What can I tell you about Basket Case Catering of my daughter's wedding on August 20, 2016? Would it delight you to hear about how the catering team made a couple of advance treks to gorgeous Shylynn Ranch to ensure the set up allowed for smooth delivery of absolutely yummy food throughout the evening? Would it make you smile to hear that as our guests walked up the lawn from the ceremony, charming Basket Case staff were circulating with fabulous and inventive appies? That the barrel stave platters served family style at dinner brought folks that didn't know each other together and added a beautiful communal feel to an already beautiful event? Would you love to hear about the not so little extra touches - like how some of the staff made up appy platters for the large and hungry! wedding party and delivered them waay out to where the photos were being taken? People who attended the wedding are STILL telling me how much they loved the food prepped and served by these amazing folks. Chris Rowland, Tony and Kelsey and all of the really kind and thoughtful staff of Basket Case -- thank you!! Thanks for being part of a very special day...thanks for the occasional and much needed hug as we approached the day together and thank you for the spectacular food and service. I hired Basket Case for a bachelor party weekend for 15 guys and there isn't enough words that can describe how amazing of a weekend this was! Their team went above and beyond what any of us were expecting. They were always there on time, their service was amazing, and their food was outstanding. We had 5 meals catered throughout the weekend and all of them were outstanding dishes with superb flavors. Now while those seem like what you should expect from a 5 star caterer, let me add in a couple of the things that were above and beyond:

1) Communication - Throughout my few months of communicating with Chris, I had to change the menu, number of people, etc, probably about 15 times. No complaints one bit and Chris worked with me.

2) The first dinner while prepping dinner, Chris and her team realized we didn't have enough silverware. Even though I mentioned that there should be more than enough prior, without any complaints 30min before serving, her team went out and made sure we got exactly what we needed to have the best table setting.

3) With a last minute change to my group, I had to change one of our 15 portions of our dinner due to a dietary restriction the day before arriving. No complaints, got a beautiful (and tasty) alternative provided.

4) Fruit Shakes - Our entire group loved the shakes we had for one breakfast. On the second breakfast, we couldn't stop talking about it so much that Kelsey whipped up an awesome shake for everyone from what fruit we had on that day! It was not necessary at all but was an amazing touch!

5) Boys can be messy and the kitchen area always seemed to be WAY cleaner after than what we would leave for Basket Case.

6) Picture perfect presentation of foods - It was so good that our entire group could not stop taking photos and sending them back home or posting them on social media.

I feel like I could go on and on but the one thing that will always resonate is upon meeting Chris, one of things she said was "I know you've worked hard to organize everything thus far but now leave it with us. We'll take care of everything." There were no lies in that statement.

Basket Case really went above and beyond and rather than being our hired caterers, they really felt like part of the trip and part of the family. I would highly highly recommend them for any event and I know if they say they will deliver, they will deliver.

To Kelsey, Tanya, and Chris, Thank you SOSOSOSOSO much for an awesome weekend! The entire crew was super happy to have you guys there and part of our weekend. Your team truly made it an unforgettable experience!!!! More...

Easily the best caterers in the Okanagan! They were amazing to work with. We had a number of food allergies that needed to be accommodated for our wedding and they created a menu with options for every single one. No dairy. No gluten. No garlic. They mastered it and created a unique layout of stations where everyone could get what they needed to eat. Everything they could source locally they did and they designed the most delicious and clean meals I could have hoped for!
