I went there for a week-long conference. The facilities were great, but I think the conference outgrew the infrastructure. For example, there were too few toilets for the number of delegates. The location is well maintained and has beautiful grounds, it is peaceful and really a lovely place. The staff are excellent. Top Mark's for incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well organised. But room decor in need of an update, especially the bathroom, room 2 bath paint or reskinning wrinkled. The pillows are very hard, an alternative softer one kept in the wardrobe would have been wonderful. A plug next to a mirror also needed, the extension on the hairdryer should be a temporary measure only. Finally your lake is so beautiful but no breakfast tables available with a view of the lake. Spent three nights at St Ives with my family recently and had a most fantastic stay in the executive chalets. Cynthia, the receptionist was welcoming and the very essence of charm and helpfulness. The setting is fantastic with zebra, dear, wildebeest etc roaming free around the estate.
