Bare Groove is an energetic and versatile function band performing some of the greatest hits from the 1950's to the present day with a slick backing band, funky live horn section and powerful lead vocals and harmonies. Our 8-piece band (with sound and lighting engineer) offers you a fantastic show covering classic Motown, Soul, Pop, Funk and Rock tunes to guarantee that you, your guests and the band will be dancing all night!

What do you love most about your job?
Meeting a wide range of couples, clients and suppliers provides me with opportunities to network, work alongside other likeminded professionals and most importantly provide a fantastic show that leave everyone wanting more!! To see packed dance floor, interaction with the client and guests (having everyone involved) is fulfilling. Being given a challenge to provide something different (I have arranged additional lighting, dance floors, shared my reliable contacts to ensure everything runs smoothly and making it stress free as possible for all involved) and give the best service and musical experience.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always been in bands, both good and bad. It was only when I booked a band for my own wedding, I realised I could do better with my own business model. The band I booked were musically excellent and well known on the London music scene. However, from the experience I had from the booking stage to our actual wedding day made me think they were missing a trick with regard to client and customer care.
After arranging a group of musicians to play at a friends wedding, Bare Groove formed. This lead to our first three enquiries for weddings and the moment I interacted with those couples, venues and other suppliers, I was hooked! The satisfaction of listening to what clients wanted, exceeding their expectations and receiving great testimonials was truly rewarding. Also working with other industry suppliers with the same work ethic meant it was a joy to go to work.

There are hundreds of bands for clients to choose from and this keeps us on our toes with a need to be a company that has to be adaptable and reflect change periodically; it is a very competitive yet exciting industry to be involved in.
Being the highlight of a client's big occasion is our aim and is extremely satisfying to know they would recommend us to other potential clients. With over 90% of our work coming via recommendations, we strive to be one of the best wedding/party bands in the South East.

As part of the band, or separately we can provide excellent DJ's for your event. Playing all styles of music of your choice from Top 40, Rock, Pop, Dance, RnB, Reggae or just background chilled music, whatever you want we have the right DJ to suit any occasion
