What do you love most about your job?
Life is way too short not to love what you do, why you do it, and who you do it with. When we wake up each day we ask these simple questions: Is this our best purpose? Are we doing what we truly love to do, or just what others expect us to do? I have always loved working with individuals and entrepreneurs developing strategies to better their situation. We are extremely grateful for those we have served and opportunities afforded us.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I grew up working in my Dad's accounting firm. I was making copies at 8 and did my first tax return at the age of 12. So, it's kinda in my blood. My Dad started in our living room with nothing more than a vision, passion, and a relentless determination to create a sustainable business that supported his family and realize his dream of business ownership. That was over 35 years ago and that business is still operating. I started Bauer Counting House in similar fashion to offer affordable accounting and tax services to small business owners and individuals.
