We had our wedding reception at Barnabrow house in April. Every member of staff really cared about making sure everything was as we wanted, resulting in our perfect day. We picked Barnabrow house as it allowed us to include so many personal touches which was very important to us. During the planning process we always received a quick response to emails, from the wonderful office team. The food was AMAZING, and every guest raved about it, even the pickiest of eaters. The grounds are perfect for getting those special photographs, with many different options for backdrops, and giving you a privet moment away from guests. We would highly recommend Barnabrow House! Visited for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef main course was the nicest I've ever eaten . My only problem was choosing between the yummy dessert selection - in the end I opted for the chocolate marquis and was so glad I did.

I had my wedding here on the 7th of July 2017, from day one the girls could not have been more accommodating. Christine had her work cut out for her when she met me but always met my needs. The most amazing place and outstanding food ever....We got married here Saturday 27th May 2017 and it was just perfect from our humanist ceremony in the fairy garden to when we left on Sunday afternoon, the the staff were super ! ! Barnabrow is so homely, quirky, fun, friendly and fabulous. I couldn't recommend it enough for a Sunday Lunch, Wedding, Family/Friends Party it's an ideal venue.

Myself and my husband were lucky enough to be there last night for The Gourmet Evening as I won it on a Facebook competition, and we decided to book in for the night. From start to finish we had an amazing time. The food was just fantastic what an experience and all the different wine's.... � the staff are just so friendly and very helpful. Nothing was a bother to them. The rooms are just fabulous they are so comfortable and relaxing, love that there's no television in any of the bedrooms, as it's a country house you just switch off and just totally chill. The breakfast is fabulous a great choice and love the freshly squeezed Orange juice. Just sitting in the dining room looking out at the view...it's like another world there. We will be back for Sunday lunch soon. I would definitely recommend Barnabrow House to everyone. And if you get to stay a night you will not be disappointed. From the first day we visited Barnabrow, had Sunday lunch and a tour of the venue we knew we wouldn't have to look anywhere else. Fast forward a year later to finally making a booking - from that moment to March 23rd 2018 they were a pleasure to deal with.
We mostly dealt with them via email as we don't live near Cork and they made everything so easy.
Our compliments to Amy and Susan in the office for answering our random questions. And huge thanks to Christine and her staff on the day for keeping us on track as due to 2 family emergencies that morning, the groom and I were a bit all over the place. The food was amazing with the staff and customer service skills to back it up. I can't wait to get our photos back as there are so many fab spots, I love that we got to do our 1st look on the moss stone steps �
If we are ever in Cork we'll be swinging by for Sunday lunch for sure. I'm sure you will get plenty more positive reviews and visitors as all of our guests were delighted with everything.

From the very second we drove into Barnabrow we knew it was the venue for us. Relaxed, intimate and mostly importantly the lay out allowed us to spend as much time as possible with our guests. The staff in particular Amy, Susan and Miguel could not of done more for us in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself, these guys know about customer service and boy do they deliver. 1 week on and our guests are still praising the food, the unique venue and laid back relaxed atmosphere! Thank you for giving us the day of our dreams and always being there for a helping hand when things were getting a bit stressful!! We are so excited to see our professional photos, as there were so many quirky opportunities to capture throughout the grounds. If it’s professionalism at its best, excellent food and a venue with a difference, then Barnabrow is for you! I’ve been trying to write this review for a while now, but I’ve struggled to find the words to express how amazing our wedding last month was. On the first day we drove up the tree-lined entrance, and waved hello to the resident donkeys, we instantly knew Barnabrow was special. Nestled into the East Cork countryside, the higgeldy-piggeldy layout of the buildings is perfect for anyone looking for rustic charm. Which is exactly what we were going for! The staff in Barnabrow couldn’t have been more lovely and helpful, from the waiters and bar staff to the chef Stuart, who agreed to help look for my Mum’s missing fascinator (which obviously wouldn’t be in the kitchen, and which eventually turned up tucked into her bouquet!)! We mostly dealt with Amy and Susan over email while organising the wedding, and they were just brilliant - nothing was too much trouble, even when we had an unexpected extra guest added 48 hours before the big day! Christine, who was there with us on the day of the wedding was absolutely wonderful, making sure the whole day ran smoothly, and that we remembered to eat! Everyone of the staff that we met were fab! The food was second to none - before the wedding people kept telling me that I would be too busy to enjoy the meal, but there was no way I was missing that! From the black pudding salad starter, to the chocolate brownie, it was all scrumptious! So many of our guests have said it was the best meal they’d had! We had the most amazing day, starting with our lovely humanist ceremony in the sunlit ceremony room, and finishing with a trad session in the bar that lasted into the wee hours, and we wouldn’t change a thing! If a relaxed, charmingly rustic venue is what you’re looking for, then Barnabrow House is for you! Thanks so much to everyone at Barnabrow for the absolute best day! More...

We had our wedding at Barnabrow House in July 2018. Our wedding was organised my parents in Cork as we are based in Australia. Barnabrow was very good at communicating everything by email, and they were really easy to deal with. I know Mum & Dad found them very helpful on the ground and any changes we wanted to make (eg last min menu change) were not a problem! The rooms were beautiful and everyone commented on how unique the place was! We loved the house and gardens and it had a lovely rustic feeling. Lots of great spots for photos too. We were lucky with the weather so it was fabulous having the drinks reception on the outside deck. Dinner was AMAZING so many people told us how it was the best food they had at a wedding and there was so much choice too! We were stuffed! The restaurant and bar area was perfect for our part of about 85 people. Have to say the bar manager was sooo accommodating and helpful all night long, and had no problems with any of our requests.
