Battle Mountain Farm

For my husband and I, we are so laid back and just wanted a chill wedding that felt like we invited our friends and family to a backyard bbq to chill and hang out and get to know people and have fun! And honestly this place in the beautiful countryside was perfect. You could dress it up super fancy and make it eloquent or just leave it as is for a rustic farm/barn look. We choose the latter for simplicity sake and it looked stunning. Plus Mandi was literally the best to work with. She answered all our questions promptly and went above and beyond even day of the wedding to ensure everything went without a glitch. Thank you so much battle mountain!!!

Oh! Also they have lodging onsite (affordable for sure!!) so all our immediate family stayed there the night before and night of the wedding which definitely helped make sure everyone was on time for photos and ceremony and such!

They even have some decor you can use if you don’t feel like buying it/owning your own! That made this easy going bride SO happy to know I could just return it back to the venue and not have to bring it home and be stuck with it!!

They also have many different spaces you can use indoors or outdoors, with a beautiful pond and gorgeous countryside scenery!!

They are so flexible with caterers and bringing your own alcohol (everything must be certified of course - bartenders, caterers etc) but it was so easy. Thank you Mandi!!! More...

We got married on May 20th and it was amazing!! It was a Monday, and they were so flexible with the prices because it was a weekday. The staff is absolutely amazing, and got back so quickly. They had everything we needed at the venue (props, arbor, drapery, lights, chairs), and if they didn’t have it themselves, they had a great recommendation for someone who did. Where do I start?! I honestly start to cry thinking about this day and how everything worked out. I don't think I would be as obsessed with our wedding if it wasn't for Battle Mountain Farms. The property is beyond beautiful and the ease of having our rehearsal dinner there, then the ceremony and so on... just perfect. Our wedding was 2 weeks ago and the weather was a huge concern but Mandi helped us with every back up plan possible! Guests were stunned by the beauty of the barn and decorations were pretty minimal. I would strongly suggest a Saturday wedding. Having the luxury of setting up Friday was a HUGE help especially with all of my DIY. They provide plenty of options depending your budget which is nice and plenty of accommodations for guests. We rented out the Guest House and the Cabin and it helped a stressful bride like me stay calm regarding travel especially the night of the wedding. Book soon! You won't regret it! More...

Battle mountain farm is a beautiful venue in rural College Grove. The venue itself was away from any roads and down in a “valley”. We had our ceremony outside in front of the pond and then the reception inside the huge, beautiful barn. The staff were super helpful and attentive to our wants and needs for our special day, and were also available in the months leading up to the wedding for visits and feedback and information as we needed it. The day of, they set everything up how we wanted it. The farm house is spacious and has an area for both the groomsmen and bridal party to get ready separately. We rented the cabin on the back of the property to stay in on our wedding night and it was so special and sweet. The contact, Mandi, was absolutely amazing to work with. She was extremely flexible for any site visits my husband and I wanted to plan, and was always very quick to respond to emails. We had our wedding at Battle Mountain Farm on June 9, 2018. It was a beautiful venue and the staff were super helpful! We worked first with Taylor and then Mandi came in when she left and picked up like she had known us from the beginning! We were able to come out and visit the venue beforehand to plan our layout and plans. And Mandi helped us all along the way to make sure our special day went according to plan. Even down to the day of, she and the staff helped set everything up the way we wanted! The day of, I showed up early with friends and family to set up, and it was minimal work for us to add our own touches. I wanted a ceremony set up in a semi circle, and although my father and brother in law, along with our helpers set up one layout, Mandi and her staff rearranged it in the way I wanted. Myself and my bridesmaids and my close family gathered in the farm house before the ceremony to get ready. I had hair dressers and make up done professionally and they had an awesome space to work in within the house. My friends and I enjoyed our time together within the house. And my family could come in/out as wanted. Our ceremony and reception went according to plan. The barn is an amazing place to have a reception. It is HUGE and can accommodate a large number of people. We had a short “cocktail hour” outside the barn while taking wedding party photos. And then had everyone gather in the barn for the grand entrance. Our DJ Rick Ryan, who has ties to the farm, made the grand entrance special and fun. And he kept the rest of the evening fun and entertaining! We couldn’t have hoped for a better venue and group of vendors for our wedding! And to top it all off, my new husband and I stayed in the cabin on the back of the property on our wedding night, and it was like icing on the cake! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the property is BEAUTIFUL!!! It made it easy to have our dream wedding! We fell in love with the fireplace located in the barn. We also loved the fields and lake on the property! We worked with Mandi, and she was soo so responsive and helpful! One of my favorite parts about the venue is that there is a home, cabin, and apartment on the property. My husband and I are actually from out of town so it was super convenient to have a place for us and our bridal party to stay on location! There is also a beautiful home that you can use for the rehearsal dinner and it has a beautiful bridal suite! I loved that we were able to have the rehearsal with friends and family, then a lot of us were able to sleep on the property. As an excited bride, I woke up before anyone else. I was able to sit and look at the beautiful property before anyone else was awake, or any guests or vendors had arrived. It was a sweet experience to get to rest and prepare before the rest of our friends and family arrived!

