I've been a member for almost a year but I was also a member a few years ago. I really like the club, it's not too busy even at peak times, I still find I can get on something until what I want is free. I like using the swimming pool, admittedly it gets rather busy at times but I can usually find a slot where I can get my session done. Staff are friendly and the cafe is well stocked and reasonably priced. I pay a corporate price which is a fair price, I'm not sure I would pay the full membership price though, seems a bit steep. A well equipped gym, can always walk in and find a piece of equipment to get on.
Has a large selection of different types of equipment to cater to various training methods.
The gym is clean and tidy and well looked after.
There are frequent group classes and the spin classes are really good.
The membership prices are moderate-expensive, but worth the cost with the facilities you have acess to (pool,sauna,steam room,cafe) and the many member discounts you get at other shops and attractions (loving the 50% off at thorpe park)
The changing rooms are large enough and the showers are always hot.
If I had to find one negative, it would be how quick the showers cut off after pushing the button, but even that's not a massive pain.
Would definitely advise you to choose this gym, a lot better than "thegym" in Eastbourne and a cheaper alternative to the ridiculous prices at David Llyods.
