 1st experience with Mirtha's brilliance....My other friend got married in 2008 and  used Mirtha for her flowers (unknown to me)...Again could not stop admiring the bride's bouquet of the most perfectly beautiful white roses Ive ever seen. The subtle shimmer on these roses reminded me of my other friend's wedding in 2006...so this time I had to ask...."Did you two use the same florist?"  YES! Mirtha from B&b Foral....ok! So when I got married in 2009 I did not even look around at any other florists. I figured I had seen her work twice now and both times they were flawless so it was a no brainer.  I cant begin to describe what an absolute GEM Mirtha is. Very friendly and sweet but knows when to get down to business. She makes you feel very comfortable in her beautiful office and has books upon books of examples and throws in so many great ideas to make your wedding individual.. She is very thorough and stays in constant touch with you throughout your experience with her. Mirtha must know the technical name for every type of rose out there...she is a regular pu pu platter of floral knowledge!!!  Even though its been a over a year since my wedding I still look at my pictures and am in awe of my flowers. My beautiful black bacara rose and Burgundy calla bouquet was one of the highlights of my day! Mirtha even makes sure to have extra boutonnieres just in case something happens and sure enough we needed it! We will always be impressed with all the hard work and time Mirtha poured into our October 2009 wedding! The bouquets, the centerpieces, the boutonnieres. .. everything was amazing!  I really could not have been happier!I met with Mirtha during our wedding planning stage. In years past, I had been to a couple of weddings where Mirtha was the florist. After seeing the spectacular arrangements she had put together for those weddings, I KNEW I HAD to have her for my special day. In our initial appointment, Mirtha was very helpful. Her wealth of floral knowledge and enthusiasm made her a joy to deal with. She changed what seemed to me like an overwhelming amount of decisions into something very manageable. I left that first meeting feeling very confident and excited about my wedding flowers!As time was leading up to the wedding, little questions would pop up here and there, and Mirtha was always very quick to respond to my questions and wants.About six weeks before the wedding, I changed my mind completely! I changed the theme, and more importantly, I changed the color scheme.  Mirtha took it all in stride and never made me feel like it was a burden. If anything, she seemed MORE excited by the changes and helped me to evolve my new ideas into reality.The day of our wedding, everything was perfect! Mirtha arrived early in the morning to drop off our bouquets and then was off to decorate the church and reception hall. Walking into the church for the first time, I could not have imagined a more beautiful setup. Mirtha had done everything exactly as we had planned. From the spectacular altar arrangements she designed to the delicate rose petals we stepped on walking down the aisle, nothing could have been better!Mirtha's amazing attention to detail meant that our flowers turned out to be exactly what I wanted and far, far nicer than I could have imagined. She coordinated with our reception staff, our cake lady, and our church to make sure that there was time to make everything as beautiful as possible. She really put in 100%, and our wedding seriously looked the part. My husband and I planned our August 15th wedding with no help from a wedding coordinator or planner.  Needless to say, we knew nothing when it came to the floral planning part.  What we did know was that we wanted the perfect flowers to add that elegant touch to our wedding, and Mirtha knew exactly how to do just that.In our planning, we consulted with a few other florists, but Mirtha was the only one that we felt comfortable with.  Not only is she very knowledgeable and experienced in what she does, but she is very pleasant and easy to work with.  We told her what our vision for the wedding was, and she was able to create the perfect arrangements for us.  Of course, imagining the final product can only go so far, so as any bride would be,  I was a bit nervous about seeing everything on the wedding day.  But when Mirtha showed up with all of our bouquets on the big day, I was more than impressed with what she delivered.  Our bouquets were absolutely gorgeous and exactly how I had pictured them to be.  The ceremony arrangements were beautiful.  The flowers at the reception added that perfect touch that we were going for, and all of our guests could not stop talking about how elegant everything looked.Of course, there will always be little details that will slip through the cracks, so I was so mad at myself when I realized that I forgot to order a bouttoniere for my Jr. Groomsman a couple of weeks before the wedding.  Because all of the flowers are ordered a month before the date (they are ordered from Ecuador-the BEST flowers come from there!), I thought that I wouldn't be able to get this.  Not only was Mirtha able to make an extra bouttoniere for my Jr. Groomsman at no extra cost, but she made a few extra bouttonieres just in case of anything also at no additional cost.  She was also very accommodating when I had to change the delivery locations at the last minute and was very understanding.  Also, she added little touches of flowers to different parts of our reception room that we hadn't planned on having flowers at only because it would have bumped up the cost, and she did it at no additional fee.  Mirtha went above and beyond what we expected, and we were so appreciative of that!My review may be really long, but I wanted to make sure that I didn't leave anything out, as Mirtha was so great to work with!  Future brides who are shopping around for florists shouldn't look any further. If I could give Mirtha 6 stars I would...I came to B&B Floral Design and Mirtha by luck, and when I say luck I mean total luck!  I had hired a florist recommended my our wedding coordinator, what a mistake!  After she raised the price by more than $3000, and told me she would be unable to get a particular orchid I wanted in my bouquet which she tried to convince me was tacky we fired her and began looking else where.  That is where Mirtha came in.I began calling local florists, but with 3 weeks before the wedding, most just laughed.  I was ready to make my own florals, when I called Mirtha.  She was VERY understanding and we scheduled our consultation for the following day.  She understood what I had envisioned with my flowers and made recommendations that complimented perfectly. When I saw my flowers the day of my wedding they were MORE beautiful and BETTER than I could have ever imagined.  She truly went above and beyond what I had expected...and as a bride that was a lot!  The entire wedding people were complimenting my bouquets, and at the end of the night we had guests practically fighting over taking the centerpieces home!Mirtha was so good that I went to her again for my daughter's Princess Themed 1st Birthday.  Once again Mirtha managed to top herself with the most gorgeous centerpieces yet! Mirtha is wonderful!!!! Mirtha, owner of B&B Floral Design, did the flowers for my wedding in August.  I contacted her about 2 weeks before the wedding date because my previous florist had no idea what she was doing.  Mirtha was very patient (I was so stressed and panicking about the wedding) and listened to what I envisioned.  She had at least 6 large photo albums full of pictures from previous weddings she had done.  My husband and I were very impressed and our flowers turned our to be even more beautiful than we imagined.  Mirtha was able to create the centerpieces just how I pictured them in my head.  My husband and I just loved the way the cake was decorated - that was probably our favorite.  B&B also included extra boutonnieres, additional flowers for the attendant's hair, and a toss bouquet.  I didn't ask for these additional items, but they were provided just in case I needed them.   Also, when we returned from our honeymoon there was an envelope full of pictures Mirtha had taken at the wedding.  It was such a nice surprise.  I highly recommend B&B Floral Design.    I'll post some pictures once the photographer sends me the files.