One thing my parents were so thankful and kept sharing with others was that the prices were so reasonable and worth every penny! There are a couple different options for pricing which is helpful for everyone!!!

Our daughter's wedding was at Battle Mountain Farm March 2018. It was fabulous. The scenery was gorgeous. The service was excellent. Everyone was easy to work with and the venue was beautiful. Being there is like going back in time to simpler, more relaxing days. And relaxing is how the staff at BMF makes your event. They are on hand to help any way they can. Battle Mountain is a wonderful place! The owner didn’t have much interaction except for day of and the trash disposal was difficult to organize, but those were the only small complaints. The cabins the party stayed in and the cabin on the hill we stayed in were wonderful. Taylor was amazing to work with throughout everything and the staff setting up on day of was amazing. Battle Mountain Farm is a breath-taking venue that’s affordable and all around such a great place. A HUGE shout out to Taylor! From when we booked to weekend of she was super responsive and worked with us anytime we wanted to see the property. I don’t know what we would have done without Taylor bc I don’t know who anyone else really is . I also talked to the security staff and the cleaning crew day of and the crew who set up everything and they were amazing. I met the owner for a second on wedding day, Wish we would have met before. And she’s pretty particular on changes but because we had a Sunday wedding the cleaning up at night was a little more flexible which was nice. We rented the whole place and the cabins were awesome. Great for wedding party and for us bride and groom. We did our first look at the bride and groom cabin on the hill and that was wonderful. Only major complaint is the trash removal. The times on when it’s open never work with a wedding at night. There is no way to take the trash to the dumpster after the wedding. So that was our only major problem. Definitely book here though. I was an out of state bride planning a wedding in a state I had never been to while getting ready to move across country when I found Battle Mountain Farms and I couldn't have been luckier! They made sure to answer all my questions and sent pictures for me to look at the venue from a distance!! My husband and I got married at Battle Mountain Farms in January, 2017. We had a more incredible experience than we could have ever imagined having ANYWHERE. This venue is perfect, the staff are so helpful, and there is so much space to create the kind of day you wanna have. We opted to rent the venue the day before to get everything all set up and hold the rehearsal dinner (an option we've never even heard of at any other venues), and the whole wedding party got to stay on site the night before the wedding (the ladies in the little white house and the gents up in the civil war cabin on the mountain). We LOVED this option because it made everything easier and stress free the day of the wedding. All we had to do was wake up and get ready and walk over to the barn when it was time. After the wedding, my husband and took the horse carriage up to the civil war cabin and stayed the night there before leaving for our honeymoon. That gave us time to rest without feeling like we had to rush off to the airport too quickly. We so highly recommend this excellent venue!!! More...

Sadly, a month before our wedding day our original venue was shut down due to unforeseen circumstances. Battle Mountain was not going to let us get down about it & helped us every step of the way in such a short time. Taylor is AMAZINGGG!! She answered all of my 100+ phone calls, all our questions and concerns & in such a speedy manner. She went out of her way for us many times & made sure everything was absolutely perfect! I will forever be so thankful for her & her kind heart! Now the venue--- PERFECTION! The fireplace, the tables, the mismatched chairs, the scenery. Everything! �� The bridal suite was the best! Especially since we had a huge wedding party. It fit us all and some of our family during the day perfectly. The added bonus is the cabin seated back in the mountains. We stayed here the night of our wedding & it was so convenient (short drive up the gravel road)! It is just adorable too!! & the fresh milk ��� I can't say enough about how amazing this place and family is! It will forever hold a special place in my heart & I'm so grateful! Held my daughters wedding there. The Hatchers and Taylor were very accomodating. Barn was the perfect size for what we needed. We had rented the house for the rehearsal dinner. The fireplace, pond, barn, carriage pictures at this venue came out beautiful. We also rented the cabin for the night at it is beautiful with a wonderful view in yhe morning. They have vendors they deal with..We selected our own which was a cost savings vs other venues. The photographer stated that with the way they did the ceiling with the tin and fireplace the lighting was beautiful for pictures. More...
