I came in for lunch to-go today. ordered a vegan tofu bahn mi sandwich and bbq tempeh sandwich, also two cupcakes. the bahn mi was delicious, so well flavored! I shared a cupcake with my fiancé (maple blueberry) and we were blown away by how good that was too! really friendly service! BEST breakfast burrito in the city of Portland. Check out the monthly specials listed on the wall. My recent favorite is the coconut quinoa power bowl. Lattes are the best I've had outside of Portland, Oregon. If you are in a hurry, no problem, they are very quick. I am so glad I found this cafe - it has a cute interior, quality food and beverages and reasonable prices. With it being conveniently located right next to Pure Barre I will definitely be back to grab a latte after class and maybe even a "bite" to eat. The first time here I tried the "sconewich" which is a breakfast sandwich they serve all day (thankfully). The description of it being on a bacon-cheddar-chive scone made my mouth water and it lead up to all of my expectations - so flavorful, savory and delicious! It was a bit messy to eat but aren't all the best foods like that? I also ordered a maple sea salt latte with skim milk. I was so happy that I could actually taste the flavor (sweet and salty) and that it was hot and stayed that way unlike some lattes I get that are only slightly warm. I even sipped on it slowly because I didn't want it to end. Loved the food and the staff! Had a bacon egg and cheese on gluten free bread yesterday, and hung around to do some work for a few hours. Also had a gluten free peanut butter cookie and a cappuccino, which were also great. Had such a wonderful experience that I came back today for a chicken bacon ranch sandwich on gluten free bread, which was sooooooooo good. This a pretty good breakfast, lunch or mid afternoon sweet pick me up spot, especially if you work in town. They have weekly specials, delicious daily soups and plenty of Luv cupcakes on hand. There are usually a decent variety of tarts, cookies and scones as well. I come in mostly for coffee, the bacon, fig and goat cheese breakfast sandwich or to grab a chicken bahn mi to go. Wonderful place!! Delicious coffee and baked goods. Awesome breakfast sandwich on their English muffin bread! The staff are so nice and friendly. On Christmas Eve, I needed some chicken soup but it wasn't on the menu for the day. As you walk in, you have a New York City feel of an upscale café. We were immediately greeted by friendly staff ready to take our order. Delicious lunch items on the menu included their signature chicken, tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned, served on choice of locally baked bread and such. If you're like me and have been searching Portland for a quick and easy and equally delicious sandwich, search no longer! The rotisserie chicken Bahn Mi is breath-taking ! It is filling yet lighter than the common pork variety... The spice is perfectly balanced and the fresh bread/ vegetables make this sandwich the perfect on-the-go culinary adventure! Went here on a sunday when I didn't feel like cooking. Brought home a rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, and cornbread for only twenty bucks. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the roasted veggies and mashed potatoes were very good, but the cornbread really stole the show. Everything tasted like home cooked food, and the portion sizes were generous.
