We booked in November and had it all confirmed and then got cancelled 7 weeks before we leave. Apparently they are now full and can’t move anything around. Similar has happened to friends of mine. It used to be a fantastic service but not anymore.

Even booking to register your dog (our second dog) consists of them cancelling on the day, not replying when you have taken time off work to meet at a time that suits them.

Such a shame as it used to be great and we have spent a lot of money with them over the years. More...

I used this service once and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My Labrador was happy when returned to us and the pics sent were reassuring. We also got this rescue dog, small size and I would like him to be part of it so i have been trying to get hold of the branch that covers my area for months and no reply, voice mail messages doesn't ring back, now I rang the office and spoke to someone that stated that was there only to answer the phones but would tell her that I rang. Received a WhatsApp message straightaway to say that cannot help me and she's more than happy to provide details of people that can help. I mean... half a year?! Very disappointed on the way my approach was dealt with. Very inconsiderate, not reliable at all. Never again Barking Mad More...

This was our first time using Barking mad Cleveland. There was a sleepover type arrangement to ensure Tilly settled when she went for a longer period. I was a nervous wreck. Tracy put me at ease & promised that Tilly would be fine. And she was! Tracy text me within a few hours to reassure us that Tilly was settled, and sent videos and pics. It was obvious how settled and happy Tilly was! You could see Tilly was having the best time! I was so happy to have Tilly home the following evening, and she was her usual self. we had a lovely little postcard telling us what Tilly had been up to. Tilly then went on to do a weeks stay with the host, again I received pictures and videos to reassure me she was settled, and then another post card at the end. Our pampered princess is a Romania rescue and we were really careful about deciding if. wanted to leave her with anyone. Elaine and John have been absolutely fantastic , they fully understand our concerns and we organised a trial weekend to see how she would be. We had no reason to worry Lucy had an amazing time. We were sent regular updates and pictures of how she was doing. After such a successful trial she's just come back from a week away and again with regular updates we've had a holiday ourselves knowing that Lucy has been looked same way we would do ourselves. 100% recommend their services to anyone. Anne from Barking Mad (Shropshire) has gone above and beyond to provide an amazing service for our fur baby. Anne spent time finding out in depth and detailed information and getting to know our pup to make sure she found the perfect hosts for him. Vinnie went for a trial sleepover and we were kept up to date with photos and updates. He has had his weeks holiday and again we were kept in the loop with how he was getting on. You can tell Anne has a very genuine passion for dogs and the business. It was refreshing to see someone have a genuine love for their work. This was our first time using Barking Mad, and was a sleepover type arrangement to ensure Micky settles when he goes for a longer period. Micky handled the collection like a pro, i however, was a bag of nerves! Mark put me at ease & promised that Micky would be fine. And he was! Mark text me within a few hours to reassure us that Micky was settled, and Colin & Lorraine sent videos and pics to Mark, which he sent us. It was absolutely obvious just how settled and happy Micky was! You could tell he was having the best time! I was so happy to have Micky home the following evening, and he was his usual self. Mark told me how Micky had comandeered the sofa and had slept with Colin & Lorraine on their bed, and my heart was full- they are my kind of people! Just to top off such a wonderful experience, we had a lovely little postcard telling us what Micky had been up to. It’s such a special touch. I cannot tell you how anxious i was, it was pretty ridiculous to be honest, but Barking Mad calmed these worries and it was obvious Micky was in the best of hands. Our 3dogs Josie Jess an Bella have been going to barking mad for the last few years an can honestly the service is fantastic , I wouldn’t put them anywhere else. my 2westies are 14 yrs now an one has lymphatic cancer so decided this year not to send them away but Bella is as she’s too young for my mum to cope with all 3 dogs an Nicola from barking mad could not of been more helpful by even saying they have hosts to look after poorly dogs . I'm a host for barking mad and it gives me great delight taking these dog's into my home with my own dog,you treat them like family and they really enjoy coming back to me because they get love cared for walk's etc etc,I love this also my dog see's the van and he waits to see who is coming to stay,yes I would recommend Barking Mad you can leave your dog and know they are well looked after.

I met Becci as a nurse while working my vet assigmnets. She helped me when I was in last minute search for my dog sitter. Everything went professional and as planned . Marley was picked up and delivered to my home address and I got pictures about his foster stay. Really satisfied and impressed and hope I will be a better ient next time. Thank you so much to Jane and Steph from the Chichester branch for making our rescue dog Scooby’s first holiday so easy and stress free! And a huge thank you to the wonderful hosts Kirsty and Joyce who looked after Scooby in October, we were so worried as he can be quite anxious, but Jane and Steph were both so reassuring and thorough with everything about Scoobys needs. We were sent updates and pictures when he first got to Kirsty and Joyce, he seemed to be very much enjoying his holiday! He even managed to sneak a spot on the sofa! We also got a postcard at the end of his holiday to tell us what he had been up to. Highly recommended Barking Mad, fantastic service. Why put your dog in Kennels, when they can go to a good home. Max was walked three times a day, went to dog groups to play with other dogs. My two mini schnauzers have just had their first “ long holiday” with Gill and Alan and have loved every minute of it! To be frank I’m not sure they actually wanted to come home at all! My boys have had several overnights before but this was the first proper holiday which clearly has been as good for them as it was for us! We have always used Barking Mad, Cotswolds, for our cocker spaniel, Dexter, whenever we go on holiday and we've always been completely delighted with it. Recently, we have needed dog home boarding for Dexter whilst we've been staying in the Newcastle area visiting our son. I didn't know what to do at first and then realised that there would be a branch of Barking Mad in Newcastle too. I spoke to Carrie, the Newcastle Manager, who was extremely helpful and booked Dexter in with a lovely couple. Dexter has stayed there on two occasions now and been extremely happy. What's great is that all Dexter's details are on the central database so Carrie had all his information, which was very reassuring.
