Q&As

What I love about the therapy is sitting down with a person, for example, with YOU, to talk. During these, usually weekly, conversations we construct a solid and safe therapeutic relationship, where YOU can begin exploring in depth the dynamics of what troubles you, be it depression, anxiety, relationship problems or many other life situations.

There is a long-standing tradition of being a solo practitioner in psychotherapy. In my practice, I draw upon the works and experiences of the early practitioners of psychotherapy as developed by other gifted psychotherapists and theorists over many decades since then. Private practice offers certain luxuries to YOU as as the client. For instance, you don't have to be limited by the public health access restrictions, etc.

In the times of COVID-19, psychotherapy is online or by phone only. The office will return back to face-to-face meetings when we get a directive that it is safe to relax the social isolation measures. The therapy phone/online connection is secure and easy. Therapy tends to be more focused on helping YOU cope with the rapidly changing world and the difficulties that the coronavirus introduced into our lives, difficulties adjusting to new life challenges, uncertainty, anxiety, loss, fear of the future, etc. If you are considering psychotherapy, YOU are taking an important and courageous step which can potentially contribute powerfully to improving your life today and in the years to come. I invite persons interested in starting psychotherapy to meet with me for a couple of initial sessions. During those sessions, we sit down to discuss your situation, needs, and concerns. We take your history and you get to sit down in my office to see if you can imagine doing therapy with me. You ask me any therapy-related questions, etc. If we both feel that it is a good match, we plan and start the therapy, which often involves a commitment of at least six months, often longer of weekly meetings.
