I love coming to Bar Pa Tea for my two favorite desserts - bubble tea and ice cream. They even do a fusion of the two and you can choose between tiny or regular sized tapioca inside your soft serve! I usually go for their oolong and black tea swirl and the flavor is so fragrant. Over the past weekend, I went there to try out their collaboration with Kitsby and their oatmilk jasmine matcha & green tea swirl was really good as well. If you're like me and can't choose between getting bubble tea or soft serve, then this is the perfect place for you. More...

Still didn't get to try their soft serve ice cream, because I was looking for something more along the lines of a Milk Tea flavor, and they didn't have it, so my friends and I grabbed a couple of drinks instead. They do have new seasonal soft serve ice cream flavors though: Rose Green Tea and Jasmine Matcha. Anyways, the drinks are delicious. And the shop was warm and cozy, perfect in comparison to the weather outside. The little pink pumpkin decorations inside the shop were cute too. More...

Stopped by on Black Friday afternoon to try out their famous boba soft serve. The store was very small, with only around 10 seats. My friend and I managed to snag some seats to enjoy our dessert. I ordered the jasmine green tea soft serve with both small and large tapioca pearls. The total came around $6, but not surprising for a novelty dessert. At first bite, I could only taste the jasmine, but then the green tea hit and I couldn't stop eating! The tapioca was also well done and fun to eat in combination with the soft serve. If you're a boba fanatic, stop by and try this place out. More...

Their milk tea (I got the original flavor hot with half sugar and boba pearls) was bland - it didn't really taste like anything, which is not what I was expecting for half sugar bubble tea. I couldn't taste any tea flavor. I wouldn't recommend getting a milk tea here - save your money and stomach space for a different bubble tea place. HOWEVER, their milk tea soft serve with the boba topping was absolutely delicious! I would definitely order it again and I do recommend it. The tea flavor was strong, a little sweet, and the pearls were chewy and yummy. More...

Great place for tea and ice cream near SoHo. After a long day of shopping, we needed a break, so we headed to Bar Pa Tea. Got their Oolong soft serve, which is super creamy and smooth . The workers here must take a course in getting the perfect swirl down because they get it right every time! We also got my go-to which is their Grapefruit with Yakult. My boyfriend, who is more adventurous, got their Grapefruit Green Tea with Umeboshi (plum). After drinking his, I found a new go-to, because it wasn't overly sweet just the way I like it, and after a few sips I found that mine was too sweet in comparison. Both drinks are great, but I'm glad my boyfriend discovered the the umeboshi green tea! More...

Glad we stopped in to grab a jasmine latte with no boba.  I was worried because some of the reviews said the Jasmine tea tasted over brewed.  Hubs and I didn't think the tea was over brewed at all.  We thought the Jasmine tea was perfect. We ordered with regular milk and 25% sugar.  I would absolutely come here again for the milk tea! Staff: The staff was friendly when we arrived and took our order almost immediately.  They were really fast at making our drinks too. We only waited a couple of minutes.  The place wasn't too crowded on a Sunday evening.  There were a couple of seats available so we hung out to rest our feet from shopping all afternoon while enjoying the Jasmine latte. I have only had the soft serve with boba here and it is such a unique dessert in which the ingredients actually work quite well together. I thoroughly enjoyed my dessert, and had the seasonal flavors which were the rose green milk tea and jasmine matcha green milk tea swirled. A soft serve here will run you about $5-6, which is pretty reasonable, considering other dessert places are charging well up to $8-9 for ice cream cones. They also do punch cards for frequent flyers (trust me, you'll definitely be one if you live in NYC). I'd definitely recommend Bar Pa tea to all of my out of town friends. More...

They also give you options to choose where to put the bubbles in your soft serve if you do want some. If you put it in the bottom, they put some in the middle too which I liked. New York itself is a metropolis of bubble tea, and there is never a shortage. Boba has this insane cult following in the most urban and metropolitan cities and New York is in my opinion the largest of the American hubs. San Francisco and Los Angeles are contenders for the 2nd largest. So whenever I am in New York, which I usually visit during the summer months; I am usually holding some sort of tea drink to get through the heat.I have had Bar Pa Tea bookmarked for quite some time and took my cousin there to have boba and soft serve. A quaint cafe set up in white with a minimalist interior. When I had arrived there was a small line with patrons eager to order a cup of soft serve topped with golden boba. I went in hoping to try their ube soft serve and unfortunately they were not producing that flavor as ube was for the winter season. So I ended up ordering their oolong tea soft serve topped with extra chewy golden colored honey boba. The soft serve was creamy and full of oolong flavor and the boba was a delight to eat. I did also order a grapefruit green tea with golden boba; yes I had more boba and it was so refreshing especially on a hot summers day.I would say that If I lived in New York, that I would be visiting Bar Pa Tea on a daily basis and it would become my favorite spot for bubble tea. It was one of those moments where you're craving something sweet and don't candy, but something much more refined. But, not too refined as it should be kept casual during the day. This is where Bar Pa Tea stands out of the large crowd of boba shops in Lower Manhattan. There's a variety of flavors for you to choose, and any decision will not be a mistake. I decided to go with the Matcha Green Tea Latte, and it was the best decision I've made for boba. 3.5/5Came by Bar Pa Tea after having this place bookmarked for years. Boba soft serve isn't as uncommon as it used to be but I still had to try it here. Came by on a Tuesday afternoon in the winter. The shop is small and there are a handful of tiny tables. There were 1-2 coming in and out during my visit. They had free wifi so I was even able to get some work done. For my soft serve I got the Oolong and Black Tea swirl. The consistency is smooth but had that firmer less fatty/milky overall texture. The black tea is relatively mellow while the oolong has a bit more of that off pungency. Not quite fragrant but something that says it's not normal tea. However once the two are mixed together it's pretty hard to tell either way.The boba itself is on the light and gummy side. I got the mixed size which includes tiny pearls and large pearls. I prefer the large overall but mixed did offer more variation in texture. They ask if you want them on the top or bottom but honestly it's a lose/lose. It's a bit difficult to eat when they're piled on top but hard to get the right ratio if they're buried at the bottom. Personally I'd ask them to maybe just put half the amount on the bottom and half on top.Overall, Bar Pa Tea wasn't anything too special but it was a fun new take on how to get my fill of boba.
