We are a local Dog grooming business who pride themselves on making the grooming experience as pleasant as possible for the dogs, we have gained extensive experience of grooming all breeds and temperaments.
We offer any thing from just having nails clipped to bath and dry or of course the full grooming experience.

I was recommended barking beauties by woofers courtyard, my little cocker spaniel Pepper really enjoyed it and she's now looking like a beauty queen! she smells amazing and her hair cut is so precise, I love it as much as Pepper does! Barking Beauties is the only place I trust to give Millie her hair cut for many reasons; she always comes back looking great (especially with the addition of a bow) however the biggest thing is that she is comfortable in Clare’s care, being a rescue collie she can be very timid but Clare’s approach instantly puts her at ease.

first time ive used a groomers for my sheepdogs. they look much better, fully groomed and bathed, trimmed up. deffo use again and will be having Fliss stripped down in the spring to see if we can improve her coat (wire wool! !) I took my 7 month puppy Macy to get her first groom today, believe it or not I felt really nervous as I wasn't sure what she was going to be like but I needn't have worried as the staff were brilliant, they instantly took charge asking me how I would I like Macy cut, listening to what I wanted, they made me feel relaxed and I felt much better leaving her, they are a very professional team and I was so delighted with how she looked when I picked her up, I would defiantly recommend them!

Thank you, thank you. Charlie is a Westie who has been so stressed with other Groomers. Took him to meet Clare and her team, had a good sniff around and was perfectly happy. Took him back for a haircut, he walked in eagerly and when I went to pick him up, got there early and watched him being finished off. Not a sign of stress from Charlie or Clare. What do you love most about your job?
All the different personalities of the dogs. From extrovert to shy, puppies to the elderly. I love making the scruffiest dog into an exceptional looking pet. Customer satisfaction is a priority.
What inspired you to start your own business?
One of the main reasons for starting up for myself included making sure I listened to what the CUSTOMER wanted, not just what the groomer insisted was appropriate. Also treating each dog as an individual not a conveyor belt job.

Bath dry and brush out. Feet pads cleared and tidied, eyes cleared and tidied
Anal glands
Anal glands expressed externally, this service can be separate or included as part of a full groom service
Full groom
Bath, dry and brush out
De-matt, de-shed, styling with scissors/clippers. Ears plucked and cleaned. Nails clipped and filed. Spritz of perfume and bow on the collar
Hand stripping
Bath dry and coat stripped using gripping tools and fingers, not chalk. Nails clipped and filed, ears plucked and cleaned scissor detailing when necessary. Cologne and finishing bow on the collar
Nails clipped
Nails clipped as a separate service or part of a full groom/ handstrip
